Missing a key concept for custom authorization **Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2018 **What do you like best about Amazon API Gateway?** I do like that for simple cases and for low maintance I can skip the need to building a app/webserver. **What do you dislike about Amazon API Gateway?** My usecase was going to requiring HMAC signature validation for a signed requests. This isn't built in to the product but they offer a custom lambda authorizer. However, unless you manage to carefully read the docs you'll likey find out much later in your process that a custom lambda authorizer doesn't get the body of a request.
