When it comes for security i always beleive in Linux operating system. For my applications exucation in AWS i always rely on Amazon Linux. Now Aws has also Amazon linux 2 which has more features than Amazon Linux. Amazon Linux 2 solved my issues for Database Processing which i was facing in Amazon Linux. It's lightweight, it's easy to use, and good for deploying servers, databases and you can stop using it when you don't want to and you won't be charged except for storage.
