**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leonidas R. | Network Analyst, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Amazon QuickSight?**

I appreciate how seamlessly Amazon QuickSight integrates with our AWS resources, making it a straightforward choice for gathering information. I find the ease of the setup process remarkable; it takes just a few clicks to start collecting data, which saves us considerable time and effort. The integration experience is excellent, requiring minimal effort from our side to begin deriving insights. The platform provides us with comprehensive insights and information that we couldn't access with our previous tools, significantly enhancing our understanding of data files and EC2 instances. I find the operational monitoring feature particularly beneficial and have been looking forward to such capabilities. I also value the financial reporting feature that allows me to track expenses over the past few months effectively. Amazon QuickSight is fast and easy to manage, which is a primary reason I would consider purchasing it again. This ease of use allows us to focus more on decision-making and less on technical hurdles, enabling us to apply insights quickly to optimize our AWS resources.

**What do you dislike about Amazon QuickSight?**

I find that Amazon QuickSight could improve in terms of practicality and intuitiveness. The current design does not offer the best user experience, and making it more intuitive could enhance usability.

**What problems is Amazon QuickSight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find that Amazon QuickSight gives us insights into AWS resources, saving time and helping in decision-making. It aggregates data easily, providing valuable operational and financial insights, thus allowing us to manage our resources better.

  ### 2. Solid BI tool for AWS-driven ecosystems, but with some limitations

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexandre C. | Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Amazon QuickSight?**

I like how well QuickSight integrates with other AWS services, making it easy to pull data from sources like Redshift and S3. The pricing model is competitive, especially for large organizations with many read-only users. I also appreciate the recent improvements in Generative BI (Amazon Q), which adds a layer of user-friendliness through natural language interactions. It’s quick to deploy, relatively easy to maintain, and ideal for dashboards and operational reporting in cloud-native environments.

**What do you dislike about Amazon QuickSight?**

While QuickSight works well within the AWS ecosystem, it lacks flexibility compared to more mature BI tools like Power BI or Tableau. Custom visualizations and formatting options are limited, and the interface can feel unintuitive at times. Advanced data modeling and transformations also require workarounds or external preprocessing. Additionally, integration with non-AWS data sources isn’t as seamless as advertised, which can slow things down in hybrid environments.

**What problems is Amazon QuickSight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QuickSight helps us centralize reporting across departments by connecting directly to AWS data sources and presenting KPIs in a unified, visual way. It reduces the need for manual reporting and enables stakeholders to access dashboards in near real time. It’s especially useful for cost and performance tracking of cloud-native applications, and the pay-per-session model is cost-effective for occasional viewers.

  ### 3. Seamless AWS Integration, Cost-Effective and Scalable

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jojo J. | Software Developer

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Amazon QuickSight?**

I love using Amazon QuickSight for its seamless integration with AWS services, enabling smooth data connectivity and efficient large dataset analysis. Its interactive dashboards, machine learning-powered insights, and real-time analytics enhance my data visualization and reporting. The cost-effective, scalable architecture and the easy deployment with the pay-per-session pricing model stand out. I appreciate the natural language query feature for accessibility, fast SPICE engine performance, and secure data sharing for effective team collaboration.

**What do you dislike about Amazon QuickSight?**

I find some of the more complex functions in Amazon QuickSight, like calculated fields and custom visuals, a bit clunky, requiring extra navigations and clicks. It would be beneficial if the user interface for advanced analytics was made more intuitive. This would particularly help new users or non-technical members to understand and use it more easily. While QuickSight is excellent for creating dashboards and visualizations, improving the user interface and simplifying the access to advanced features would enhance its user-friendliness. Additionally, there is a slight learning curve for the advanced features, which can be a barrier initially.

**What problems is Amazon QuickSight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amazon QuickSight to automate dashboard creation, integrate data effectively, and access real-time insights seamlessly. It saves reporting time, enhances security, and allows faster data-driven decisions without constant IT support. Its scalability and cost-effectiveness make it ideal for all data sizes.

  ### 4. Comprehensive BI Tool with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** RAKSHITH G. | Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Amazon QuickSight?**

Amazon QuickSight integrates smoothly with other AWS services, making it convenient for users already working within the AWS ecosystem. It provides fast, scalable analytics and allows easy creation of interactive dashboards without requiring complex setup. The SPICE engine helps in handling large datasets efficiently, and the web-based interface is accessible and responsive.

**What do you dislike about Amazon QuickSight?**

While Amazon QuickSight offers strong integration with AWS and solid performance, its user interface can feel less intuitive compared to some other BI tools. Customization options for visuals and layouts are somewhat limited, and advanced features may require additional AWS knowledge or setup. Pricing can also become complex to estimate when scaling to multiple users or large datasets.

