**What do you like best about Amazon EC2?**

I find the most impressive in Amazon EC2 versatility which in simple terms means that while selecting the type of server to provision I can do so in a manner that will meet the need of a specific application. Its offering of instance types and purchasing models range is vast enough to offer the right combination for maximizing the performance WITHOUT compromising the costs. Further, interoperability with other AWS services is well-developed which results in the optimization of work and efficiency.

**What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?**

My problem with Amazon is that it seems hard to avoid complex management, particularly for big deployments that include many instance types and configurations. Monitoring and management tools from Amazon Web Services (AWS) are strong but can be difficult to understand for people who are just starting out. Moreover, without proper instance optimization and management, these instances may lead to high spending levels thereby necessitating close supervision and optimization efforts.

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Amazon EC2?**

One of the best cloud computing services available is Amazon EC2, and I appreciate how scalable it is. We can quickly establish an EC2 instance as needed and quickly end it anytime we'd want. When it comes to server maintenance, this helps me save a ton of money. It offers many different instance types. For example, I may select an instance that is compute-, memory-, GPU-, or storage-optimized, or I can choose any sort of instance depending on my needs. The best thing about EC2 is this. Instead, it's quite safe. For example, I may block inbound and outgoing traffic using security groups.Additionally, I have no trouble integrating EC2 with other AWS services like Amazon S3, Amazon Route 53, and IAM.The customer support was useful there ill responses

**What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?**

It might be somewhat difficult for a novice to comprehend and install an Amazon EC2 instance for the first time. Before creating any EC2 instances, you must have some prior understanding of EC2 and its billing-related aspects.Additionally, I think the cost of an on-demand EC2 instance is a little bit excessive. Apart from them, there's not much to be unhappy about.i ill use less Frequency of Use becuse it might charge high

**What problems is Amazon EC2 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

EC2 instances allow me to pay less for the computational power they give, saving me a lot of money compared to maintaining on-premise servers. I can decide when and how many servers I want, and I have that freedom. Our products' ability to provide appropriate security for cross-platform use was aided by user policies. Because of the lowest level of access you may mention, we are not concerned even if someone manages to obtain tokens.
Fast data availability and speed Because of the auto elastic fe, we never have to worry about security or heavy server use.

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Amazon EC2?**

The ease of creating/managing resources be it serverless or managed by us. We migrated the old architecutere to AWS using various services like DMS, Step functions, Lambda, ECS, SNS,SQS,Redshift etc. The integration/implementation process was quite easy and stable. As a team we used to focus more on logic rather than worrying about the infrastructure. Within a year we were able to migrate everything to AWS. We used the new Architecture everyday from ingestion to reporting.

**What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?**

There were scenarios where the lambda services were not able to invoke other resources which led to data loss. but after connecting to the customer support team we could analyze the issue and with the suggestions of the support team could see to it that the same issue does not arises again.

**What problems is Amazon EC2 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We migrated the existing architecture of the client from IICS to AWS. Since the licensing cost of IICS is high compared to the AWS services which we had to pay only when it was in use. The cost and time performance we gained after migrating to AWS was great.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ritik S. | Full-stack Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Amazon EC2?**

AWS EC2 offers almost most of the features we required at our company, following are the points which make us keep using EC2 for almost every product.
1) EC2 provides a very minimal interface to boot up new machine images.
2) One-year free quota for new learners, I started my experience because of this feature, thanks to amazon.
3) EC2 status check is an amazing feature, provides feedback for failures.
4) AWS budget helps to track the usage and provide monthly alerts.
5) I like the clean interface and simple UX to interact with the portal.
6) Because of the fast speed of AWS EC2 hardware, terminating, and restarting machines is very easy and helpful.
7) Key pair is a mind-blowing feature, I can provide my pem key access to any product we have without worrying about malicious activities.
8) Because of the high speed of EC2 working, I have been using my i3 system for development through an ssh shell with my EC2 image, which provides an amazing speed of development.
9) Mail alerts, simply do not have to log in to check the status, aws does all the work. Really happy with the AWS server facility.

