**What do you like best about Altoura 360?**

Altoura's no-code authoring is what I valued most. I have a technical background, but not in CAD or game engines — so the no-code piece meant I could build immersive, VR-based training myself without waiting on a dev team or a 3D artist. Turning our existing SOPs and procedures into interactive, hands-on training was straightforward, and being able to iterate on that content in-house meant we could keep it current as processes changed. It put training creation in the hands of the people who actually understand the work, instead of routing everything through a specialized production team.

**What do you dislike about Altoura 360?**

If I had to point to something, it's the pace of feature releases. Altoura ships new capabilities in the no-code authoring platform faster than most teams can realistically absorb — by the time we'd fully processed how to use one new feature in our workflow, two more had shipped. It's a good problem to have compared to a platform that stagnates, but it did mean we had to be intentional about not chasing every release and instead pacing our own adoption.

What made this easier to live with: their customer service team actually closes the loop. Feedback we raised got incorporated into upcoming sprints, and when something wasn't going to be built, they told us directly and explained why instead of leaving it in permanent limbo.

**What problems is Altoura 360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our service teams maintain large, complex equipment that lives on our customers' sites — not in our own facility. That equipment is often hazardous, and it's usually critical to the customer's operations, so there's very little room for error. We weren't training people on routine daily tasks; this was infrequent, high-stakes maintenance — think bi-annual service intervals on equipment where a mistake doesn't just cost us money, it can shut down the customer's operations entirely, or worse, cause an injury that reflects on both companies.

Before Altoura, the only way to practice that kind of procedure was live, on real equipment, at a customer's site — which meant the first time someone worked through certain steps was often the first time it actually mattered. With Altoura we could build realistic VR training for that specific equipment and let technicians rehearse the high-risk, low-frequency procedures as many times as they needed, in a safe environment, before ever doing it live. That changed the risk profile of sending someone out for critical maintenance. And because a non-technical team could own the content and update it as procedures changed, we could update it ourselves the moment a procedure changed, instead of putting in a request and waiting in line behind whatever the technical team's priorities were that quarter.
