It also provides redundancy for the data and computes part also. **What do you dislike about Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS)?** In RDS we don't have root access of the database so when any issue comes we can not analyse it from the root level. They have some limitations while executing queries. You cannot be a super User. Because our company was using AWS, so we planned to migrate it to RDS and Bingo! it had also Postgres database support. It was like icing on the cake. so we plan to migrate our database. We used the AWS DMS service to do this migration. And finally, we successfully did this without any error and data loss. The best thing I love about RDS is that we can get it created with templates with little to no effort and in case things got worse we can always roll back to an older version with the snapshots and with the reserved pricing plan things become cost-friendly as well. **What do you dislike about Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS)?** The only thing I dislike about RDS is that once we create subnet groups we can't attach a new subnet group unless it's shifted to another VPC which increases the downtime but AWS has given an option to modify the subnet group which decreases downtime which doesn't make it a major problem but if it was resolved then it would be perfect. **What problems is Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) solving and how is that benefiting you?** RDS PostgresSQL is being used as a backend to store and process multiple backend requests. We are shifting to Redshift to faster process the data but till when we were using RDS PostgreSQL never once faced any issue related to performance.