**What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?**

Although I have not been using AWS EC2 for a long time, I am already satisfied with most of the features AWS provide. There are still some downsides I like to point out.
1) Not very beginner-friendly User Interface, but since the features provided are abundant, I can not complain much.
2) Less customizable option for themes and colours.
3) I had to refresh to update the status of terminating, restarting or starting AWS EC2 image, please provide something dynamic.
4) Integration with ssh gets a bit trickier sometimes.

**What problems is Amazon EC2 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1) By providing a free one-year quota, EC2 helps new users motivate and learn about cloud services and help develop new solutions for existing problems.
2) User policies helped our products to ensure proper security for cross platform usage. Even if someone gets their hands on tokens, we are not worried about it because of the least amount of access you can mention.
3) High speed and data availability always, we do not have to worry about security and high usage of servers because of the auto elastic feature.
4) Providing virtualisation, we did not have to spend the money on high-end laptops for development environments, only providing pem key and public IP of the server to use.
5) Native load balancing feature is handful feature, earlier on primes server were having problems on high usage of cloud services.

**What do you like best about Amazon EC2?**

Amazon EC2 is one of the leading cloud compute service in the market, I really like how highly scalable it is,whenever required We can create an EC2 instance within a minute and whenever We want We can terminate it easily. This helps me to save a lot of money compared to maintaining on premise servers. It provides a wide range of instance type for eg I can chose compute optimized, memory optimized,GPU optimized, storage optimized or any type of instance based on my personal need. This is the best feature of EC2. Instead of this, its highly secured for eg using security groups I can limit inbound and outbound traffic. Also I can easily integrate EC2 with other AWS services for eg Amazon S3.IAM,Amazon Route 53 etc. This is really helpful.

**What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?**

For a newbie it can be pretty much hard to understand and configure Amazon EC2 instance for the first time. You need to have prior knowledge of EC2 and its billing related things before creating any EC2 instance. Also the price of on-demand EC2 instance is little bit high accordingly to me. Beside these, there is nothing much to complain.

**What problems is Amazon EC2 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Instead of spending lots of money to maintain on premise servers, I can just simply pay a lower amount for the compute power provided by the EC2 instances. I have the flexibility to increase as well as decrease the number of servers anytime whenever I want. The is the best part of how Amazon EC2 is solving problems and benefiting me as well.

  ### 21. EC2 is the best for the compute

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Amazon EC2?**

the servers they manage are state-of-the-art, very robust and fast. I am using them to deploy sites built with WordPress. The speed and stability of the servers are the best I have seen. Additionally, they have the option to reserve instances, which allows saving by making annual payments or over longer periods.

**What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?**

your technological service is the best, however, the technical support becomes almost nonexistent for instance deployments, one must have sufficient technical knowledge to carry out the implementations.

**What problems is Amazon EC2 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They constantly update their servers to make the latest technologies available, and they also conduct training sessions and forums regularly to immerse themselves more in new technologies.

  ### 23. Amazon Elastic Cloud Compute (EC2) Why and How to make use of

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raj M. | Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Amazon EC2?**

The most helpful and wonderful thing about amazon ec2 is that it provides number of options to create instances varying from 1 core cpu to 48 core cpu. Imagine purching a machine which requires a compute power of 48 core cpu and you only need it for a month or two. That would not be efficient. To purchase infrastructure of our own is very expensive and this is where amazon Ec2 comes into play. It is like we can rent these systems at a very cheap cost without having to physically configure them. We can get these easily from amazon. Amazon provides variety of options ranging from variety of os based instances such as linux, Macos, unbuntu and many more. We can attach a Aws VPC to it to manage traffic in the way we want. It also provides multiple storage options like EBS volume, EFS volume as per our requirement.

