Amazee.io's Lando-GitHub-Lagoon deployment workflow has been a real eye-opener for our small agency, having previously only used traditional hosting setups. We looked at all the main Drupal PaaS providers and were most impressed with how well Amazee understood our needs, how easy they are to communicate with, and their simple and transparent pricing structure. We were hand-held throughout the onboarding process and made to feel like Amazee are an extension of our own team. If you're not used to working in the CLI/Terminal then it might be a bit of a steep learning curve since most of the Lagoon configuration is done this way, but once you wrap your head around it it becomes second nature! Our goal was to outsource our WebOps to allow us to focus our time on application development in the knowledge that the infrastructure side is being proactively managed. It is a really good experience to have Amazee as partner on our side" 5/5 What do you like best about amazee.io? We are collaborating since five years with Amazee who hosts clients drupal projects for us. As a partner they offer us technical account managers who supports us in all questions, where software development meets hosting. They are flexible and be able to step into even promptly if needed. Amazee allows us to focus on clients needs and on developing software. We have regular meetings with a Customer Success Manager who is interested in our needs and supports us in developing all hosting related business. Not a big thing: I am interested to get invoices more early. Sometimes it seems as if they don't need our money and so we sometimes have to pay penalty interests to our bank :-) On the other hand this make me feel that they burn primarily for their service and do not act just for economic reasons. We don't want to be involved in any hosting issues, which would make is necessary for us to have 24/7 availability of devops specialists inhouse. As the managing director and technical co-founder of Workshop Orange - a SME focused digital agency - I love that I can pitch the Lagoon hosting platform to my clients and confidently know that amazee.io will deliver on my promises. Scaling on Lagoon is easy. I also love that with the recently released "Insights" tools, my customer's docker images are scanned for security vulnerabilities. But best of all...? I love that the project is open source. We can see the code, we get to provide steering and input from the field through the Github issue queues. Its almost like we have our own hosting team! In a nutshell - our collaboration with amazee.io means that we can focus on our customers, while amazee.io has our back on the web infrastructure side. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about amazee.io? The amazee.io team has prioritized platform features and platform stability over UI features. This is the right call, but it means that the user-interface is somewhat limited. We use the amazee.io Lagoon platform to host a web-interface for one of our own SaaS applications that is in development, as well as using it to host our customer's web-applications which we build in Laravel (mostly using Jetpack with Livewire). Although Lagoon was primarily used to host Drupal sites, we're astonished at how great the Laravel support is. The major benefit from a technical perspective is that Redis, Mariadb, persistent file storage, it all just kinda works. On Github, you can find example applications that give you a quick start as a developer, without the need to read all of the documentation. The engineers at Amazee are very helpful, in December 2020 we were doing a shift from openshift to kubernetes on the US cluster. They helped us through the process, provided us with a test environment, and gave us enough time to test our application on Kubernetes.
