I really like how easy it is to make a PCB in CircuitMaker. I have used Altium Desinger before, and I like how I can use this software with a similar design flow. The other things I love are the cloud integration, and the plugin with Fusion 360, similar to MCAD Codesigner. If you are looing for software to design simple PCBs, this is for you! The application appears to be built off of Altium desinger, but it is missing lots of the same features. I get that they want you to pay for the better software, but some of the key interface elements are in different locations, so it is a bit difficult to switch between the two. The UI and workflow is similar to Altium Designer as it supports a real PCB level design not just simplified circuit drawing. Octopart and Altium's component libraries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not ideal for proprietary or even semi sensitive work. Saving and loading work relies on internet connectivity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Very wide library and very easy to learn. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Found PCB design functions a bit hard to use, but may be due to my lack of experience on this field. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Altium CircuitMaker contains many features also found in Altium Designer, which makes it a great learning tool and a stepping stone to deciding if Altium Designer is worthwhile. It isn't really missing any major features that makes this unusable for most users.
Additionally, it's really refreshing that such a polished ECAD program is available for free to makers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
KiCAD was my first and most used ECAD program before CircuitMaker. A simple way to import KiCAD project files into CircuitMaker with minimal work would be a worthwhile feature.
Another thing I dislike is that it's only for Windows operating systems. I use a Macbook for personal use at home, so I have to start up a Windows session on my MacBook to be able to use CircuitMaker Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We're glad to hear that you find Altium CircuitMaker to be a great learning tool and a valuable resource for makers. We appreciate your feedback about the features and the availability of a free ECAD program.
