I like that it has almost all the types of charts that we want to present to stakeholders to make sure that insights are being delivered in the most efficient manner. It takes some time for first-time learners to get hands-on with the tool. amCharts have a considerable documentation which is a little difficult to read, as charts can be slow to load when I am working with large datasets. It was the most affordable solution when we implemented it and as long as you're familiar with adjusting code a little bit, this would have been your go to software. When you're able to customize something for your clients you should take up on the opportunity to do so because that yields a better end user experience, even though you might spend more time doing configuration and customization. We have implemented amCharts a few years ago when a client needed to showcase some countries on a touch screen. So amCharts was installed on an in-house server and lived there, never to be seen by the outside world. The responsive chart diagrams in the builder with the automatically integration with the bullet plugin. The dropdown list for the different countries to complete the diagram. I love their chart generator, you have a cool html example where you can specify if you are going to have a bar/pie/any other chart and it lets you put your own data or you can choose random values. We would use a 3rd side company (Sisnse) to do our charts and dashboards but that was limited, unstable and hard to maintain. The language on the support sites isn't the most beginner-friendly, so it took me a while to understand (I'm fairly new to web dev). But I did eventually figure it out. You'll definitely want a working knowledge of Javascript or Typescript (whichever you're using), but you don't need to be an expert (For reference, I'm a student who has never used Javascript outside of Hackathons and class projects, and I was able to implement amCharts relatively easily). I am creating a website for LGBT+ people in countries where homosexuality is illegal, punishable by imprisonment or even death. One of my first features was to create an interactive map that shows what homosexuality laws are present in a given country. amCharts allowed me to create an interactive map relatively easily (much easier than any alternative I've found).
