What do you dislike about Amazon CloudSearch? Cost, it is a little expensive. Free trial is only one month. I wish they had some sort Free Tier like dynamodb, s3 & others. Also reindexing takes hell lot of time. There is no way to disable/deactivate/pause the search subscription. I wish there was a way. We are a start up (4 friends working full time on other job & trying to build an amazing app on the side), its been under development for last 2 years, i have been paying for the last 2 years, even though the app is not LIVE yet. i wish there was a way to pause subscription instead of deleting the whole index & recreate when needed Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Amazon CloudSearch: if you are an AWS user looking for search, easiest way to get search on your app is cloudsearch. We are a startup (4 friends trying to build an amazing app), we have integrated cloudsearch & trying to have a search on the app to return all the data we have along with filters. We have triggers & lambda function set up on dynamodb tables, which would automatically sync changes from dynamoDB to cloudsearch. Easy way to sync data between DynamodDB to Cloud Search. There were many times when I was trying to log in where I knew my log in information was correct and the program still would not log me in for hours at a time.
