## Amplitude Analytics Reviews
 ### 1. Empowers Teams with Real-Time Insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Haider A. | Growth Associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I appreciate Amplitude Analytics' easy-to-use UI, which allows non-technical teams like design and product to access data without relying on us. The segment and funnel charts are a lifesaver for monitoring and analysis, and I find the ability to download data from a chart very helpful. I value the real-time connectivity and data flow because it's easy to integrate and ensures that events are tracked in real time, which helps reduce the turnaround time for anomaly detection. The initial setup was very easy, and we didn't face much trouble setting it up.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

In the free version, on a dashboard, we cannot change the time range for all visuals at once. We have to adjust each one manually inside each chart one by one. If we have many charts on a dashboard, it can take some time to load.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Analytics for real-time insights, conversion metrics, and user behavior tracking. It helps non-technical teams access data easily. Real-time data flow aids anomaly detection, and segments and funnel charts simplify monitoring and analysis.

I like that Amplitude Analytics is pretty intuitive and easy to use. I also appreciate how it has AI integrated, which is super useful for me. I can prompt it directly from Slack to create reports and dashboards. Whenever I notice something unusual in my digital funnel, I can directly ask questions about it and investigate where the changes are coming from.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

I currently have no dislikes

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics helps me identify bottlenecks in my digital funnels, making it easy to ask questions and draft reports directly with AI and Slack integration.

 ### 4. Intuitive, Powerful Analytics That Drive Product Decisions

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I use Amplitude Analytics on a daily basis and what impresses me most is how effectively it links user behavior to real product decisions. First, the platform is both intuitive and powerful, allowing me to track user actions and analyze behavior easily, all without needing to write any code. I find its capabilities for funnels, retention, and path analysis particularly strong—these are areas I often struggle to analyze in other tools like Looker. We also make extensive use of the cohorts feature, which is great because Amplitude lets us build dynamic cohorts based on actual user behavior. I can then apply these cohorts across analyses, experiments, and activations. The user experience is very friendly, and I find it straightforward to learn how to use the various features without spending a lot of time on documentation. Still, it's helpful that the documentation is thorough and clear, so whenever I can't figure something out intuitively, I can easily find the answers I need. Setting up experimentation is also simple in Amplitude; we use it for all our AB tests, and implementation doesn't require deep technical expertise.
In terms of customer support it works quite well. At least with the enterprise plan there's customer support available and they are usually quick to answer questions and solve issues.
Integration with other tools is possible and easy to configure.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

While I find this tool powerful and intuitive as a data analyst, I think it may not be as straightforward for product managers or others whose roles are less focused on analytics. Some of the more advanced features, like funnels, cohorts, and formulas, can initially feel overwhelming. It's crucial to have a well-thought-out event planning process. I've noticed that if the event taxonomy isn't carefully designed from the beginning, analyses can quickly become confusing or even misleading, and making corrections later is quite challenging. The same goes for naming conventions—managing a large number of events can get complicated without consistency. Although this hasn't been an issue for us yet, I've heard that costs can rise rapidly as event volume and user numbers increase, which could be a concern for startups or teams dealing with a lot of noisy events. While the tool allows to accomplish a lot without SQL, performing truly custom or edge-case analyses can feel limited compared to using a data warehouse with a BI tool. Additionally, working with large datasets or complex charts can sometimes result in slow load times.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics enables me to truly understand how users interact with our product. Instead of relying on guesswork, I now have access to clear, event-based insights that reveal exactly what users are doing throughout our platform. This clarity helps our teams pinpoint the factors that drive activation, engagement, and retention, moving us away from assumptions and toward data-driven decisions.

By examining funnels, user paths, and retention metrics, Amplitude makes it straightforward to identify where users are dropping off and which behaviors are linked to long-term success. For example, after launching a new acquisition funnel, we used Amplitude daily to track its performance and to analyze where and why users were most likely to leave the process.

