"Android’s Flexibility Fuels Impactful Apps with Kotlin, AI, and IoT"

5/5

What do you like best about Android?

What I like best about Android is its flexibility and the ability to build applications that solve real-world problems. I enjoy working with Kotlin, integrating AI and IoT features, and creating user-friendly mobile apps. Android's open ecosystem, large developer community, and continuous innovation allow me to learn new technologies and develop impactful applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Android?

One challenge with Android is device fragmentation. Different screen sizes, hardware capabilities, and Android versions can make development and testing more complex. However, I enjoy solving these challenges by following Android best practices, testing across devices, and building apps that provide a consistent user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Android solving and how is that benefiting you?

Android solves the problem of making technology accessible to everyone by providing an open, affordable, and widely available mobile platform. It enables developers to build applications for millions of users across different devices. For me, Android has provided opportunities to learn Kotlin, mobile app development, AI integration, and IoT solutions. It has helped me build real-world projects, improve my technical skills, and prepare for a career in Android and software development. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Android Experience with Seamless Google App Integration"

4/5

What do you like best about Android?

I’ve been using Android as my primary mobile OS for years, and I find its interface intuitive and straightforward. It’s easy to navigate with little to no learning curve, so I can get things done quickly. The integration with Google apps like Gmail, Drive, and Meet feels seamless, which is especially helpful when I’m working on the go. I also appreciate the wide range of apps available on the Play Store, since it means I rarely have to look elsewhere for the tools I need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Android?

One thing I dislike about Android is how differently each phone manufacturer customizes the interface, which can make it confusing when switching between devices. Over time, the phone also tends to slow down, especially on mid-range models. Battery optimization can sometimes be too aggressive and close background apps, which interrupts tasks that are still running. Software update support varies a lot by brand as well, and some devices stop receiving updates too early. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Android solving and how is that benefiting you?

Honestly, the biggest thing Android solves for me is convenience. I don’t always have my laptop with me, but my phone is always in my pocket, so I can check Gmail, jump on a Meet call, or open a Drive file without thinking twice. It’s simply become part of how I work day to day. On top of that, I got my current phone at a pretty reasonable price, and it still does everything I need. I didn’t have to spend a fortune just to stay productive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible File Management and Smooth Heavy Editing on Android"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Android?

Honestly, the best thing about Android is how customizable and open the whole system is. Being in my 5th semester of B.Sc. at Dr. Hari Singh Gaur University, my phone is basically overflowing with heavy PDFs, practical records, and research papers on things like wave mechanics and trace evidence analysis. Android's built-in file manager is an absolute lifesaver for this. I can create proper sub-folders for Physics, Chemistry, and Forensic Science just like I do on my laptop, which makes finding my optics assignments or chemical analysis monographs so much faster right before a class deadline. Apart from my studies, I am also very much into lifestyle content creation. I constantly need to download third-party presets, custom fonts, and run heavy editing apps to get specific aesthetics (like vintage polaroid styles) for my skincare brand collaborations. Android handles all these heavy editing apps without freezing. Plus, transferring large 4k video files and lab equipment photos from my phone directly to my laptop using a simple USB cable or Quick Share, without needing any restricted software, saves me hours every single week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Android?

Honestly, the biggest issue I face is the inconsistent background app management. When I'm in the middle of a practical in my physics or chemistry lab at university, I often switch between my camera to take pictures of observation tables and my PDF viewer to read the experiment procedure. Sometimes Android aggressively closes the PDF app in the background to save RAM or battery, and I lose my exact page. It's really frustrating when you are trying to note down readings quickly. Also, the battery drains quite fast if I use heavy photo editing apps for my content creation right after attending classes all day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Android solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a 5th sem B.Sc. student at Dr. Hari Singh Gaur University who is also trying to build a profile as a content creator, Android acts like my main daily hub. The biggest problem it solves is multitasking and file management. I can easily download heavy forensic science monographs or study notes directly into specific folders, exactly like I do on a laptop. At the same time, it handles all my lifestyle photo editing without lagging. The split-screen feature is an absolute lifesaver when I need to read my lab notes on one half of the screen and type out an email for a brand collaboration on the other half. It basically keeps my academic and creative life sorted in one single device. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The Most Versatile OS for Science Students"

5/5

What do you like best about Android?

As a B.Sc. student at Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, I find Android incredibly helpful for my daily academic life. The best part is its massive ecosystem of educational apps. I use it to attend online lectures, access my university's portal (dhsgsu.edu.in), and manage my study materials in PDF format. The seamless integration with Google Drive and YouTube is essential for my Physics, Mathematics, and Statistics studies, as I can quickly switch between research papers and video lectures. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Android?

One minor issue for a student like me is that some manufacturers include pre-installed apps (bloatware) that take up storage space, which can be limited on student-budget devices. Also, while the customization is great, it sometimes makes the system feel a bit cluttered compared to simpler operating systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Android solving and how is that benefiting you?

Android acts as my portable study hub. It allows me to stay connected with my university study groups and access academic resources like lecture videos and PDF textbooks even when I am away from my laptop. It has made accessing my coursework much more efficient, which is crucial for a student juggling multiple demanding subjects like Physics, Mathematics, and Statistics at Dr. Hari Singh Gour Central University. "Flexible and Customizable, but Performance and Update Consistency Slip Over Time"

3/5

What do you like best about Android?

