**What do you like best about Egencia by Amex GBT?**

I love how intuitive the design is even for my most basic user who has a lot of problems with newer technology. It's a very simple design. I've also found that Egencia hangs less than other competitor software. The reporting within is customizable and quick. 

It's also easy to set-up policy parameters to help steer users towards preferred providers and also compliance across the enterprise. I've only had to reach out to customer support a handful of times but they were always competent and efficient. 

I use Egencia daily both for booking travel and overseeing travel and every view is useful to me.

**What do you dislike about Egencia by Amex GBT?**

I wish there was better conversion tools from guest accounts to full user accounts. Right now you have to remake a guest instead of there being a way to change their category from guest to user. It's a little frustrating when converting those that came in for interviewing and received and accepted offers.

**What problems is Egencia by Amex GBT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping people away from third-party headaches and allowing me to internally track all travel for better oversight and efficientcy across the enterprise.

**What do you like best about Egencia by Amex GBT?**

I use Amex GBT Egencia for associate travels, including flights, hotels, and car rentals as needed. I like that it's a friendly "self-serve" platform, which means associates can book their travel independently after training and understanding the guidelines, like getting pre-approval before booking. There's also an option to speak with an agent if needed, which is nice.

**What do you dislike about Egencia by Amex GBT?**

Running data reports is always a challenge. Every month, we see 2-4 transactions that do not provide us with enough details. Our finance department requires specific information showing the traveler and what the charge was for. A lot of the time, the representative comes back saying that it was charged by a third party, either directly from the airline or hotel. However, the credit card statement only shows that Egencia was the vendor.

I use Amex GBT Egencia to monitor travel requirements on a single platform with specific guidelines, making it friendly and self-serve with agent support if needed.

Egencia by Amex GBT consistently delivers a seamless, reliable, and user‑friendly business travel experience. Their platform makes booking, managing, and adjusting travel incredibly efficient, and their customer support is responsive and knowledgeable. The combination of strong technology, clear reporting tools, and dependable service makes them an excellent partner for any company looking to streamline corporate travel.

Limited customization — Some policy settings and approval flows feel rigid, making it harder to tailor the platform to unique company needs.

Interface complexity — The layout can feel cluttered, and certain tasks (like modifying multi‑leg trips) take more clicks than they should.

Inconsistent support experiences — While support can be excellent at times, response quality and speed vary depending on the channel and issue.

Mobile app limitations — The app doesn’t always offer the same functionality as the desktop version, which can slow things down while traveling.

Egencia has been easy to use and has made booking and managing business travel much more efficient. I like having everything in one platform, and the reporting and customer support have been great.

The main drawback is that itinerary changes sometimes have to be handled through Egencia rather than directly with the airline or hotel, which can make last-minute changes a little less convenient.

**What do you like best about Egencia by Amex GBT?**

What I like most about Amex GBT Egencia is the balance between traveler experience and program control. The platform is intuitive for travelers, which helps drive adoption and compliance, while still providing the reporting, policy controls, and visibility needed to effectively manage a global travel program.

**What do you dislike about Egencia by Amex GBT?**

While Egencia works well for standard travel bookings and provides strong visibility and reporting, there are several opportunities to further enhance both the traveler and arranger experience.

One area I'd like to see improved is payment flexibility. For example, when a traveler wishes to personally pay for an upgrade from Economy to Premium Economy or Business Class, there isn't always a seamless way to split the payment between the company's approved payment method and the traveler's personal card. Providing this functionality would improve the traveler experience while maintaining policy compliance and spend visibility.

I'd also like to see improvements around guest traveler management and group bookings. Creating and maintaining guest profiles can be cumbersome, and it would be beneficial if arrangers could add notes or traveler preferences directly to a guest profile that are visible to both agents and arrangers. This would make it much easier to book on behalf of guests and ensure important information is retained for future trips.

For group travel, additional self-service functionality and visibility would help reduce manual intervention and improve efficiency for both travelers and administrators.

Finally, while the reporting capabilities are strong, I would welcome more advanced analytics around traveler behavior, leakage, supplier performance, and policy compliance, along with improved profile synchronization across systems.

Overall, the platform is effective, but enhancements in payment flexibility, guest profile management, group booking functionality, and reporting would significantly improve the experience for travelers, arrangers, and travel managers alike.

**What do you like best about Egencia by Amex GBT?**

I like how Amex GBT Egencia helps with all our corporate bookings and is easy to use. It's very fluid in its process and keeps me on track for the booking process. It's a time saver, helping me as a travel manager and also making it easy for travelers to book their travel in a timely, quick, and efficient manner. The initial setup was rather easy for me since I've had experience with Egencia previously, making it seamless—kind of like riding a bicycle. Overall, I think it's a very easy product that could be readily absorbed by any company, even on a large scale, like a multinational.

