With trend in market, there are tools which gives out of box so many dashboards, anamolies, alerts, integrations, overall visibility about no# of logs, error count as a single panel which is good for someone who is managing overall infra to get a visibility/status. What problems is Amazon CloudWatch solving and how is that benefiting you?

Not much, any organisation now a days uses 10+ AWS accounts, however for one to monitor, we need single account which gives consilidated view of logs/monitoring. Cloudwatch is so distributed that its impossible for one to get a global view. It could be good for individual user, but not good for a team who manages all the accounts and regions. What do you like best about Amazon CloudWatch?

AWS cloudwatch helps you monitor your aws services in realtime and maintain logs for them. With cloudwatch you can create metrics and charts over these logs and also add thresholds and alarms so that if some anamoly happens you can see the alarm and react quickly Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon CloudWatch?

Cloudwatch takes time to learn and to get the full use of it. Also cloudwatch don't support to add aggregation alarms and only support text form alarms and even that' snot very accurate. Cloudwatch log stream is not always on time. It might happen that some even occur and cloudwatch create an event for it after 30 mins and that can cause problems. What problems is Amazon CloudWatch solving and how is that benefiting you?

Cloudwatch helps to create metrics and charts over aws services like ec2 machines and emr. Cloudwatch also helps us to see in details taht what heppend to the aws service in case if something fails and that gives us better understaing of our system and make it even more robust.