Another advantage is that everyone in the company can access the tool and independently gather insights, without needing to know SQL or rely heavily on the data team. This self-serve capability empowers all team members to make informed decisions.

Amplitude has also simplified the implementation and management of A/B tests and experiments. Previously, it was challenging to run and centralize multiple tests, especially given our limited traffic. Now, with features like mutually exclusive groups and holdout groups, Amplitude offers promising solutions to these limitations, although we have not yet fully tested these capabilities.

Overall, Amplitude benefits me by delivering faster answers to product questions, eliminating the need to wait for custom reports. It fosters clear alignment across product, growth, and engineering teams by providing a shared, reliable source of product and digital data. This enables us to make decisions based on measurable improvements in activation, retention, and feature adoption.

 ### 5. Accurate visibility for data-driven product decisions

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tony Jose G. | Process & Service Specialists, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

What I like best about Amplitude Analytics is how clearly it helps me understand real user behavior and consumption inside our platform. Even as a beginner, I can easily identify how users move through key flows, how many credits and packages they consume, and how these patterns change over time. The visualizations and event-based structure make it straightforward to detect trends, compare periods, and validate hypotheses without requiring advanced technical skills. It gives us a level of visibility that would be very difficult to achieve through manual reports.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

What I dislike about Amplitude Analytics is that historical data is limited to the last two years, which restricts long-term analysis. For everything else, the platform works very well and provides the visibility we need, but the data retention limitation can be a challenge when comparing older periods or evaluating long-term trends.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics helps us understand how our users actually behave inside the platform and how they consume credits and packages. It allows us to identify usage peaks, drops, and changes in monthly behavior, as well as detect issues related to external source failures or unavailability through event tracking. This visibility makes it easier to validate hypotheses, anticipate problems, and make informed product decisions. Overall, Amplitude gives us the clarity we need to improve user experience, optimize platform performance, and prioritize initiatives based on real data.

 ### 6. Intuitive Insight with Compass Charts, Needs More Total Count Options

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arya B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I use Amplitude Analytics for different analytical projects and appreciate its ability to gain insights into how users engage with our product. The Compass charts are an extremely unique tool that helps me visualize retention and understand how engagement with different parts of the product can impact user retention. The intuitive UI makes it easy to curate dashboards and views, which I can share with non-technical partners who can easily interpret and iterate on them. The integration with different AI agents works smoothly, and the initial setup was straightforward. I also believe that Amplitude offers more robust capabilities compared to what we used before.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

I wish more of the funnel chart options could count by totals, and not just unique users. I'd like to see totals conversion over time and general TTC.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Analytics for user engagement insights, tracking navigation, and discovering product areas of user value. Its intuitive UI allows easy dashboard sharing with non-tech partners. Compass charts help visualize retention impacts from features, making retention insights straightforward.

 ### 7. Solid Product Analytics Software with Extensive Knowledge Base Despite Some Feature Gaps

**Reviewed by:** Aliya D. | Product Owner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

Flexibility: I have been able to create events and dashboards to cover the majority of my product analytics needs. Interface: quite intuitive. Knowledge base: Advanced analytics requires some research but the knowledge base is quite extensive.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Amplitude's session replays stopped working for some of my apps, and the investigation of the root cause is still ongoing. Amplitude support provided some generic recommendations but it looks like they haven't been very helpful so far.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude is the main product analytics software I use as a Product Owner. It has provided me with some critical information about the product usage and the customer behavior over the last few years. In particular, it helped prioritize some feature development for the rewrite project and feature enhancements, as well as understand who our customers are and what their workflow in the product looks like. My overall experience has been quite positive even though I have not been able to take advantage of some Amplitude features (session replays) due to them not working properly with some of my products.

