Altair Feko™ is a high-frequency electromagnetic simulation software used for antenna design, placement and system-level analysis in complex environments. It enables multi-scale electromagnetic simulation, design and optimization, from RF components and antennas to full systems and real-world scenarios. Altair Feko is widely used to address challenges in wireless connectivity, electromagnetic compatibility (EMI/EMC) and radar analysis, particularly for electrically large and complex problems, and can be extended to broader connectivity workflows through integrated modules. Key capabilities • Multiple solvers in one environment: A broad range of methods (MoM, FEM, PO, MLFMM, etc.) are integrated within a single platform, enabling flexibility and cross-validation. • Advanced hybrid solver technology: Efficiently combines different numerical methods to solve complex, electrically large models that are difficult to address with a single solver. • Scalable performance: Supports parallel computing across multi-core CPUs and GPU acceleration to efficiently handle large-scale simulations. • Antenna integration and system-level analysis: Enables realistic modeling of antennas on complex platforms, including full-system electromagnetic interactions. • Specialized applications: Includes capabilities for characteristic mode analysis (CMA), cable modeling, EMI/EMC studies, radar cross section (RCS), and wireless propagation. Also supports wireless coverage and spectrum management through integrated modules such as WinProp™ and WRAP™. • Optimization and automation: Supports design exploration and automation through parameter studies, optimization workflows and integration with high-performance computing (HPC). • End-to-end electromagnetic workflows: Covers the full simulation process from geometry preparation and antenna modeling to system-level analysis and post-processing.