Openness and flexibility are among Android’s most important strengths. Compared with other mobile operating systems, it gives me more freedom and control over my device. I can install apps from various sources and customize the home screen, widgets, and settings in many different ways. I also appreciate having a separate Back button (gesture). Another feature I’ve found especially helpful is clipboard history, which lets me access text I copied earlier; this was something I missed on my iOS smartphone. On top of that, Android offers a wide choice of devices, so you can pick from a large number of available options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Android?

In my experience, Android phones tend to become less performant over time. After using this phone for several months, I’ve started noticing lag, occasional freezing, and slower app loading, even though it worked perfectly fine at the beginning. Software update availability also depends on the manufacturer, so not all devices receive updates at the same time. Another drawback is that many apps and accessories seem to be tailored for iPhone first. Certain features are integrated into iOS earlier, and many accessories are designed primarily for the Apple ecosystem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Android solving and how is that benefiting you?

Android offers a great deal of flexibility as a mobile platform, letting me use the phone according to my own preferences rather than being limited by the operating system itself. I can install virtually any application, adjust almost every aspect of the interface, and take advantage of extra features like clipboard history, stronger file management, and multitasking, all of which are very helpful for improving productivity. The wide range of Android devices also gives consumers the luxury of choosing a phone that fits their needs and budget.

That said, I ultimately switched to an iPhone because it feels smoother over the long term. Still, I would recommend Android to anyone who values customization and overall flexibility in an operating system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible Phone Choices, Powerful Multitasking, and Seamless Google Integration"

4/5

What do you like best about Android?

First, I love the variety in choosing my phone with different styles and prices that range from budget friendly to splurge. I'm not locked into one style. I love the ability to multitask while using my phone, such as the split screen and floating windows. It integrates with Google seamlessly, such Google Workspace, Google Maps, Google Wallet, Google Photos, and so much more. The capability to customize my phone is an added benefit, and the possibilities are plentiful! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Android?

After a while, you'll notice lag in the performance. I don't necessarily care for the preinstalled apps, and some of them can't be removed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Android solving and how is that benefiting you?

I can pick a phone that fits my budget and lifestyle. It helps me stay organized. I can multitask without limitations by using either split screen, picture in picture, email, search the web, and message at the same time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple and Flexible, and Highly Customizable Android Experience for Daily Use"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Android?

I’ve been using Android for many years, and what I appreciate most is how easy and flexible it is. It gives me the freedom to customize my phone exactly the way I want, whether that’s through apps, widgets, or different settings. I also like that Android is available on a wide range of devices, which gives me multiple choices and options based on my needs and budget. The interface feels user-friendly and very customizable, which means I’m rarely stuck with only one way of doing things. Overall, Android feels comfortable and reliable for everyday use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Android?

One thing I don't like about Android is that updates are not always consistent for all devices. Sometimes it takes time to get the latest version updates, depending on the phone brand. I have also noticed that the performance can vary between devices. Some phones may feel slow in 2026, but they are faster in 2024. In addition, there can be some pre-installed apps that are not very useful and cannot be removed easily, so you can only disable them. However, despite these minor issues, the overall experience with Android is good and reliable to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Android solving and how is that benefiting you?

Android helps me manage my daily activities more efficiently by bringing everything into one place. I use it regularly for communication like calls, messages, and social apps, as well as for browsing and accessing important information. It also solves the problem of having multiple devices and tools, everything in one place, and in an organized way. Easy to use, easy to install, and use different apps based on my needs. In my day-to-day routine, it helps me to stay organized in every manner. It saves a lot of time and makes both personal and professional tasks easier to manage. Overall, it improves my productivity and gives a smooth and comfortable experience in daily use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Android’s Simple, PC-Like File Management Makes Everything Easy"

5/5

What do you like best about Android?

Android handles files like a computer. If I download a PDF, I know exactly where it is. I can plug my phone into a PC, drag and drop photos or music, and I’m done. There’s no "gatekeeper" software making the process harder than it needs to be Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Android?

Sometimes it feels like Google and Samsung (and others) are in a cold war. You end up with two of everything: two photo galleries, two voice assistants, and two ways to sync your contacts. For a user, it can be confusing to figure out which ecosystem you're supposed to be "all in" on Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Android solving and how is that benefiting you?

Google integrates its AI (like Live Translate and TalkBack) directly into the core of Android.

The Benefit: For someone learning a new language (like isiZulu) or someone with visual impairments, Android can translate text in real-time within any app or read the screen aloud with high precision. It solves the problem of "isolation" by making the digital world readable and reachable for everyone Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Android’s Flexibility and Customization Make It Stand Out"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Android?

What I like best about Android is its flexibility and customization options. It allows users to personalize their experience with a wide range of settings, apps, and device choices. I also appreciate the open ecosystem, which gives more freedom compared to other platforms, as well as the wide compatibility across different devices and price ranges. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Android?

One thing I dislike about Android is the inconsistency across devices, as the experience can vary depending on the manufacturer and model. Software updates are not always timely, and some devices may stop receiving support sooner than expected. Additionally, pre-installed apps and occasional performance issues on lower-end devices can affect the overall user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Android solving and how is that benefiting you?

Android solves the need for a flexible and accessible mobile operating system that works across a wide range of devices and price points. It allows users to choose devices that fit their budget while still having access to powerful features and a large app ecosystem. This benefits me by giving more freedom to customize my device, access a variety of apps, and use a system that adapts to different needs and preferences. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When will the 5G Version in Android be released? I know OPPO has already launched it but I need to see more companies & more variations of 5G which will create a competitive market.
