I find Altair SimSolid very user-friendly, which makes it easy to navigate and use effectively. The initial setup was very easy, which was a pleasant surprise. It has really sped up the current process for me and helps democratize our work. I also use it for the quick evaluation of new designs and quick iterative work, particularly in calculating normal modes and evaluating stiffness through quick structural simulations using pressure. I like that Altair SimSolid is much faster than traditional FEA for pre-calculations, working on geometry without relying on the mesh. The independence from the mesh makes it much faster and allows working without simplifications regarding the original geometry. I also found that the initial setup is easy. Moreover, the geometry has to be almost in a 'final' state. In my environment, we need a lot of welds and our CADs come with the welding preparations already in the geometry.
