Discover why institutions are improving operational efficiency and creating better processes for managing data/knowledge across its institution while saving both time and money through automation. As the ecosystem of software and services within the organization grows, it is common to implement new systems to prevent the complexity and size of that ecosystem from slowing down your day-to-day work. Integration Platforms are used in order to manage each integration we have from a single place. This often requires large amounts of manual work to ‘connect up’ each application you are using to your iPaaS provider, normally using APIs to facilitate the exchange of data. The benefits of iPaaS are that you can see all your integrations in one dashboard-style view and manage the activity on those integrations from that single place too. Integration projects come from the need to connect one existing platform to another, for example, Salesforce CRM to Ellucian Colleague or Slate TechnoSolutions to Jenzabar. However, many businesses then see the advantage of adding more applications and services to their network of integrated applications, so that they may extend the benefits of software integrations to a wide range of people and departments around the institution. One of the main setbacks businesses experience with iPaaS, is the length and cost of the implementations. iPaaS providers typically place a large amount of heavy lifting on the end-users and mirror the working practices of old-fashioned integration methodologies. AMSA has continue to provide cost-effective solutions to some of our most challenging business processes. They have gone above and beyond to exceed our expectations. What do you dislike about AMSA Connect? Because we are attempting to solve complex integration problems, we sometimes have to wait on a solution. However, AMSA has worked hard to deliver solutions in a great timeframe. Its hard to expect an out of the box solution that didn't previously exist until you asked for it. Our ERP is UniData based and doesn't have a lot of out of the box API integrations that are easily available. However, the other products we use are much more advanced in terms of API readiness. AMSA has not only been able to make these API connections to ensure data flow across systems, but they have even developed opportunities to move from scheduled data transfer to event-based real time data transfer via the integration. We have several systems across our organization that we never dreamed would be able to be effectively integrated, via API... not feed files, and AMSA continues to make our desire to have fully integrated systems a reality.