**What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?**

For a newbie it is very difficult to understand the setting up and configuring EC2 instances. Pricing is cheap but the pricing modek is complex as it depends on factors such as instance type, region, data storage used, instance type and many more. Managing security of data and application running EC2 instances is in out own hand. We should not share any keys with anyone because anyone having access to keys can misuse it and this may produce high usage charges.

**What problems is Amazon EC2 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

EC2 is reducing need of purchasing high infrastructure and providing it readily at anytime . EC2 provides instances which have already preinstalled OS with various choices which makes it easy for us if we need to use more than one kind of operating system. So in short I can say EC2 gives us Flexibility, Scalability, Cost Efficiency and High Performance computing.

**What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?**

There isn't any. It is very useful. Just the fact that it charges now for reserving static IPs is sad.

**What problems is Amazon EC2 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

EC2 solves the problem of hosting VMs to the cloud. The UI is also very interactive and easy to use than competitors.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** R V. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Amazon EC2?**

EC2 removes all the traditional needs of launching a VM on-prem and all the servers can be now hosted on cloud that too cost efficient.

It just takes seconds to launch an instance of a preference! It supports a ton of OS that can be hosted on cloud.

**What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?**

If you want to use OS like Windows 10 or 11 than EC2 offers some custom AMI which are available in marketplace but that comes with additional cost and in that case there is an another service named as Amazon Workspace that can be used.

**What problems is Amazon EC2 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

EC2 helps me to host all my necessary test and prod servers and that too in seconds! I don't have to manage my on-prem servers with an end-to-end cycle anymore.

  ### 29. It is one of the best three cloud giants

**What do you like best about Amazon EC2?**

My experience in aws have been so interesting and productive

**What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?**

It needs links inside the product for extra help or explaining the feature instead of searching for it

**What problems is Amazon EC2 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The hosting of my services in their infrastructure, it is so smooth and fast

  ### 30. Best compute service

It is super easy to use and one of the fastest out there providing such compute services

**What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?**

The formal and out dated UI. But it still looks quite clean

**What problems is Amazon EC2 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me spawn computers where I can run my work. Also create schedules and pipelines.

  ### 31. Works flawlessly but not cheap. You get what you pay for

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Farhad S. | Cloud Infrastructure Head, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Amazon EC2?**

Excellent GUI for novices, APIs and SDKs for expert users.
Excellent reliability. I've been unable to access my EC2 VMs only once in the past 10 years if you exclude the AWS wide outages that occured a few times.
Excellent scaling capabilities. Simple click via GUI or simple API change to scale. Auto-scaling via ELB also works great.
Excellent network throughput (depends on the flavor of the VM no doubt but never been an issue for me).
Excellent security. The mandate to move EC2 instances to VPCs was very good. With the range of security features both basic and advanced I've never been too worried about AWS EC2 security.
Best documentation compared to all other public clouds.
For managers - largest available pool of engineers with expert level knowledge available.

**What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?**

Cost, cost, cost. I don't know anyone who has not received a price shock at seeing their EC2 bill once in their lifetime.
Only 5 public IP addresses for EC2 available by default. This was an issue earlier before AWS introduced hardware NAT.
Support. EC2 is rock solid but in the rare case you need support it is slow or non-existent for non supported accounts.

**What problems is Amazon EC2 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm in charge of my company's internal cloud. Our internal cloud is primarily for BM provisioning.
When users did compute VMs or containers without GPUs we provision them in AWS and EKS respectively.

  ### 32. AWS EC2 Great Uptime, But Confusing to Admin

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Amazon EC2?**

Reliability. I'm an IT professional with over 30 years experience with many cloud services and on-premise infrastructure. EC2, by far has been the most reliable, available, well-managed provider of compute power.

