"Excellent design optimization tool"
4/5
What do you like best about Altair Inspire?

Novel user interface, icons that clearly illustrate engineering concepts, CAD-style interactions and behavior, easy to interpret and use results, a lot of intelligent features the CAE community has been wanting for years Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Altair Inspire?

Some features and interactions not intuitive, Not always obvious when you have selected a tool and are in a particular 'context', Infrequent bugs and crashes, Compatibility with complex models can be iffy Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great tool to experiment"
3/5
What do you like best about Altair Inspire?

User Interface is very good. It helps to clearly find the commands you need. Topology Optimization option helps to make design lightweight! You can do different values, experiment and see the results for better understanding or validation with FEA. Super easy to use Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Altair Inspire?

Not so smooth results after implementing Topology Optimization on the CAD geometry: You might need to do additional smoothening steps. Also if you have a FEA check in mind, it won't do TopOpt optimally with that, you will need to do it manually Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good UI and easy to learn"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Altair Inspire?

Unlike most engineering software which are difficult to learn and use, the solid thinking package offers good functionality with intuitive UI and rich documentation. An engineering could learn to use the software and produce meaningful and beautiful results in just a few days. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Altair Inspire?

Inspire hides a bunch of technical details that are relevant to generate good computational results. This may not be bad for a beginner. However, such deliberate simplification could be a deal breaker for more experienced users who require deep customisation on solution procedures. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to use, but powerful tool"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Altair Inspire?

I like the ease-of-use in terms of importing a CAD, setting up basic loads, viewing the optimized results, and exporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Altair Inspire?

The odd gui. The tools are used by clicking specific parts of an icon on the toolbar, and the lack of details in the progress section for running simulations. Also the results menu is hard to navigate/clearly (see all the runs made), and the app often crashes on load or opening a complex part. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"TOPOLOGY OPTIMIZATION TO MINIMIZE THE MASS"
4/5
What do you like best about Altair Inspire?

I like the simplicity of the interface. You can import neutral files and work without difficulty.

I like so much the possibility to run more load cases with one optimization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Altair Inspire?

I don't like the difficulty that you met when change the material after that you run the optimization and the fact that you have to rebuilt almost entirely the solid with manual operation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to learn and functional"
4/5
What do you like best about Altair Inspire?

For creating additive manufacturing optimized designs (SLM) this is the perfect choice. Easy to learn, fast way to optimized geometries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Altair Inspire?

Can cause problems when shaping the CAD with polynurbs - possibly because my PC is not good enough. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