 ### 8. Ampltiude Enables Our Product to Fulfill Its Core Purpose for Customers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tamil S. | Data Analytical Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

What I like best about Amplitude Analytics is its perfect combination of ease of use, speed, and flexibility. The platform is very easy to implement and integrates smoothly with our existing data stack, which made adoption seamless across teams. Its intuitive interface allows us to build reports and dashboards in minutes without the need for complex data cleanup or formulas, so we can spend all our time on meaningful analysis. I also appreciate the wide range of customization options for charts and visualizations, which helps us define metrics the way we need them. Collaboration is another highlight, as dashboards and insights can be easily shared across the organization, keeping everyone aligned on the same source of truth. The platform’s ability to query massive datasets in seconds makes it possible to track performance and take quick action when needed. On top of that, the customer support team has been responsive and helpful whenever we’ve had questions. We use Amplitude frequently, almost daily and it has become an essential tool for making data-driven product decisions and ensuring our product continues to serve customer needs effectively.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

One challenge with Amplitude Analytics is the limitation on creating visualizations for only up to one year at a time. For teams that want to analyze multi-year trends or historical performance at a glance, this can be restrictive. Extending the time range for visualizations would make the platform even more powerful for long-term analysis.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics is helping us solve the critical challenge of understanding how users interact with our mobile app at every stage of their journey. By tracking in-app events and behaviors, we can identify where users drop off, which features drive engagement, and what actions lead to long-term retention. This visibility allows us to quickly uncover friction points and optimize the app experience.

The biggest benefit is the speed to insights—we no longer spend time cleaning data or writing complex queries just to answer basic questions. Instead, we can instantly analyze funnels, cohorts, and retention patterns to guide product decisions. The ability to segment users and run behavioral analysis helps us design targeted improvements and measure their impact in real time.

Ultimately, Amplitude empowers us to make data-driven decisions faster, improve customer satisfaction, and continuously align our app with user needs, which has a direct impact on engagement and retention.

 ### 9. Bad experience

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

The intuitive interface makes it easy to build funnels and retention charts without SQL knowledge. I especially like how quickly I can segment users and track their behavior across different touchpoints. The self-serve nature saves our team a lot of time."

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

The learning curve for advanced features is steeper than expected — some of our team members struggle with building complex cohorts. Also, pricing can escalate quickly as we scale, and the visualization options feel limited compared to dedicated BI tools.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude helps us understand how users actually interact with our product rather than guessing. We've used it to identify drop-off points in our onboarding funnel, which led to a 15% improvement in activation. It also reduced our dependency on the data team — product managers can now pull their own insights, speeding up decision-making significantly.

 ### 10. Intuitive Analytics with Impressive Flexibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

We use Amplitude Analytics to track website and product performance, which helps in prioritizing initiatives. It offers easy metric creation, facilitating goal tracking and decision-making. It's user-friendly, flexible for experts, and provides comprehensive documentation, making it valuable to both novice and experienced users.

 ### 11. Intuitive Platform with Deep Insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Séraphin H. | Advisor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I really like that Amplitude Analytics is fairly easy to use, which makes it simple to teach and get others started on it. The layout is intuitive, with events on the left and results on the right, and this constancy over the years has been helpful. I appreciate how easy it is to go deep and do a deep dive into features and user behavior. Plus, it's quite user-friendly overall and didn't take much to set up; just track events and users, and you're ready to go. Many features just work, which is why I give it a ten out of ten.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

I would say there's a lot of features that go unused. Because it's a lot of adoption or I need to update our implementation. For example, session replay and heat maps aren't used because we're using another tool, and it would be great to combine tools, but that's something I need to put effort into. Another thing is the guides and surveys feature, which seems amazing, but the pricing is way too high.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics solves the problem of understanding user behavior in my product and helps me dive deep into feature usage. It's easy to use yet powerful, allowing our entire company to adopt it quickly.