**What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?**

Administration is too tedious. For every hour of my time that I have to spend understanding reserved instance rules, how to provision elastic IP addresses, making sure my instances are in the right region, managing storage, the less I like the platform. Some of us want to run our business, and don't have time to administer the cloud environment -- after all, that's why we signed up for cloud computer rather than buying physicial servers and putting them under our desks.

**What problems is Amazon EC2 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My business is very volatile -- I don't know if I will make a million dollars this year or go bankrupt; I don't know if I will need 1000 servers or none. EC2 allows me to scale up/down fairly easy, and only spend the money on compute power that I really need. This is so much better than the old days of spending $1,000 on a physical server, paying for software licensing directly, etc.

  ### 33. AWS has great services

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashutosh R. | Data Engineer III, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Amazon EC2?**

Glue service is a very good service and has a lot of advantages like we can execute spark programs in glue and it is a server less service so you can spin the cluster on demand

**What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?**

I disliked the lamda service which has a execution limit of only 15 mins.if we want to execute a simple copy which does not require to spin spark cluster then we face problem

**What problems is Amazon EC2 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides on demand serverless services and managed services which AWS will handle for you and you don't need to take care of infra related issues and just take care of development

  ### 34. Review on Amazon EC2

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ajinkya M. | DevOps Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Amazon EC2?**

Amazon EC2 is available with different types of OS. We can decide on instance type as per our requirement. Attached Disk type also we can scale up as per our usage increase.
Also provided us with different categories of instance options on 1. Demand 2. spot instances 3. reserved instances so it helps us in cost saving.
we also integrate instances with s3 bucket,RDS.Lambda function,DynamoDB etc
It is easy to use for developers to setup multiple sites on it by installing required packages on it.

**What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?**

The most important drawback is the need for careful monitoring and optimization and a learning curve associated with understanding its full capabilities.

**What problems is Amazon EC2 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

need to monitor vms CPU,RAM,Disk usage to avoid overcosting in build suggestion feature absent like GCP.

  ### 35. Data storage and handling using aws cloud

only one thing i dislike that sometimes its getting down by itself

**What problems is Amazon EC2 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As i learner i want o run a reporting tool on server . so the server problem with cheap amount is solevd by using aws ec2 instance. now i'm running my jasperserver on that instance.

  ### 37. Fly to AWS Cloud - Challenges Appear Small

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manoj K. | Site Reliability Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Amazon EC2?**

I have been exposed to multiple cloud vendors and what makes AWS special is its VISIBILITY and USER-FRIENDLY. Right from college students to software professionals no matter in what domain (AI, Data-Analytics, Development) they are working and the level of expertise they have AWS provides that ease of adapting.

Sometimes you miss micro details/settings which will create a lot of chaos at delivery but AWS enables that and some of the services force you to change for better delivery.

As an infrastructure engineer, my main concern is Monitoring the resources and tracing. AWS - CLOUDWATCH which integrates with all the AWS services and provides me with a detailed level of monitoring. Hence I should not rely on any other third-party software maintenance.

**What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?**

AWS cloud doesn't compromise on pricing compared to other competitors in the market. This causes companies to migrate to different cloud vendors. AWS has Geographical constraints that restrict users from launching their resources in certain zones which may result in latency.

**What problems is Amazon EC2 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AWS cloud really helps us to deliver our product to customers with high scalability and availability, also There is no more headache in managing our data center rather we can focus on our product development more.

AWS cloud offers various services like Amazon EC2, S3,compute storage , analytics, Databases, IoT ,all are highly scalable , reliable and can be integrate with other cloud services.

**What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?**

its pricing structure is sometimes complex .

**What problems is Amazon EC2 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

its highly cost effective and can be easily integrate with other services.

