EFS Overview **Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2018 **What do you like best about Amazon Elastic File System (Amazon EFS)?** It's a nice easy NFS system without the headache of a fileserver. **What do you dislike about Amazon Elastic File System (Amazon EFS)?** While it serves the purpose, often the sites that we are running are rather small in size, this can cause degraded performance because we aren't using enough space to get higher throughput. **Recommendations to others considering Amazon Elastic File System (Amazon EFS):** Make sure that it meets your performance needs. **What problems is Amazon Elastic File System (Amazon EFS) solving and how is that benefiting you?** My primary use case is to take certain applications (like WordPress) that heavily rely on the filesystem and help deploy them in an autoscaled environment (ECS or EC2), while maintaining a consistent view of the filesystem across all instances. ### 2. It was very easy to set up and get started with. **What do you dislike about Amazon Elastic File System (Amazon EFS)?** File throughput was not fast enough for our use-case as throughput was tied to amounts of GB's that you stored.
