What I like best about Amazon Mechanical Turk is the ability to have the freedom to choose what I want to do and for however long I want to do it for. What do you dislike about Amazon Mechanical Turk? A lot of the work is long and low paying. I majored in marketing so a big part of specific courses was getting people to fill out surveys and Mechanical Turk was always a good option. It's pretty astonishing how far a small incentive will get you. And if you're in the line of trying to make a few extra bucks, doing the surveys yourself isn't a bad option either. No robust mechanisms that make setting up survey's difficult and it's easy to pay individuals their incentives who participate in your survey. The qualifications for taking specific surveys are sometimes beyond achievable for people who don't do this for a full-time job, which is understandable but can be annoying if trying to make money and the only good Turks are gated beyond your achievements.
