What do you like best about Amazon Route 53?

It is a managed DNS service and bypasses many common maintenance tasks of traditional DNS services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon Route 53?

That you can not forward to an on-premises DNS server and you can't have and on-premises DNS server query it. I realize there is a new feature called responder or something but it won't be in govcloud for a long time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

DNS has a bunch of nigglly little details which can be hazadous to an enviroment when things go south. R53 keep it simple and managable Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The lack of support for SSH finger print records is a obvious and clear ommistion