 ### 12. Empowers Teams with Intuitive Analytics

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I love Amplitude Analytics for its thoughtful layout and intuitive interface, which lets me spend less time figuring out how the tool works and more time using the insights to take action. The powerful toolset is beneficial, and I appreciate the ability to share insights easily with colleagues. I also like how Amplitude allows me to be more independent when accessing websites and product analytics, without needing help from our engineering team. It helps me gain insights and a better understanding of our customers' behaviors, allowing me to make more informed decisions. Our team having access to Amplitude provides greater independence when accessing data, not having to depend on the Business Insights or data science team.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Some features aren't as powerful or configurable as other tools, like Looker or Google Analytics. It can be overwhelming with the abundance of granular data, making it difficult to get a clear picture of customers' entire user journey.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics helps me gain insights into customer behaviors, making informed decisions. It provides independence in accessing analytics, reducing reliance on the engineering team. The intuitive interface allows me to focus on using insights effectively.

 ### 13. Responsive Interface, Easy Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arak C. | Python Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I like the interface a lot—it’s clean, very responsive, and works fast. The JS SDK is also straightforward to implement and use, which makes integration easy. They offer solid reporting capabilities with templates, so it’s simple to set things up and track what I need. Funnel tracking is well done too, and you can add custom events there that match specific criteria.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Before the JS SDK was not that great out of the box so you have to implement web page visit tracking yourself, but looking now at it, they fixed it already

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Analytics to track visitor actions and reliably collect events, including custom ones. Its event-based system makes it easy for me to search through the data and generate reports, so I can access specific user profiles, see the exact actions they performed, and track sales funnels.

 ### 14. User-Friendly Interface but Overwhelmed by Options

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah B.

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I like the user interface of Amplitude Analytics because it's aesthetically pleasing and easy to look at and read. I also love the dashboard feature, which makes it really easy to track graphs, notes, and charts all in one area, and it is shareable with others to edit. The UI is simple, aesthetically pleasing, and very cohesive and consistent throughout the app. I use the Events page the most, as it serves as my starting point for searching event keys and building on top of it.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

There are so many buttons and options, it's hard to figure out how to get what I want, where it is, if it even exists. I just don't understand sometimes when I want to solve a problem, how to use Amplitude Analytics to do it. I ask ChatGPT if Amplitude Analytics has a certain feature and I ask for a tutorial on how to use Amplitude Analytics to achieve said task.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Analytics to digest data in a readable format and track trends. The dashboard makes it easy to track and share information. The UI is user-friendly and visually pleasing, while the Events page is great for searching and building on event keys.

 ### 15. Great for Dashboard Creation, Needs Better Metric Switching

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anton N.

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I like Amplitude Analytics' pretty nice UI, which makes it easier to view user sessions and identify points of friction in UI interactions as well as drop-off points in funnels. I also appreciate the communication it facilitates between engineering and product teams through features like shared dashboards and events. It's easy for engineers to come in and see the events they've created reported in the data tab, and add documentation to help explain when they are triggered. Having one centralized place for things like events and properties is particularly helpful.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Probably switching between different modes in analytics. It is tough to find out how to take a particular metric and switch it between median, average, sum, etc. or find out what it is currently filtering by. That has been a main point of contention for both engineering and product. Having an obvious toggle or interactive button somewhere that tells you how the big number across the top of the page is currently being calculated. Maybe on hover or something. Not sure. But when it just says '1.01' you have to look in many places to see what that number actually means initially.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics lets me view user sessions, see UI friction points, and drop-off in funnels. It provides centralized dashboards and events that enhance communication between engineering and product.

 ### 16. Developer’s Dream with Seamless Setup and Robust Features

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gokay K.

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I like that Amplitude Analytics allows me to generate charts and visualize data easily with the 'Ask Amplitude' AI tool. Even though I'm in the engineering department and not familiar with marketing stuff, I can ask Amplitude AI to create a chart, group, and sort users based on fields. This makes marketing tools developer-friendly too. I enjoy Session Replay a lot; it's really useful for checking records and detecting bugs easily thanks to including browser console records. The initial setup of Amplitude Analytics was incredibly easy, with helpful documentation, allowing me to integrate it into our project in just 10 minutes. It's been one of the best developer experiences I've had.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Sometimes the AI doesn't quite get what I mean. I think it can be a bit improved. Also, for Session Replay, a built-in consent management tool might be helpful because in the EU, explicit consent is needed for such things. Currently, we limit the use of this feature internally and get consent separately, but if Amplitude had a built-in way to handle the consent management of Session Replays, it would be super helpful.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics combines multiple solutions, streamlining our process by tracking users, generating charts, and debugging with Session Replay instead of relying on various services.

