**What do you like best about Almabase?**

Working with Almabase has been a great experience for us so far. They are very responsive when it comes to any questions that we have, whether it is via phone call or email. Right now we have monthly phone calls scheduled with our immediate rep and he is continuously working to help make things better for us.

Please note that the amount of users that have joined out platform isn't a valid number because we haven't fully rolled out the platform yet! (No fault to Almabase! Our team has undergone some transitions, which has postponed our roll out date!)

There isn't anything that we currently dislike about Almabase.

**What problems is Almabase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If there has been anything that hasn't worked for us or wasn't available they have been very responsive to help us fix the issue or work on implementing what it is that we needed.

**What do you like best about Almabase?**

Almabase is extremely user friendly and easy to manage from a backend perspective. A lot of the site is customizable and the customer support team is always there to work with you through any issues you have. It is also extremely easy to integrate to our database at the school, which was super valuable.

**What do you dislike about Almabase?**

There's honestly and truly nothin that I dislike. The team at Almabase is always on working on new ways to improve their site, and will even take suggestions when you'd like to see something happen.

**What problems is Almabase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Almabase has allowed out Alumni network to stay connected to the school and to each other. It also gave us an additional way of collecting contact information, posting news, hosting events, and more.

**What do you like best about Almabase?**

Our favorite feature is the directory search by map. 
The team at Almabase is responsive with our questions, and helpful in making sure we are making the most of the product.

**What do you dislike about Almabase?**

We would like the pages on Almabase to be more customizable and a news feed would be a great addition.

**What problems is Almabase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been able to connect with alumni who have not been engaged with our office for decades. With Facebook/LinkedIn signups, integration with Raiser's Edge, and alumni able to update contact information on their profile, collecting contact data is more efficient.

**What do you like best about Almabase?**

Almabase is very intuitive and easy to implement.  Most importantly for us, it integrates with Raiser's Edge seamlessly!

**What do you dislike about Almabase?**

I wish wish we were able to customize the home screen slightly more.  At the moment, we are unable to accept recurring gifts with our Blackbaud Merchant Account, but this is a minor issue.

**What problems is Almabase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Staying connected with our graduates who have moved on is a big help.  We aren't affiliated with the university, but need a way to stay connected with the students who are involved with our ministry.

**What do you like best about Almabase?**

We have been using Almabase for a  few years now as our alumni engagement  platform. We were one of the first users  of Almabase and the support provided by the team has been amazing! We are able to use the platform for  creating alumni directory, hosting  events, creating fundraising pages, job posting etc. The Almabase team is always open to user feedback and develop features that are most relevant on a regular basis which we appreciate. Also, the team is very responsive which makes back and forth communication very easy.

**What do you dislike about Almabase?**

Services provided are of  high quality for the existing platform and  features. We would love to have a mobile app to increase the engagement among the uses.

**Recommendations to others considering Almabase:**

Apart from the basic features offered that are well known, make sure to talk to the  team  to consult on your specific needs. The team will help you figure out the best ways to tackle your  requirements.

**What problems is Almabase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We  really like the ease of customization of most pages with the  appropriate security. The most used features are hosting  fundraising events,  hosting ticketed events, alumni communication, news and updates on regular basis.

**What do you like best about Almabase?**

Almabase has been a great database and networking platform for our NASA internship program's alumni. Our alumni like that they can update their data and communicate across groups, we like that we can keep track of their accomplishments and organize alumni events through the platform. Also, the Almabase team has been really responsive to any questions or issues that came up.

We don't have any complaints about our site so far!

Keeping track of the accomplishments of our alumni is incredibly important for our program and this platform helps us do that easily.

During COVID, Almabase was offering a no-risk trial of their Peer-to-Peer solution.  The customer service, help to learn the system, interface were all solid.  Was a good experience and will consider using more fully in the future.

Nothing, found it to be a good tool.....

**What do you like best about Almabase?**

Having a 48 campaign with Almabase resulted in our raising almost double the amount we had initially anticipated. The leaderboard created a fun sense of competition between the teams to try and raise more, propelling them to keep emailing and calling friends and family.

The detailed attention and support made us feel like ours was the only campaign running during that giving Tuesday in May!

**What do you dislike about Almabase?**

To be honest, nothing. It worked great on all fronts!

