## About Qualified.io
Qualified is a performance based platform that allows organizations to use coding assessments and pair programming interviews to vet technical talent. Unlike other platforms, we use actual unit tests and a wide range of language specific testing frameworks that better predict actual on the job performance. Any assessment can easily be turned into a pair-programming session and all assessments can be timed and recorded in order to give hiring managers a deeper level of insight into each candidates thought process and problem solving ability. Qualified is built to be integrated into other platforms and inside any evaluation process. API, Webhooks, platform embedding, education, certification, recruitment... you name it, we can support it.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zabdiel D. | Java Full Stack Instructor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Qualified.io?**

There are platforms that provide experiences that result in assesment applications harder than they genuinely are or should be.
This is not the case with Qualified.io
I appreciated the ease of interaction from the UI, clear walkthrough of every feature available and customization available even for applicants.

**What do you dislike about Qualified.io?**

I do believe some users could benefit from different High Contrast settings and/or fonts.

**What problems is Qualified.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I focused on the assesment, not the platform and that is the way it should work.

What I like the most is the way that the challenge is written as could close to a real life scenario

I took the interview test and it was a pleasant experience for me.

  ### 11. Great interview interface

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kai Lin C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Qualified.io?**

I really enjoyed doing the three tests my prospective employer provided to Qualified.io. The platform is extremely clean, intuitive, and easy to use. The automated system also sent emails to remind me of the test, and it seemed like the customer support team was very engaged and willing to help with any user issues that might arise.

Overall, I thought this was a really great testing platform, and a much better evaluation of how a prospective employee would perform in a real work scenario. The integrated IDE worked well, including debugging tools. The instructions were clear. It was easy to navigate from instructions to output and code panels. The timing was clear on the top of the page. Feedback was given immediately to users to let them know whether their submission was ready to be scored.

It's clear the team also cares a lot about iteratively improving their product, and collected feedback in a thoughtful way.

I look forward to using this form of evaluation again in the future.

**What do you dislike about Qualified.io?**

The display was a little bit wonky on my browser (Chrome, MacOS Monterey 12.4). The borders of the application were cut off, and I needed to side-scroll a little in order to see the edges of the view. The content inside of certain panels, like the Instruction panel, also overflowed and required some side-scrolling. It seems like it would have been good to integrate autoflow here for better viewing experience.

One thing I would have appreciated was a small test run before the actual exam, with a Intro.js - style guide for the interface. I like how certain platforms like Codio give you a few test toy problems to practice with before going into the actual exam for your prospective employer. This would have helped me in my first exam question, where I stumbled a little with trying to figure out how to run my code. While the team included helpful documentation for using the IDE, it was a little stressful trying to browse these docs during my actual exam. Prior to the exam, I did take a look at the docs, but not seeing the platform in front of me, I was not able to fully anticipate the kinds of issues I might face using the platform. It would have just been great to be able to have a short test run with a visual/interactive guide/use case.

Overall, I really liked Qualified.io and appreciate the team for their well-documented and thorough/thoughtful product.

**What problems is Qualified.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Qualified gives employers a chance to test how a prospective software engineer would navigate actual challenges in the workplace, by simulating coding challenges that are closer to the workflow of contributing code to a real code base. It provides a great alternative (or complement) to Leetcode-style white boarding tests that provide insight to an applicant's ability to solve classic DS&A problems, but not to working with a more complicated code base with multiple files and dev tooling.

  ### 12. Tests which emulates real world work

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sumanth S. | Founding Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Qualified.io?**

The idea of testing things which an Engineer does in his day to day compared to other tests.

**What do you dislike about Qualified.io?**

Nothing as such. Since it contains a coding question as well it covers a little about the data structures and algorithms aspect of it also. But may be a separate section for DataStructures and Algorithms as such could be beneficial as they form a fundamental aspect of an Engineer's work as well.

**What problems is Qualified.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem with tests solely on Data Structures and Algorithms has a problem that you have to get prepared solely for that regularly which is not really always used during your day to day work.
So Qualified.io 's testing actually covers what a Software Engineer does in his day and no extra preparation is required as such which helps a lot.

The Qualified.io platform would be better if there were support for the debbuger keyword or the ability to set breakpoints in the code. I also would add a zoom in and out control in order to be able to easily make the code font size bigger or smaller.

**What problems is Qualified.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am not the fastest developer, but I get the job done properly and on schedule, unless I'm blindfolded and left in the jungle, as most assessment platform do out there. Qualified.io allowed me to get all my failing tests green :-) and deliver my challenge and make my day.

The step by step approach is very well built.

At one point while working on the coding task my editor froze. It wont write anything and I had to refresh the browser to make it work again. Thankfully I could save my progress by downloading it locally otherwise my progress would have been lost.

**What problems is Qualified.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping both the developers and the companies hiring to shortlist good candidates before they go for the interview stage. Making sure the right kind of talent is shortlisted and moves ahead without wasting valuable time and resources on either side.

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Qualified.io?**

UI and the features are very user-friendly, and the code-compiling environment is perfect. There is an option to hide the timer as well, which seemed unique to me

**What do you dislike about Qualified.io?**

Nothing specific. I have liked all the features in Qualified

**What problems is Qualified.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It made test screening very easy and very easy to compile, run and submit the code as they provide user manual if you have any questions about using the compiler

  ### 37. An incredible experience

The questions were up to date and reflected real everyday situations. The website is easy to navigate, the recruiters were accessible and the process happened quickly and clearly.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muhammad Jamshaid I. | Mid Level Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Qualified.io?**

I have used qualified for taking a test regarding a job. The questions were explained well and the test cases were very clearly explained. Overall the experience was good.