**What do you dislike about Egencia by Amex GBT?**

Sometimes on the repricing, it tells you that there's no fare. It should automatically give you the new fare. Recently, there's been issues where you try to book a fare and then it says something goes wrong. So there's nuances that every time they pop up, but eventually, they do get resolved in a timely manner.

Amex GBT Egencia helps with all our corporate bookings. It's easy to use, fluid in process, and keeps the booking process on track. It's a time-saver, making travel booking quick and efficient both for me as a travel manager and for my travelers.

I really like Amex GBT Egencia for its quick searching and booking capabilities, which make booking for work-related travel efficient. It also provides easy access to receipts for reimbursement reports, reducing my administrative burden. Additionally, I appreciate being able to change tickets with the help of their customer service team, which adds flexibility to my travel plans. The hotel and flight booking features are invaluable for my work, as I frequently travel to clinical sites for study monitoring. The not as helpful as hoped API with Egencia means I am still spending more time than I want to finding receipts for travel booked on our corporate cards

I find Egencia by Amex GBT extremely easy to use. As an administrator, I'm able to get all the information on all my consultants' travel very easily. It's also easy for consultants to book their travel themselves while I maintain visibility into the budget. We can incorporate our travel policy within the system, which is quite practical. The initial setup was fairly simple, and the customer service rep was helpful.

Just sometimes the pricing can be higher than we could find on our own, but usually, it's pretty comparable.

**What do you like best about Egencia by Amex GBT?**

I use Amex GBT Egencia for booking work trips and appreciate how easy it is to have the entire trip scheduled and tracked in one place. It's great that it reminds me automatically to book a car and a hotel, and it adds to the trip report without me having to link it all manually. I like how it keeps everything together for each trip, but it's also easy to separate if needed, especially when multiple trips occur in a short amount of time. Additionally, it's super easy to get all the receipts for my expense reports. The initial setup of Amex GBT Egencia was also super easy.

**What do you dislike about Egencia by Amex GBT?**

I'd wish that my account could be linked to Concur (the company's expense report website) to send the receipts automatically.

Amex GBT Egencia makes it easy to schedule and track trips in one place. It reminds me to book essentials and adds items to reports without needing manual input.

A very solid way to search for various travel related options that are approved by the company for easy tracking and purchase. There are quite a few options for any travel location I need to go to!

**What do you dislike about Egencia by Amex GBT?**

I compared to my own travel research., and I will say that a lot of options are missing, seems like only rather premium options are available. The integration is fine information wise, but the interface is rather messy.

**What problems is Egencia by Amex GBT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sometimes is hard to find the best flights and ones that are approved by the company, this makes an easy place to gather everything together and know that they work with the company's policies. I can book everything together without having to go to other sites or locations to book things separately.

The tool is very easy to use. Very simple steps when booking either, air, hotel o rental. Fields are clear and itemized so it's easy to ready descriptions.

So far there are no Mexican Low-cost airlines included and sometimes rarely but sometimes customer service people leave hanging on users.

They do open a case for any issue or complain and give answer and solutions.

I use Amex GBT Egencia to book travel for work, and it's so easy to book everything. I really like being able to book flights, hotels, and car rentals all at once. Plus, the information gets sent to my co-workers automatically, which saves me a lot of time. Switching from Expedia was a huge time saver for us because, with Expedia, I had to contact airlines myself for any changes, spending a lot of time on hold. With Amex GBT Egencia, your associates handle that part. The initial setup was also easy as we just needed to provide traveler details and emails, and you guys did the rest.

**What do you dislike about Egencia by Amex GBT?**

When I have to cancel a flight and there is an airline credit, I wish I could see it as the travel manager and not just the employee who the flight was booked for. I did send an email to the contact at Amex GBT Egencia, and she never emailed back. Maybe our contact has changed, in which case I never found out about that.

**What problems is Egencia by Amex GBT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amex GBT Egencia because it's easy to book flights, hotels, and car rentals, saving me time. Information is automatically sent to my co-workers. Unlike Expedia, I don't have to contact airlines for changes; Egencia handles it.

I could simply go to the reporting tab and enter some specific data that I am trying to search for and it was so simple to generate a report. Now, it seems that it is a little more difficult to do a quick search. Just a more simplified easier to use reporting tool would help. I would like to be able to customize it be simple. I would just need dates and a ticket number and search based off that.

Another opportunity for improvement would be the introduction of a global events or group travel module. A centralized section where departments can submit and manage group travel requests would be extremely valuable. Ideally, this would allow Events or Travel teams to have full visibility, manage approvals, coordinate bookings, and send communications to attendees in one place. This would reduce manual processes and improve oversight for larger movements of people.