 ### 17. Powerful event-based analytics for understanding in-app and mobile user behavior

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

What I like best: Amplitude Analytics is very strong for understanding user behavior through event-based tracking, funnels, and retention analysis. The insights are clear and actionable, and the visualizations make it easy to share findings across teams without heavy technical support.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

What I dislike: The platform has a steep learning curve, especially for new users, and requires careful event planning to be effective. Pricing can also become expensive as usage grows, and the interface can feel complex when using advanced features.
In addition, customer support can be slow or inconsistent at times, especially on lower-tier plans. Getting timely, in-depth help for complex issues can be challenging without premium support.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics helps track and analyze events in web and mobile apps, making it clear how users interact with specific features. This benefits me by showing which actions matter most, where users drop off, and how in-app behavior changes over time, so product decisions are based on real usage rather than assumptions.

 ### 18. Insightful Product Analysis with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Broadcast Media | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I find the funnel charts most useful as I aim to understand conversion a lot of the time and where drop-off is. The results of funnel charts are easy to interpret. I also find it useful to be able to break funnel charts down further by the different filters available to me.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

I don't really understand how to use the journeys chart. I feel like this would be useful for me as I could see how users are maneuvering around our product but the charts are often very noisy and don't really make sense.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics lets me explore how users access our platform and identify opportunity gaps. I use the funnel charts to understand conversion and drop-offs, which are easy to interpret and break down with different filters.

 ### 19. Empowers Designers with Autonomous Insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bia M.

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I use Amplitude Analytics frequently to create charts and dashboards for experiments, which helps me understand current user behavior and make design decisions with more confidence. I like the UI in general; it's comfortable to the eyes and easy to use. Tasks like creating, saving as favorites, organizing in folders, and sharing with my team are easy to do. The platform allows me to have more autonomy and move at my own pace since I don't need to rely on data analysts as much as before. Additionally, I enjoy the session replay feature.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Sometimes when creating a chart, after adding the events and properties, I try to see how it would look like in a funnel or journey format and I lose the information I added there (events and properties). I wish I could play around (as I am no expert in data tools) without losing the configuration.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Analytics to create charts and dashboards, understand user behavior, and make informed design decisions. It reduces my dependency on data analysts, giving me autonomy to access data quickly and work at my own pace.

 ### 20. Pleasant and Insightful Analytics!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

The most helpful things about Amplitude are honestly the simplicity and intuitive of the platform. I tend to use it everyday in my work as a Product Manager and found that its both great for getting quick insights/high level understandings of my features, but also allows me to very easily deep dive into any specific metric and look further into it. The way the dashboards change live in response to your edits and nothing feels clunky or awkward to use make it a breeze to go in and just try and figure things out, even if the dashboards dont work at first. I truly enjoy the tinkerability the platform shows and how much you can learn from just one session of creating dashboards and messing around!

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

The only downside I have to using Amplitude right now is that at times it can be difficult to figure why some charts may not be working or to understand what type of chart would be best for the visualization I am trying to build. This is also due to my limited statistics knowledge, but it would be very cool to see Amplitude build out some education features in their product to help educate users as they use the product, building their statistics knowledge alongside working with actual data.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude is the engine that powers our customer analytics in any experience we provide them. With the app, we are able to solve the problem of understanding our customer behavior at a deeper level and tracking across a customer experience what they are seeing, where they are going, and what in their experience might not be matching up to their (or our) expectations.

The benefit from Amplitude is massive! Being able to understand a whole customer journey in a non-bias way is massive for my product analytics, and it helps us with decision making on how we build our experiences.