**What problems is Amazon QuickSight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amazon QuickSight helps consolidate data from multiple AWS and external sources into a single platform for analysis and reporting. It simplifies the process of building dashboards and sharing insights across teams, reducing manual reporting efforts. The ability to generate real-time visualizations supports quicker decision-making and improves overall visibility into key business metrics.

  ### 5. A scalable BI tool for AWS users, but not the most beginner-friendly

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shrutika P. | Junior Developer, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Amazon QuickSight?**

It allows for smooth ingestion of large datasets and offers good performance once configured properly. The pay-per-session pricing model is cost-effective for organizations with many occasional or non-daily users. Integration with AWS services like S3, Athena, and Redshift is seamless, making it a natural choice for teams already operating within the AWS ecosystem. Implementation is relatively straightforward if you're familiar with AWS IAM and permissions, though non-technical users may need initial support. Customer support through AWS is reliable, especially with premium plans. Since we don't use it daily, the on-demand usage model suits our team well, and the ML-powered features like anomaly detection add value without additional complexity.

**What do you dislike about Amazon QuickSight?**

The interface isn't as intuitive as other BI tools, and customization options for dashboards are somewhat limited. Also, real-time collaboration features are lacking, and dashboard formatting can be restrictive.

**What problems is Amazon QuickSight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It reduces the need for manual reporting, supports role-based data access, and makes it easier to present trends to stakeholders. Its pay-per-session model makes it cost-efficient for teams with a mix of frequent and infrequent users.

  ### 6. Efficient BI Tool with Solid AWS Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leonid C. | Senior Artificial Intelligence Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Amazon QuickSight?**

Amazon QuickSight is tightly integrated with the AWS ecosystem, which makes it very convenient to use for data stored in S3, Redshift, and Athena. I like that it scales well without complex setup, and the cost-effective pay-per-session pricing model is especially useful compared to traditional BI tools. The interactive dashboards are responsive, and the ability to quickly embed analytics into apps or internal portals helps reduce development overhead.

**What do you dislike about Amazon QuickSight?**

The user interface can sometimes feel less intuitive compared to competitors, especially for new users who are not familiar with AWS services. Advanced customization for visualizations is somewhat limited, and documentation could be improved with more practical, end-to-end examples. There are also occasional delays when working with larger datasets, which can affect the user experience in real-time analysis.

**What problems is Amazon QuickSight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QuickSight centralizes self‑service BI on top of our AWS data lake and warehouse (Athena/Redshift/S3), removing ad‑hoc notebook dashboards and reducing time from model output to stakeholder‑ready visuals. SPICE acceleration and direct queries let analysts explore large datasets without managing servers, while embedded dashboards and row‑level security enable safe sharing with product and internal users. As a result, reporting latency dropped from days to hours, ad‑hoc analysis load on the data team decreased, and product teams gained near‑real‑time visibility into KPIs and ML inference quality.

  ### 12. My personal experience: great for AWS users, but not always the easiest to use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Amazon QuickSight?**

I like how easy it is to connect QuickSight with other AWS services. It saves a lot of time when pulling data together, and the dashboards are pretty fast and interactive once you get them set up. The pay-per-session pricing is also a big plus because it keeps costs down compared to other BI tools I’ve used.

**What do you dislike about Amazon QuickSight?**

The tool isn’t always the most user-friendly. Sometimes it takes a while to figure out how to do simple things, and the customization options for charts and visuals feel limited. For more complex data, I often need to prepare it outside of QuickSight first, which can be frustrating. The documentation could also be better—it doesn’t always explain advanced features in a clear way.

**What problems is Amazon QuickSight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QuickSight helps me turn raw data into dashboards and reports that are easy to share with my team. Instead of spending time exporting spreadsheets or running manual queries, I can quickly build visuals and track KPIs in real time. Since it’s integrated with AWS, I don’t have to worry about moving data around—it’s already connected. This saves me time, reduces errors, and makes it much easier for everyone to make decisions based on the same information.

  ### 13. Powerful BI tool with seamless AWS integration but room for UI improvements

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Amazon QuickSight?**

It makes it easy to connect directly with AWS data sources like S3, Redshift, and Athena, which saves a lot of time compared to traditional BI setups. I also like the speed and scalability—it handles large datasets smoothly and offers pay-per-session pricing, which is cost-efficient. The ML insights feature is particularly useful for quick trend spotting without having to build complex models.

**What do you dislike about Amazon QuickSight?**

The user interface feels less intuitive compared to competitors like Power BI or Tableau. Customization of visuals can sometimes be limited, and creating complex calculated fields or advanced dashboards requires a learning curve. Documentation is decent but could go deeper in certain areas, especially for more advanced use cases.