Additionally, a more robust approver dashboard would be highly beneficial. It would be helpful if approvers could easily see where their team members are traveling, what is booked, and upcoming trips not just individual approval requests. This would enhance duty of care, budget visibility, and planning.

Additionally, it would be beneficial to introduce an option within the booking dashboard that allows travelers to upgrade their flight using their personal form of payment. This would provide flexibility while maintaining policy compliance and ensuring the company is only covering the approved portion of the fare.

I find Amex GBT Egencia to be an excellent service, the best we've ever used in years. The platform is easy to use, and the customer service representatives are very helpful. I really appreciate the utility and user-friendliness of the platform. The way the platform is organized and set up makes it very efficient for travel booking. Users can get in, make decisions, book travel, and download the needed data easily. Additionally, the support we received from our account manager made the initial setup very easy.

At times, there are very long holds to wait to speak to a customer service representative on the phone. The phone calls do take quite a bit amount of time to get to completion. Understandably, the reps do have to repeat back to the caller each of the specific details so that both parties can be in alignment. But if there is any way that the calls could be made tighter, briefer, this would expedite efficiency.

I like that all the info and data is in one place. I like the cost comparison and the ability to accept lower costs when available. I like that I can book for groups of people most of the time.

Too many clicks to get where I need. I book for multiple travelers, the "trip" will often disconnect and I need to go back to the 'drafts' and book each traveler individually - then when I want to copy the confirmation codes, I need to search each traveler separately as their own trip, despite booking as one trip. The pages take a long time to load, which would not be an issue if I didn't need to take so many clicks to get one piece of information.

Each traveler you book for or manage needs to either have a profile set up, or they need to add you as an arranger, you cannot search itinerary numbers if you are not added to that persons account.   It is easy enough to have them add you, but getting them to do it can be a bit time consuming and they have to be willing to do it.  Many of the faculty that i work with don't enjoy extra steps.

Sometimes there will be two flights booked in the same trip, but it only shows me the price of one. I kinda have to dig for the transaction history for the second flight. That's basically the only issue I've come across that I haven't found the solution for.

I find booking with Amex GBT Egencia fast and convenient. It's easy for travel arrangers to book for anyone within the company using stored profiles. The platform also makes hotel and flight searches simple. I like that you can sort to find the flights you want quickly, and the maps are especially helpful when booking hotels.

The usage of airline credits is not always easy as many times you have to call an agent to use them, which takes a lot more time and adds a fee.

Ease of use, good user experience, great customer service and I like the option of either chat or calling for assistance when needed.  Have heard no complaints from our employees which is a major bonus!

On rare occasions, flights that are available through carrier website don't show up in Egencia.  However, when chatting/talking to an agent, they're able to assist.  Doesn't happen very often.

The online services/portal/website are quite impressive in terms of the data provided, reporting, case updates, and travel updates. However, the one-to-one support—and the overall dedication and commitment to clients—really need improvement.

**What do you dislike about Egencia by Amex GBT?**

There is a complete dependency on the web services, with a lack of offline support. While processes exist, they don’t seem to be decided after considering all factors on both the supplier and client sides. Customer service does not feel focused on pleasing/ satisfying the client rather than being direct, and it can leave the client halfway through without clear closure.

**What problems is Egencia by Amex GBT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Some workarounds have been proposed, but there is still no clarity or confirmation on whether they can actually be implemented. As a result, I don’t see any clear benefit at this point.

Occasional search limitations: not every low-cost carrier or niche route shows up as comprehensively as I’d like, particularly for Asia-Pacific travel. A few times, I’ve had to cross-check results with other tools to make sure I wasn’t missing options.

**What do you like best about Egencia by Amex GBT?**

Ease of use very user friendly and send me emails that are clear and concise. Its really so easy. Customer support is the best they are super responsive. I have never waited more than 24hrs for them to help me out and that for me is extremely important. The use has been great as I feel we have more visibility of whos traveling.

**What do you dislike about Egencia by Amex GBT?**

I cannot include resort fees for guests this creates friction with employees as they have to put their personal cards. Also, I would like reporting to be easier its hard to reconcile our amex with chages on Egencia at least if they could make this more transparent some times we spend a lot of time just looking for a chage or recipt.

Also if there could be more options for arilways such as brightline

**What problems is Egencia by Amex GBT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our major problems is that all travel was manual , everything was on paper and done thru one person taking up so much time. When there was a change needed the employee would receive calls out of hours as they were the only one able to make the change. Egencia has made this so easy as now each employee can make reservation watch for approvals and make any changes needed. I love it!
