What do you dislike about Amazon EC2 Systems Manager? The console interface is very restrictive. It is difficult to switch between regions for easily managing multiple environments. There is no way to recover from hardware "faults" that may occur on start-up, requiring a very expensive process to recover machines that may only need to do a quick fsck scan, for example.
