Back in the old days, you develop Java, you just use Oracle's JDK. Then came a day that Oracle changed their license terms, you can no longer distribute their JDK with your Java software. Everyone had to rush to find a replacement that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. That was the chance for Amazon Corretto to shine. Previously unknown, it was virtually overnight that Amazon Corretto is on the conversation of everyone in the Java world. They developed an Open source JDK, which is free and not any cost for using it. Its extra feature is it will run on almost every OS like windows, Linux & MAC.
