This was the only platform I found that worked for both POS systems which was incredibly valuable. **What do you dislike about Ambassador Software?** It took FOREVER to set up. I spent at least one month & several days on calls with tech support & the set up team. It was incredibly inefficient & the tech seemed clunky - not user friendly at all. Later in the year, we were asked to do updates in order to continue the functionality of the product. The updates would have taken several hours out of my day & were not simple to complete - it seemed complely counterintuitive to have the customers perform these updates. The customer support on this aspect was very poor & ultimately we left the platform because of it. **What problems is Ambassador Software solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helped us get in front of more customers by utilizing the affliate software. Google Sheets have their purpose, but for the client experience they fall short and may be confusing. Opening tabs upon tabs is just not user friendly even with someone walking you through it. For a small business, the price of the service 5x-ed (literally five times the original price) in 6 years. 2) Furthermore, you can't leave (as is the case with more referral programs to be honest). We have hundreds of people sharing our links — and so if they raise the price, the cost for us to leave is very high because all of the links would shut off. 3) Also, the support is non-existent, from what I understand all of the founding team has moved on — so it's basically just running as someone's acquisition. At the moment, all of my links have been down for 2 now, and literally no one has replied. My suggestion if you're looking for a referral program is to find a service where you OWN your links yourdomain/affiliatelinke123 etc. Otherwise, if you go with a referral company like GetAmbassador you are locked in. They'll raise the prices. I am also sorry that we did not get a chance to discuss your grandfathered plan despite the numerous emails we sent to you well in advance of the account cancellation. I hear your concerns, and would like to address them: 1) Your original contract in 2014 was $250/month. It was raised to about $300/month in 2015 and that hasn't changed since. 2) No one is forced to stay with Ambassador beyond their commitment. 3) We pride ourselves on our support and if you read the reviews, you will see that our customers really appreciate and respect the hard work our success team puts in each and every day. I am very happy to hear that 'hundreds of people are sharing your links, driving you sales and traffic' as you mention. Glad we're doing our job, creating revenue for your company. We are proud of the success your campaign has had over the past 6 years (and is currently having, still using the platform) with Ambassador. This review is a misrepresentation of the situation, and labeling our company as a 'scam' is patently false. ### 26. I have tried numerous other softwares like Referral Candy and this software hands down does it all, they have just released a new look and function which supports the backend that much better. **What do you dislike about Ambassador Software?** The codes are not as simple as a URL with our name, each unique code has to be mbsy.co/company/ambassador. These would be great if they were slimmer for handing out business cards or person to person marketing like a bit.ly shortcode length. But this software does the job right in the online environment of referring customers, it would just be better to put a friendly code on our teams business cards so there is a potienital sale during networking events. **Recommendations to others considering Ambassador Software:** Get a full time Ambassador lead internally to run your Ambassador program, someone with marketing and social media experience.