 ### 31. Powerful, but with a steep learning curve

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Davi F. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

What stands out the most is its remarkable ability to answer complex questions about user behavior, something that few other tools manage to do as effectively. We are able to conduct deep and precise analyses of user journeys, and creating funnels and retention analyses is very straightforward. Additionally, despite the platform's depth and richness of features, its interface remains intuitive and user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

The conceptual learning curve is fairly steep, and the depth of insights you gain relies greatly on the specific events you implement and the properties you track. For teams used to working with a marketing metrics framework, adapting to a product analysis approach that centers on particular user actions can be challenging. Additionally, while there are some features related to marketing attribution, this tool is not best suited for that purpose. Its primary design is to help you understand user behavior within the product, rather than to optimize advertising spend or pinpoint which campaign achieved the highest ROI.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics addresses the fundamental challenge of understanding in-depth user behavior within a product, offering insights that go well beyond standard marketing metrics.

This has benefited us in several important ways. First, it gives us detailed visibility into user journeys. We are able to closely examine the paths users follow, set up funnels to pinpoint where they drop off, and generate retention charts that reveal patterns of long-term engagement.

Second, Amplitude enables us to answer complex 'why' questions. Rather than simply showing us what happened, it helps us uncover the reasons behind user actions by analyzing their specific behaviors and attributes.

Finally, it empowers our team by allowing product managers and designers to independently explore and answer their own questions. This reduces our reliance on data analysts and helps speed up the product development process.

 ### 32. Powerful Product Analytics Platform That Drives Data-Driven Decisions

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

It is in general easy to use especially the UI is very clean
Ease of integration with the backend is quite good and easy as well

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Features are kind of not straight forward, like I wanted to search old events (and see their content and fields), I still do not know where to find those, so to test I went to the live events page and then triggered the event everytime

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us tracking the user event from the frontend side, which includes user clicks to understand the user behaviour and interactions
From the Backend (my work) mostly we send segment events to track analytics like payments/subscriptions. For eg we released a new company cancel faeture and tracked how it performed via the graphs and dashboard we created on Amplitude and was it above our expected level else we might think about rolling back that feature.
In other words it also helps us track feature engagement and to know if the feeature is performing good or not.

Also, the initial setup of Amplitude Analytics seemed medium to hard, which could be challenging for new users.

 ### 45. Granular, clean analytics

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James M. | CSM, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I've found Amplitude to provide very granular product analytics that has enabled me to understand key metrics at a very deep level. Unlike traditional analytics software, the dashboards are super clean and easy to view regardless of the format. The interface for dashboards is designed in a way that ensures they are never 'cluttered'.

I use amplitude along with Tableau regularly, and am always much happier to be using Amplitude. It's just a lot more beautiful. Support is very proactive too, extending to wider community and account teams.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Search functionality is subpar, not being very adaptive to slightly broken natural language. The ability to be granular also makes implementation more difficult upfront. Expect an initial upfront cost that's steeper than the average analytics software to merit an above average experience.

It definitely feels like a software that was built by PMs for PMs and data analysts rather than non-technical end-users. But that is the trade-off again to having overall better analytics and the interface is still nice from an aesthetic standpoint, even though functionally, users are punished for any deviation from 100% accuracy when searching or interacting.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics has helped me to quickly surface very granular product usage insights through a user flow that is 10x quicker and better than me trying to cluelessly query the data warehouse or wrestle with the clunky monster that is Tableau and other business intelligence software. Data is presented clean in a way that makes people actually want to look at, understand, and autonomously surface insights instead of delegating to technical stakeholders to draw conclusions from.

 ### 46. Intuitive Analytics with Room for Performance Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Boukaddouss Z. | Senior Mobile Developer

**Reviewed Date:** December 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I like the intuitive user experience of Amplitude Analytics and how simple it is to build charts and track user activity. The AI aspect is also a great feature, making the process of building charts even easier. The intuitive user experience helps make building dashboards less overwhelming for the final user.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

The solution is lagging especially if there are too many events coming in real-time. The live events list becomes blank or takes time to load. The mobile (responsive) version is not optimized enough for mobile phones.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Analytics to track user activity, get an overview of behavior, and access meaningful statistics through charts and dashboards. The intuitive interface and AI features simplify building dashboards, making it less overwhelming for the final user.

