"Easy and powerful"
4/5
What do you like best about Amazon Route 53?

It's easy to use if you understand how domains, DNS and nameservers work. The UI is helpful and makes things easier to understand and configure. It's similar to how IONOS and GoDaddy works. Very powerful tool and fast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon Route 53?

It can be complicated for novice users but once the documentation is read then it's easier to understand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Amazing swiss knife for DNS management"
5/5
What do you like best about Amazon Route 53?

I am using it to manage roughly 5 domains, with different needs. It doesn't matter in case your domains are purchases by AWS or outside, both works well.

- Uptime for the Route 53 is amazing and 5 9's.

- Quite hard to make mistake with DNS, thanks to their editor Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon Route 53?

- Bulk editing is pain, beacause of missing export/import feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Amazon Route 53?

For just one buck, you can register a domain name @ Route 53, the welcome page seemed extremely persuasive and Free? The support team replied reasonably and timely with detailed information as described in their workbook. Route 53 is perfectly suitable for all sizes of business, all kinds of industry, and all regions of countries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon Route 53?

Signed up for evaluation purpose, given the experiences with Amazon I never had doubts, ever. Unfortunately AWS isn't average consumer service, critical KBs are not all available or localized. Therefore I decided to terminate the service and end up the evaluation, and it took me two months submitted different tickets to query how-to. No support team would not enable nor disable services you initiated by accidents, support only provide standard practice that may not even work... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Robust and reliable DNS for all your public cloud needs"
4/5
What do you like best about Amazon Route 53?

Route 53 is integrated right into AWS, so it is easy for developers and DevOps people to use without changing platforms/products. It also supports the full range of DNS options - A and CNAME and so on as usual, but also SRV and other things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon Route 53?

The interface is a bit basic, especially for DNS options like TXT which can be multi-valued. In AWS you get a multi-line text editor with a limited width so its a little unintuitive and a little constrained when trying to do things like edit SPF records, add verification records for Google webmaster tools, or things like that. Amazon route53 is a great way to route your traffic from internet to your application. It provides an efficient way for traffic-management. Users can use route 53 to route their application users to different server based on their geo location, application health status, load on application etc. It has DNS failover feature which let end user to route to an different page if the application is down due to certain reasons. We can also buy domain for our application in route53. It can be widely integrated with other AWS services like cloudfront, load balancer etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon Route 53?

Amazon route53 is a costly DNS service. If you buy domains from route53, then it will cost you more as compare to other DNS service providers. The route53 interface could have been better. Also, if your application runs on-premise, then using route-53 will make your life a bit harder because it has limited integration with on-prem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