**What problems is Amazon QuickSight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Connection to data sources and integration to AWS is easy without need for complex ETL pipelines and reduces my need as a manager to rely on data engineering teams for tasks like data extraction and preparation.

  ### 14. A solid but sometimes frustrating analytics tool for everyday use

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Machinery | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Amazon QuickSight?**

I appreciate how QuickSight integrates seamlessly with other AWS services, which makes pulling in large datasets relatively smooth once everything is set up. The pricing structure is also attractive compared to some of the bigger BI tools — I don’t feel like I’m paying for endless features I won’t use. It’s lightweight, fast to load dashboards, and I like that I can share reports across teams without needing to create overly complicated user accounts.

**What do you dislike about Amazon QuickSight?**

Where QuickSight falls short for me is in the usability and polish of its interface. Some of the workflows feel clunky — creating calculated fields or drilling down into visuals isn’t nearly as intuitive as in Tableau or Power BI. Styling and formatting options are quite limited and can make dashboards look generic or “unfinished.” I also find that the documentation doesn’t always go deep enough, so when I hit a snag, I’m left piecing things together through trial and error. Lastly, managing permissions can be unexpectedly fiddly, especially for non-technical colleagues.

**What problems is Amazon QuickSight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amazon QuickSight solves the problem of making data visualization and business intelligence accessible and scalable within the AWS ecosystem. It addresses the need for a cost-effective, cloud-native analytics tool that can handle large datasets without requiring extensive infrastructure management or setup, unlike traditional on-premises BI solutions.
For me as an analyst, this means I can quickly connect to various AWS data sources and start creating interactive dashboards and reports with minimal IT support. The scalability and serverless architecture free me from concerns about performance issues or hardware limitations, allowing me to focus on analyzing data rather than managing servers.

  ### 15. Powerful and Scalable BI Tool

I really appreciate how seamlessly Quick Sight integrates with other AWS services, making data access and analysis very straightforward. The interactive dashboards are easy to use, and the ML-powered insights help uncover trends quickly, which is great for decision-making.

**What do you dislike about Amazon QuickSight?**

The user interface can feel a bit clunky at times, and there are limited customization options for visualizations compared to some other BI tools. It can take a little effort to create exactly the dashboard you want.

**What problems is Amazon QuickSight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amazon QuickSight helps me quickly analyze and visualize large datasets without needing complex infrastructure or additional software. It solves the problem of bringing data from multiple sources together and turning it into actionable insights. This benefits me by saving time on manual reporting, enabling faster decision-making, and allowing me to share interactive dashboards with colleagues easily.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Amazon QuickSight?**

Main thing is that if you use AWS as your stack, this thing fits perfectly, fast, cost-efficient and easy to optimize, especially with Amazon Q AI integration in it.

**What do you dislike about Amazon QuickSight?**

Well some features do require workarounds, like global filters or parameters, and sometimes the UI is very unintuitive around what you want done. Also lacks version control as far as I know.

**What problems is Amazon QuickSight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easily integrate lots of marketing platforms like Google Ads, Meta etc. Let's us see ROI, spend easily in one place.

  ### 17. Honest review

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Amazon QuickSight?**

There is nothing to like about Amazon QuickSight. The tool is unintuitive, slow, limited in features, and provides no meaningful value for the time and effort required.

**What do you dislike about Amazon QuickSight?**

Amazon QuickSight was a waste of time. The interface is not intuitive, navigation is inefficient, and core features are limited. Performance is slow even with small datasets, and customization options are minimal. The time required to produce basic reports exceeded the value the tool provided.

**What problems is Amazon QuickSight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

N/A.

  ### 18. Cost-effective and scalable BI tool with room for usability improvements

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

Amazon QuickSight integrates seamlessly with other AWS services and makes it simple to analyze large datasets without heavy infrastructure. The pay-per-session pricing is cost-efficient, and the ability to scale quickly for enterprise-level dashboards is a big advantage. Its native ML-powered insights are very helpful for uncovering trends and anomalies automatically.

**What do you dislike about Amazon QuickSight?**

The interface can feel less intuitive compared to competitors, and the learning curve is steeper for new users. Customization of visuals is limited, and the performance sometimes lags with highly complex queries. Customer support and community resources could also be more comprehensive, especially for troubleshooting integrations outside AWS.

**What problems is Amazon QuickSight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amazon QuickSight helps us centralise data analysis across different AWS sources, removing the need for heavy ETL processes. It enables quick dashboard creation for business and technical teams, provides ML-driven insights to highlight anomalies, and allows cost-efficient scalability for enterprise reporting. **What do you like best about Amazon QuickSight?**

I like that it is serverless, has AWS integration and is scalable.

**What do you dislike about Amazon QuickSight?**

I would say I am not the biggest fan on the UI, also the limited offline access when I need to travel.
