"Redis but hosted on AWS, yes please"
5/5
What do you like best about Amazon ElastiCache?

ElasticCache is basically just a drop in place replacement for redis or memcached. We use it where ever we can tolerate the network latency. Excellent product Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon ElastiCache?

Network latency can be a little slow for our use cases, we expect our caches to be lightning fast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple Setup, Easy to Use, but Memcache Client Selection Somewhat Limited"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Amazon ElastiCache?

Extremely easy setup; Scalable; Integrated with AWS API; Supports both Redis and Memcache; Can perform backups with Redis Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon ElastiCache?

When using with Memcache, if your cluster contains more than one node, you need to extend your memcache client to support the "Auto Discovery" of nodes. This would be fine, but Amazon only officially supports .NET, Java and PHP. There is unofficial support in other languages via open source packages (or you can code your own), but this aspect can be tricky to set up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
