The web client does what it should do. You can edit and send mails. High volumes of mails are no problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

IMAP: seems to be not working.

Outlook: close to impossible to get working.

iOS: hard to configure and intermittent time outs / slow downloads.

POP3: not supported.

Web client: it does not work on a small mobile screen.

AWS WorkMail is incredibly easy to to configure, with just few clicks you have a solid, enterprise grade mail service for your business. If you are already using Route53 to host your domain then all the MX, SPF and DKIM records are added automatically. I also like the fact that AWS WorkMail uses the Exchange protocol meaning integrations with Microsoft Outlook and the OS X mail client are totally seamless, providing a great alternative to hosting your own mail services. Unfortunately AWS WorkMail does not support POP3 or IMAP connections meaning you do need to use an exchange compatible mail client such as Outlook and I have yet to be able to get this to work on Linux, though there is a web mail address that you can load in any modern browser. This also poses a problem if you wanted to use the mailbox in any kind of automation that requires a POP3 or IMAP connection. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

If you are not using AWS for something else that are incremental costs to using WorkMail.