**What problems is Almabase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was great that the tax deductible receipts where automatically generated and sent to the donors, so that we did not have to deal with all those receipts after the campaign was over.

**What do you like best about Almabase?**

An easy to use portal for both the alumni as well as the staff behind the scenes. Great customer service.

**What do you dislike about Almabase?**

I don't see any downsides. The only part is that I wish we would not have to purchase an additional module for a more robust giving site but other than that, it is a GREAT tool to have.

**Recommendations to others considering Almabase:**

Highly recommend. They have really good customer service and most importantly if you see something that you think could make it better they are very nimble in either making it happen or incorporating it into up coming new features


**What problems is Almabase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the most important aspects for us as staff is the back and forth integration of Almabase and our Raisers Edge. We are able to capture the most up to date information-the key is to keep driving alums to the site. Our alums have been asking for a site in which they can share information and this is the perfect tool to do so.

I appreciate the response time of the customer service during implementation and after. I appreciate the user friendly interface and clean look and feel of the template.

**What do you dislike about Almabase?**

With all templates there are limitations to customization. However, I would appreciate more flexibility.

It assists in engagement for distant constituents, allows for a consistent look and feel for branding our alumni group. A secure place to house contact information and allow constituents to reach out to one another.

The product itself is super easy to use and the customer service is top-notch. Map feature is impressive and the email capabilities make it so much easier for us to stay in touch with alumni.

No complaints here. Everything has been great so far.

Almabase gives us a tangible and high-quality benefit to provide our alumni. It's a useful tool that not only helps keep our alumni connected, but it gives them networking/career capabilities that they desire. The email capabilities in Almabase are so much easier to use than products like Constant Contact, too. It allows us to easily target certain classes, alumni by location and more. The Engagement Snapshot on each alum's page allows us to easily see how connected each alum is as well. We feel better connected to our alumni because of Almabase.

**What do you like best about Almabase?**

We initially reached out to Almabase because I wanted an alumni directory, we had an excel spreadsheet exported from Raiser's Edge which was challenging to update since we had directory information (email, phone, job listing, education info, etc). Almabase gave us a great solution by having an alumni directory which alumni are invited to so they can edit/update their profile which saves us time. It also syncs with Linkedin so when they get new jobs, it updates automatically. It has a job board, alumni map, mentoring system, student directory, notable alumni, giving platform with fundraising capabilities, email system, feeds from our social media, and so much more. It exceeded our expectations and expanded what we can do. 

**What do you dislike about Almabase?**

I love it. The customer service has been amazing, they are always available via chat, email or phone. I didn't see this level of service in other companies, the team at Almabase really care about users and making sure that they can build a product that aligns with your needs.

**Recommendations to others considering Almabase:**

Graduway is most similar but I was drawn to the increased functionality that Almabase offers like the job board/mentoring platform. 

**What problems is Almabase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- we now don't have to use excel, the alumni directory is so much easier since it's similar to a facebook profile so it visually is easier to work with
- students have been able to look up which alumni they want to guest speak or communicate with
- students have found mentors through the system
- it's given us a way to keep track of what jobs our alumni have for data purposes
- the map is helpful for students going to conferences, they can easily see if there is an alumni in the town they are going to

**What do you like best about Almabase?**

Almabase enables us to engage with our current scholars and reconnect with former participants through an online and in-person community of health care professionals and pre-professionals. The platform showcases the member-exclusive benefits from discount rates for events and professional services to utilizing customized features as search directory in finding others who share the same career aspirations. It’s also easy to send bulk email via the communication center or able to see traffic attributed to the campaigns too. Top of the list is the superb and timely responses of the team! We are a challenging customer because we integrate several platforms with Almabase to push it beyond its normal usage, and their team provided outstanding and creative consulting throughout the integration process.

**What do you dislike about Almabase?**

Our users could not interact with each other on the platform since the current group feature is a bit restricted and needs group admin intervention. Events can’t be restricted by membership. Mentorship modules could not be customized to fit our needs.

Strongly recommend Almabase and be sure to ask for a product demo and what the team can do for you

Almabase gives us the platform for our network and offers a unique opportunity to connect with current program participants and former alumni, allowing them to find, connect and form groups with each other. Managing communication is the biggest gain since launching our platform only 1 month ago.

