What do you like best about Amazon EC2?

Amazon EC2 is very useful for my farm. It does everything for me and I don't need to do much. It helps a lot with everything and clarifies many things. I like its features the best, which are going to be very useful today and in the future. Moreover, its setup process is very easy, so easy that even a child can do it. Because of this, I would give it ten out of ten points. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable Server Deployments, Needs Improved Alerts"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Amazon EC2?

I am using Amazon EC2 for my website deployment. I like it because it's very handy, giving me a remote server to redirect my traffic with 99 percent uptime without any technical issues. It offers many OS options like Linux, Windows, and Ubuntu, allowing for flexibility according to my needs. The feature I like most is the CLI control, which gives me the ability to manage EC2 configurations through CLI commands, providing more control compared to manual RDP options. The initial setup was easy, thanks to the tutorials and steps on the UI interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?

Sometimes, Amazon EC2 doesn't give you proper updates about the memory fulfillment, and if the memory goes above a certain threshold, the application can go down. Also, the deployment process is not simple enough and can be hard for developers who are not very experienced. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Amazon EC2: Easy to Deploy at Scale with Flexible Instance Options"
5/5
What do you like best about Amazon EC2?

What I like best about Amazon EC2 is how easy it is to use and implement, even at scale. Spinning up instances is quick, and the setup process is straightforward with good documentation and tooling. We use EC2 very frequently for day-to-day workloads, and the large number of instance types and features gives us flexibility for almost any use case. It integrates seamlessly with other AWS services, which simplifies networking, storage, and security, and AWS customer support is reliable when help is needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?

One thing I dislike about Amazon EC2 is the complexity that comes with its flexibility. With so many instance types, pricing models, and configuration options, it can be overwhelming and easy to misconfigure or overspend. Cost visibility and optimization also require extra effort and tooling. Additionally, managing EC2 at scale often means relying on multiple supporting services, which increases operational overhead. "Scalable Powerhouse with Cost Complexity"
5/5
What do you like best about Amazon EC2?

I find Amazon EC2 incredibly valuable for running web servers like Apache, Nginx, or Node.js. The most impressive aspect of Amazon EC2 is its versatility and elasticity, addressing the need for reliable, on-demand, and scalable computing power. It's designed to integrate seamlessly with a wide range of first-party AWS services and third-party software to build, manage, and scale applications. The initial setup of an Amazon EC2 instance is generally considered straightforward for those with basic technical knowledge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?

Users often find the vast array of instance types and complex billing models overwhelming. This frequently leads to 'bill shock' due to unexpected costs from idle resources, Elastic IP addresses, or unoptimized data transfer fees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"On-Demand Scalability and Instance Choice Without Upfront Investment"
5/5
What do you like best about Amazon EC2?

On-demand scalability

You can spin up or shut down servers in minutes. Whether you need 1 VM or 1,000, EC2 handles it without upfront investment.

Wide instance variety

Flexible pricing models Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?

Pricing complexity

EC2 pricing can be difficult to understand with multiple models (On-Demand, Reserved, Spot). It’s easy to misconfigure and end up with higher costs than expected.

Cost management challenges

Without proper monitoring and governance, costs can quickly escalate—especially with:

Idle instances

Over-provisioning

Data transfer charges Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"EC2 Made Easy: Fast Setup and User-Friendly Features"
5/5
What do you like best about Amazon EC2?

The EC2 service is easy to use and supports even non-technical people. Creating a new EC2 server takes about 5 minutes and doesn’t require any technical person. Most of the needed features are available as well, like security groups, EBS with gp3, and the PEM file is easy to download. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?

In EC2, what I dislike most is setting up custom VPCs and Auto Scaling groups. It requires solid networking knowledge, and it can be hard to configure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Scalability and Cost Optimization with Amazon EC2"
5/5
What do you like best about Amazon EC2?

I really like the variety of instance classes available with Amazon EC2, as it helps us choose the right server for the right environment. The free tier is also a big plus, allowing us to perform POC or dev testing without any cost and get the experience of EC2. Setting up Amazon EC2 was very, very easy—the steps were self-explanatory, especially after watching the video. It's convenient to spin up compute servers quickly and scale up based on our needs, leading to more cost optimization and allowing us to go live in less time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?

I think all the classes are not available in all the regions. Some of the regions have different costs than others, so it was difficult to make the customer understand why the charges are different. The upfront commitment plan could be reduced to a 3-month or 6-month duration for small organizations to reduce the risk. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Deployment, Top-Notch Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about Amazon EC2?

I like Amazon EC2 for its easiness to deploy and set up. It's pretty cheap, and I find the integration with other parts of Amazon to be one of its great features. It’s very easy to integrate, which makes things in one place. The gun rails and firewalls add to its cybersecurity benefits, making it reliable for my needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?

I think they should give us access to Mac OS. I found the initial setup challenging due to the learning curve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Review of Amazone EC2’s Flexible Instance"
5/5
What do you like best about Amazon EC2?

You can launch or stop servers in minutes and scale resources up or down based on demand. This makes it ideal for applications with variable traffic.

EC2 offers many instance families optimized for different workloads—general computing, memory-intensive tasks, GPU workloads, machine learning, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?

One drawback of Amazon EC2 is that it can be complex for beginners. There are many configuration options—instance types, networking, security groups, storage, and scaling—which can feel overwhelming when you’re just getting started.

Another challenge is cost management Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
