It fits smoothly into CI/CD pipelines and integrates well java development, reliable across different operating systems, and simply works without any hassle. What do you dislike about Amazon Corretto? The main drawback is that it lacks the extensive performance monitoring and management tools found in Oracle commercial JVMs. If you require built-in enterprise features, you’ll have to rely on third-party solutions. Additionally, the documentation tends to be rather basic, mostly covering installation. While it works very well for typical use cases, advanced users may find it falls short in providing in-depth tuning insights. Customer support is limited unless you are a premium user. Amazon Corretto has eliminated the licensing and maintenance challenges that came after Oracle JDK changed its support model. With its free, production-ready OpenJDK build and long-term security updates, I no longer need to be concerned about unexpected expenses or running unsupported runtime versions. Corretto also brings consistency to our Java environment across development, testing, and production, which helps prevent version mismatches and minimizes deployment problems.