 ### 47. Intuitive Insights with A Few Hiccups

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlos P.

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I like the ease of use and the self-service format of Amplitude Analytics, especially since it's accessible for non-technical audiences. Its advanced capabilities allow me to monitor and use AI agents to draw insights from data, providing a clean and user-friendly experience. I find anomaly detection and alerts very useful, as they help me set up my charts and get alerted when anomalies are detected, which is a great way to keep the pulse on my product's performance.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Load times can be slow at times, especially when longer time periods are involved.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics helps me track product performance, explore bugs, test new features, and get timely information in a self-service format.

 ### 48. Amplitude offers extensive capabilities without extra effort

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diana K. | Data Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

Simple implementation default events, low entry barrier to the tool, extensive capabilities for both basic and advanced analytics, user-friendly interface, plenty of available integrations, and clear documentation, the custom event feature in the interface is very useful.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Report building is limited in terms of available features, and sometimes a report with more advanced settings is required. There are only minor variations in how reports can be arranged on the dashboard. At times, certain functionality is missing and cannot be purchased separately, only by upgrading the plan.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

End-to-end analytics. Data from Customer, Intercom, CRM, and ad accounts are consolidated in Amplitude. It allows you to see the full user journey.
Understanding user conversion, showing potential growth points.
Evaluating the impact of website changes based on data.
Channel and advertising analytics for optimization.

 ### 49. Amplitude for FordPass — fast, intuitive customer-journey analytics

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** girthyka a. | data scientist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

Ease of Use & Dashboard: The UI is clean and makes exploring funnels, paths, and cohorts straightforward — non-technical PMs use it confidently.
Frequency of Use & Data Freshness: We rely on Amplitude daily for FordPass insights; data updates quickly which speeds decision cycles.
Implementation & Integration: Implementation for our mobile app was straightforward and the SDKs/integrations were easy to work with for our existing stack.
Feature Set: Amplitude offers the features we need (funnels, retention, cohorts, dashboards) so we can centralize most product analytics in one place.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Learning Curve & Advanced Use: Building complex behavioral queries and managing event taxonomy can require time and expertise.
Pricing & Event Volume: Costs scale with event volume, which can become a concern for large-scale telemetry.
Edge-case Integrations: Most integrations are smooth, but some bespoke or legacy systems required custom ETL and extra engineering time.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude gives us clear, event-level visibility into how users move through FordPass (funnels, paths, cohorts), reduces reliance on engineering for routine analysis, and shortens the feedback loop by delivering near-real-time data. It also centralizes product metrics so teams aren’t chasing multiple dashboards or ad-hoc SQL queries.

 ### 50. Powerful analytics with intuitive event tracking

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ravi Shankar S. | Full stack developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

Amplitude offers a clean, intuitive interface for tracking user behavior and analyzing product performance. The real-time dashboards make it easy to identify trends, segment users, and measure the impact of experiments. I particularly like the event segmentation and funnel analysis tools — they make deep insights accessible without needing SQL knowledge.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

The learning curve for advanced features can be steep, especially when setting up complex behavioral cohorts or custom formulas. While the documentation is helpful, more in-context guidance inside the product would reduce the initial setup time for new users. Additionally, some integrations require manual configuration steps that could be more seamless.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude helps us understand how users interact with our product in real time, which solves the challenge of making data-driven decisions without heavy engineering involvement. By tracking events, creating funnels, and analyzing retention patterns, we can quickly identify drop-off points, optimize onboarding flows, and measure the success of new features. This has led to faster iteration cycles, improved user engagement, and higher feature adoption rates, all backed by clear, visual data rather than guesswork.