  ### 40. Easily better than other cloud service providers

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Amazon EC2?**

Compared to other cloud providers I find AWS's console and UI much easier to work with and intuitive. Even if I have to work with a new service things seemed in aws ,but I can't say the same about other cloud providers

**What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?**

I find some of the sevices too costly for long-term use

**What problems is Amazon EC2 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves infra problems. I personally find it's easier to both do deployments in AWS and maintain the deployments. Even billing and cost management is transparent

  ### 41. Really easy to manage VPS

Really easy to manage with plenty of funcionalities. Thanks to advanced functions, it can be scaled on the need basis and available from the smallest project, to the biggest deployment. Deffinitly a good production environment.

**What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?**

I would love to see a simple pricing/prediction in the management/admin panel.

**What problems is Amazon EC2 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I didn't have to build my own big data centre. Just no need for that. Thanks to this solution, I can work from wherever I want.

  ### 42. Amazing VM Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mahinsha N. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Amazon EC2?**

We can easily deploy an EC2 instance without any prior knowledge about AWS console. It is also possible to access via SSH and create firewall policies. The best part is that it allows us to take an AMI - Machine Image that we can use as an image for creating another instance. It is also easy to integrate this with any other machines, such as cluster application. It is also easy to implement a project. Our clients are using multiple instances as for trial, test and production enviroment which is used frequently. We never experience any trouble so far, even once we cameacross a glitch but it was resolved the support team instantly. Great service!

**What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?**

There is nothing I dislike. So far, I am really impressed with all the features.

**What problems is Amazon EC2 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Deploying a VPS is very expensive. We were using multiple VPS for test and prod environments. Once we switched to AWS, it became very easy and efficient.

  ### 43. The Best AWS Web Service to learn in Pursuing Dev Ops

What I like about Amazon EC2 product is that it gives me a 1 year free tier account which gives me low cost web hosting account and best way to experience on how to manage Web hosting and How to be secure online.

**What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?**

The Downside is that it is hard to understant specially if you have 0 knowledge in this Web Service, Having a wrong choice could lead to error in creating and hosting your site.

**What problems is Amazon EC2 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Amazon EC2 solved my problem in finding the write hosting service and I benefit from it by using thier product and making my websites online.

  ### 44. Been Using AWS for almost 10 Years

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Amazon EC2?**

The global infrastructure and the available resources and integrations.

**What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?**

Not much. Our only real issue is the time it takes for all resources to be available in a new region.

**What problems is Amazon EC2 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to provide our software as a service to our users.

  ### 45. I have been using Amazon EC2 since 2015

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sadaham R. | Senior DevOps Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Amazon EC2?**

A wide variety of EC2 Vm's are readily available for purchase, and their pricing is exceptionally competitive. It is user-friendly via GUI, CLI, and SDK as well.

**What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?**

There are numerous categories of use cases for EC2, and the pricing structure for each is unique. Determining the optimal EC2 instance for every use case is a challenging one.

**What problems is Amazon EC2 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

EC2 assists me in numerous ways as a graduate student and DevOps engineer. Their pricing is what makes these EC2 instances so attractive. I am able to select the precise EC2 instance with the required RAM and CPU for my task. Despite my expertise as a devops engineer, my clients are still cost-conscious. Furthermore, should I fail to select the most suitable EC2 instance for my specific use case, I can immediately terminate the current instance and generate a new one.

  ### 46. Amazon Web Services' EC2 provides low-cost and free web hosting services

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** solayman h. | Lead Generation Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Amazon EC2?**

it is simple to use and highly configurable is the finest in its class. The nicest part, in my opinion, is that you have access to a large number of AWS images from which you may build your own instance, ranging from Windows to Linux. There are numerous Linux and Windows distributions available, each with pre-installed software for specific purposes. It offers a free tier of 750 hours per month of micro instances, which I imagine is quite appealing to novice customers, particularly those still learning about cloud infrastructures. Another wonderful feature I discovered is that you can scale up or down the elastic block store (EBS) as needed, and you can even disable EBS if the instance is not currently running. It's fantastic that they've been discovered.