**What do you dislike about Qualified.io?**

The remaining time is not shown on the screen while taking the job test. It instead showed the counter going forward. This could be changed to show the remaining time and that would be best.

**What problems is Qualified.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helped me take a job technical test and went very well.

  ### 39. Great and friendly interface

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Everson Z. | Full Stack Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Qualified.io?**

The way you provide a nice and friendly interface for our technical assessment, works really good and smooth, it's, easy to adapt and allow us to keep saving our solution while we develop.

**What do you dislike about Qualified.io?**

There was nothing I didn't like about doing my technical assessment in Qualified.io, just an observation, I'm not sure if is possible but I needed to attend an emergency and couldn't stop the clock for some minutes.

**What problems is Qualified.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To Make technical assessments that help the employer to understand better and see us in real time how we code, this way we really focus on the assessment instead of setting up our machines to be able to make the test.

  ### 40. Great experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ivan P. | Programmer/Analyst III - Full Stack Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Qualified.io?**

This experience was amazing, because it's not about solution but rather to see what is your way of thinking. This is different compared to other experiences where you are asked theoretical questions you don't ever answer on a daily basis

**What do you dislike about Qualified.io?**

Nothing in particular my experience was very positive and I didn't encounter any issues

**What problems is Qualified.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shows how candidates are thinking rather than details and syntaxes that c could be different fromday to day from job to job

  ### 41. Best platform for evaluate hard skills

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Guilherme B. | Senior Software Engineer, Insurance, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Qualified.io?**

It is simple and intuitive, and the challenges are good enough to test our knowledge within the selected language and also to track the remaining time to solve the solution

**What do you dislike about Qualified.io?**

The screen is split with a lot of small windows, it would be nice to have the option to minimize the windows that we are not using/focusing, for example, the test results and the test code could be minimized before we need it

**What problems is Qualified.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping me proceed to next step of a job process interview. It helps me test my skills and show to the interviewer how I solved it and how long it took to me answering the challenge

  ### 42. Coding assessment went well

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dmitry P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2023

This is a mature coding platform, a wide range of languages are available for making coding problems and solving them. Text editor has Vim mode. Do not look too gameified as other platforms

**What do you dislike about Qualified.io?**

No remarks about this coding platform website.

**What problems is Qualified.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides me a way to express myself in front of tech recruiters

  ### 43. It's a real-world assessment experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Henrique F. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Qualified.io?**

The assessment I did was very detailed and explores real-life cases of a software engineer. Not only code, but some soft skills too.

**What do you dislike about Qualified.io?**

There were 4 stages in my evaluation, with a defined time for each one. But the first 2 steps were merged into one. In this case I couldn't have a break between the two and it wasn't described before.

**What problems is Qualified.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think this product can save time and technical interview steps with live coding.

  ### 44. Great backend developer coding assessment

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex B. | Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Qualified.io?**

The assessment on the platform was pretty good. The platform provides a testing assignment for getting acquainted with the visual interface, which is really helpful before beginning the actual simulation. The steps of the assessment are very clearly described, and I considered the received tasks as well as the allowed time for each task to be appropriate. Having a brief but not too detailed description of what task I was going to receive definitely helped me understand what to expect during the assessment, and I liked the fast email responses from the team.

The possibility of having 24 hours to complete all tasks (although each individual task is time-limited separately) helps take away from the stress, since you can take breaks between tasks. The ability to write notes to your reviewers is a big plus.

**What do you dislike about Qualified.io?**

Honestly, I only disliked a minor bug with the interface where you can input text. There were some instances where it froze and you could no longer write text, which was fixed by switching to the markdown preview and back to the text editor. It didn't really bother me that much though, but I believe fixing it would improve the user experience.

**What problems is Qualified.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I believe it helped simplify the screening process, and I really appreciate the possibility of receiving detailed feedback for my submissions.

  ### 45. great questions

It's so user-friendly and customizable, which makes it a great tool for companies of all sizes. Additionally, the assessment results are incredibly accurate and provide valuable insights into a candidate's skills and knowledge. ### 46. Functional enough

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Qualified.io?**

Form has a simple layout with clear, answerable questions

**What do you dislike about Qualified.io?**

Inability to fill out the survey form without a Google acct, a basic email signin would be more comfortable than sharing accounts which I have no desire to

**What problems is Qualified.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Qualified.io, specifically Woven, was the first time a technical assessment from a browser app felt like an actual on-the-job challenge and not a cheap question which has no purpose in the workplace itself. The feedback with areas of improvement at the end was nice too, though I wish all the test cases were visible during the actual screening.

  ### 47. Great platform to host software engineering assessments. Wide variety of languages and tools.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What problems is Qualified.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Qualified.io provides an easy way to host technical assessments, which helps with the hiring process. I work as part of a team where we assess job candidates for other companies (our clients).

It was very smooth experience with the platform. Differently from other platforms, it offers you the possibility to check and add test cases easily. I like the clean visual and UX.

Nothing to dislike, only a suggestion. As a front end developer, I would say it could also focus on challenges with React, by having an integrated we browser, css and html.

It helped me on having my technical skills accessed by a company in a way that I can apply my whole potential to the best of my knowledge, not wasting precious time.
