"Great at Capturing Data, but Hard to Analyze"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?

It was easy to set up in my codebase. The session replays are useful for understanding user behavior, and they’re also easy to share across teams. Large selection of integrations that are easy to set up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?

Sometimes even quick questions—like when a user last completed a particular event—end up requiring you to build a chart to find the answer. That makes it harder for people who are less experienced with the platform to self-serve and get simple information quickly. On top of that, the number of add-ons can be confusing, and it isn’t always clear what we actually have access to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Empowered Data Analysis with AI & Extensions"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?

I really like the new AI assistant in Amplitude Analytics because it makes it much easier and quicker to build charts and funnels. The browser extension is amazing too. I love how easy it is to identify event names and triggers, allowing me to build charts based on them. It makes deep diving into data super quick, which I appreciate as a non-data person. The AI assistant is particularly effective because it takes a lot of the 'thinking' and architecture out of my hands, letting me focus on analyzing the results instead of just building charts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?

Maybe this exists already, and I don't know if, but I would love a functionality where I click through a user flow on our website or inside the platform, and then Amplitude records that and automatically creates a chart for this funnel. It would also be helpful for me to have a curated library - e.g., an admin can set some standard/default charts that anyone in marketing should have access to, and we all take that as a source of truth. Currently, we build many different charts as everyone is working in silos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Analytics Tool"
5/5
What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?

What I like most about Amplitude is how easy it is to understand user behavior without needing a lot of heavy technical work. The interface feels intuitive, the event analysis is powerful, and the segmentation options are very flexible. Overall, it helps teams move faster from data to action and make decisions with more confidence. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?

Some advanced configurations can get complicated pretty quickly, especially when it comes to event governance and managing taxonomy at scale. The learning curve can also be steep for non-technical users, and pricing tends to rise fast as usage increases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clean, Intuitive Dashboards That Make Analytics Easy for Everyone"
5/5
What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?

I’ve been using Amplitude and really like how clean and intuitive the dashboard feels. The UI/UX is well designed, and it’s easy to filter users, build funnels, create cohorts, and work with charts without much effort.

What stands out is how simple it is for non-tech teams to use. You don’t need deep technical knowledge to get value from it, and the third-party integrations make it easy to fit into your workflow.

Overall, it’s a powerful and user-friendly analytics tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?

Issue is pricing. As your data grows, costs can increase quite fast, which makes it less friendly for startups or teams trying to stay lean.

Overall, it’s great for ease of use, but can feel restrictive and expensive as you scale. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Highly Customizable Dashboards and Handy Scheduled Data Emails"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?

I like that I am able to create dashboards and modify the dashboards to the specificity that I am looking for. I also like the fact that I can scheduled recurring emails with the downloaded data that I need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?

We have a lot of data points, so I wish it was easier to search for what I need. The AI agent could also be more helpful. I wish that I can describe what dashboard and data set I need to the AI agent and then they can set up a framework or a draft. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly Dashboards and Insightful Daily Metric Digests"
5/5
What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?

Amplitude is very user-friendly, and it’s easy to set up new dashboards. I also find it really helpful that I can get a daily digest of the most important product metrics I’m tracking, such as feature retention, adoption, activation, and more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?

The initial tracking setup wasn’t very straightforward, especially when it came to the logic and structure we used for naming our events and any additional parameters. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Amplitude Supercharges Insights with MCP Integration, AI Agent, and Standout Guides & Surveys"
5/5
What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?

First, the MCP integration has been a genuine productivity multiplier. Being able to query Amplitude data directly within my existing workflow, without switching context, has dramatically shortened the path from question to insight. Tasks that used to require multiple steps across tools now happen in a single flow.

Second, the integrated AI agent makes the platform accessible at every level. Instead of manually building charts for every business question, I can ask naturally and get to answers faster. This has been especially valuable for ad hoc analysis and exploratory questions.

Third, Guides and Surveys is a standout feature. The ability to trigger in-app nudges, onboarding flows, and feedback prompts based on behavioral data closes the loop between analytics and action. It lets you engage users at exactly the right moment, with minimal engineering overhead.

Together, these three capabilities make Amplitude feel less like a BI tool and more like an integrated part of how the product team operates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?

Event management and schema changes can be challenging at scale. When event names evolve or need restructuring, it tends to have a knock-on effect across charts, dashboards, and cohorts. A more guided migration experience would go a long way in reducing the maintenance burden that comes with a maturing data taxonomy.

Some of the more advanced features have a learning curve. Tools like Pathfinder or custom formula metrics are genuinely powerful, but they reward users who invest time in understanding the platform deeply. Better in-product guidance or contextual tooltips could help teams get more value from these features sooner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Super complete analytics software"
5/5
What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?

It allows me to keep track of different KPIs by myself.

I am a product designer and I am able to generate dashboards by myself in a very easy way.

Its Claude integration helps me track faster and leverage the data in a more intelligent way Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?

I think it's more related to the data structure built by the data team at my company, but sometimes it gets really hard to find exactly the event I am looking for Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clear, Real-Time User Insights with Intuitive Dashboards"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?

What I like most about Amplitude Analytics is how it delivers clear, real-time insights into user behavior, supported by intuitive dashboards and straightforward event tracking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?

One challenge with Amplitude Analytics is that the platform can feel overwhelming at first due to the sheer number of features and configuration options. Some advanced reports and event setups come with a learning curve, especially for new users. Additionally, dashboard performance can occasionally slow down when working with large datasets, and certain customizations can make the experience feel less responsive. "Data-Driven Product Decisions with Clear Adoption and Workflow Insights"
5/5
What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?

I'd particularly value:

Measuring adoption of newly released capabilities.

Understanding where users abandon critical workflows.

Defining meaningful product KPIs instead of relying on vanity metrics.

Identifying which features are rarely used and candidates for simplification or retirement.

Giving product managers and engineers access to the same data so discussions are based on evidence rather than intuition. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?

Its main drawbacks are the need for disciplined event instrumentation and governance, a moderate learning curve for advanced features, increasing costs at scale, and the fact that it complements rather than replaces observability or business intelligence tools. For larger organizations, success depends as much on good analytics practices as on the platform itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