**What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?**

There are no dislikes for the overall Amazon Web Offerings (AWS) services. However, because the services are very flexible and intergrable, one must learn and comprehend a great deal.

**What problems is Amazon EC2 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've built our cloud infrastructure in an EC2 instance and hosted numerous backends. I've used it to train Machine Learning models that require a lot of computing, a lot of GPU power, and, most importantly, a lot of uptime

  ### 47. AWS : A new era of computing.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gaurav B. | Data Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Amazon EC2?**

I have been using AWS for quite some time now. It is one of the most useful and powerful cloud service provider in the world.

1.) It comes with simple and easy to understand UI.
2.) AWS provides more than 200 services for IAAS, PAAS and SAAS.
3.) AWS is mostly known for its two services, EC2 and S3 for cloud instances and storing infinite(theoritically) amont of data.
4.) AWS plays key role in rapid development in IT infrastrure for any company.

**What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?**

1.) While using AWS, you need to be very careful with the services you are using because some services are costly and can only be afforded by big companies.

**What problems is Amazon EC2 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1.) We did not need to buy expensive machines for running our scheduled task, we used EC2 instances for that.
2.) We are using AWS Redshift/RDS/Arora for our data warehousing needs.
3.) We store tera bytes of data in AWS S3.

  ### 48. Best Cloud Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** HEMANT S. | Senior Software Engineer I - DevOps, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Amazon EC2?**

AWS is very vast first of all. AWS is greate Cloud service provider it has more than 1600 service available and most service that I use are the EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, CloudFront, SNS, SES etc..
I am an AWS certified associate. I really love working on AWS platform.

**What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?**

Frequest changes in the UI causes lilttle difficulty in day to day tasks untill we get used to for the New UI. however there is always an option is available to switch back to old UI.

**What problems is Amazon EC2 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AWS is helping our client to setup the compute power on the cloud instead of setup whole thing at the onpermise datacenter this saves alot of the upfront purchase cost and regular maintenance cost for the hardware resources. also there is high availablity of all the services.

  ### 49. Best Tool to set up and deploy servers Fast!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Amazon EC2?**

Amazon EC2 enables our team to quickly launch any server without the need for technical expertise. We can select the Operating System as there are a lot of options available to choose from. The best thing I like is we can run a trial of our chosen server to test if everything is as per our expectations.
The other good thing about EC2 is that we have a variety of servers available and we can also choose the region (data center) from where we wish to set up the server

**What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?**

Although it gives a lot of options there is no reminder that can be set up to terminate the instance in which it is kept running leading to unexpected costs. We have faced this issue multiple times in the past where the instance keeps running considering when we manage a lot of servers

**What problems is Amazon EC2 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a software product company and our software gets installed on servers like Windows, Debian, RHEL, and Ubuntu including their different versions. We as the technical support team get tickets saying the software is not running properly on a certain server on a specific version. We then use EC2 to quickly deploy the server, install our software on it, and troubleshoot the issue. With easy process of server instances, EC2 enables my team to work simultaneously on multiple tickets

  ### 50. Most powerful and versatile of the big 3!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Amazon EC2?**

It's simplicity of the console UI. It is very intuitive to navigate, and theit products are easy to configure on there directly. CLI and IaC tools can be used for repetative tasks, but the console is so easy to use for the quick-n-dirty things you need to get done.

**What do you dislike about Amazon EC2?**

The naming convention of the services. When AWS first got started it was OK, because while there was a lot of services out of the gate, they were managable. Now, however, it has grown to having so many services and the naming conventions for them are not intuative to what they do. As a result, when new things pop up you have no idea what they are until you have done some research because you can't quickly tell what the intent is based on the name of the service.

**What problems is Amazon EC2 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Too many things to count! AWS is fantastic for spinning up infrastructure and managed services quickly, and tear them down just as quick, allowing for rapid and agile testing and development. It also allows you to manage former "data center" activities with very small staff, and in cost efficient manors.