**What do you like best about Almabase?**

Comprehensive website development for alumni database and day of giving promotion.  The customer support is outstanding.  For our day of giving we had live customer support throughout our 24 hours of giving.  We had no technical issues with the Almabase product during a day with 1000 donors generating close to $250,000 of gifts.  We received instant support correcting user errors from the donor end, and with up to the minute reporting.  

**What do you dislike about Almabase?**

We enjoy every aspect of the progams we use.  The communications tools in the alumni database are excellent.  Our only issues involve interest in some additional functionality - for example, we would like scrolling notices as an option, currently notices change by toggling.  

**Recommendations to others considering Almabase:**

If considering Almabase, make sure to take a full meeting with the Almabase team.  While a number of alumni database products are similiar in features, I believe you will be impressed by the level of support provided by Almabase.

**What problems is Almabase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

On the alumni side - Almabase has helped us create a site where alums can connect for jobs and mentorships.  We have an extensive alumni network.  With Almabase's help we are maximizing the value of this network.
On the giving side - Almabase has helped us automate data collection and update reporting on our most impactful annual day of giving.  The day has always been successful, but we feel our outstanding success this year was definitely enhanced by bringing Almabase on board to create our giving site.

Almabase provides numerous ways to engage with program alumni, including email campaigns, interactive communities, donor campaigns, career opportunity boards, and more. These options allow us to create a tailored, meaningful experience for over 9,000 alumni from 165+ countries.

**What do you dislike about Almabase?**

We would like to see an integrative app where students can directly chat with each other  (similar to WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger).

**What problems is Almabase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are currently working with Almabase to create an automated experience for students to join communities. Previously we had created private Facebook groups and manually approved thousands of requests from summer program participants. Almabase has worked to make this approval process automated through its community feature, saving us time and effort.

The most helpful for us is we are finding lost alumni that have reconnected. The upsides of Almabase is the fast communication when you have questions. The learning curve for me was a little longer, but once I figured it out, it was an Aha! moment.

The least helpful is sometimes I don't understand the directions and the graphics are hard to see.

Check out Almabase if you are looking for an alumni networking company. If you have a question about something, they will answer it and even offer other suggestions.

Almabase is still new to our organization. We are excited for the opportunities that will help our alumni connect with us or reconnect with us.

Almabase has helped us to re-launch an otherwise dormant alumni engagement program, offering new and more useful ways for our alumni to communicate and interact with one another, through affinity groups, job and intership sharing, mentorship opportunities and more!

**What do you dislike about Almabase?**

There is so much potential for this software that they are still building onto it, but have been extremely responsive to user feedback.

For the first time in many years, our alumni are communicating with us, utilizing tools we can provide them, and they are excited to use the platform, which makes it easier for us as staff to engage with them for volunteer roles, annual fund giving asks, and tailoring event offerings to their wants/needs.

Almabase is the perfect solution for our very small alumni and development shop. Their customer service is second to none. They reply so quickly to every inquiry and often adapt to meet the needs of their customers. They are truly focused to making their customers happy.

There is nothing at this time that I dislike.

Almabase is the perfect tool for small shops looking to improve the efficiency of their work.

Our office consists of 9 total employees with one person (myself) handling all alumni and family relations programming. Almabase has allowed me to work more efficiently and engage more alumni and constituents while I do that. We particular love the event management, giving platform, and email tools.

The professional look of the site.  The product is very functional and intuitive. The alumni map is a hit.

**What do you dislike about Almabase?**

All in all we are very happy with this product.

**What problems is Almabase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The site is helping us keep our email database up to date. We are reconnecting with alumni that had not been involved in some time. All of the material we produce (emails, newsletters, etc.) is of a higher quality.

**What do you like best about Almabase?**

I appreciate that there is now a "push" for AlmaBase and Raiser's Edge (our CRM) to communicate daily.  This allows me to update Alumni addresses within a day of the initial change.  Very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Almabase?**

Unfortunately, the push notifications only communicate one way:  changes from Almabase are updated in Raiser's Edge but Raiser's Edge does not update Almabase automatically.  This is a Blackbaud issue, though, not AlmaBase.

**Recommendations to others considering Almabase:**

Almabase does integrate with Raiser's Edge at our company but the search under Do you integrate Almbase with any other software did not show any results.

**What problems is Almabase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives Alumni a platform to contact one another, post updates, photos, find classmates, post jobs, etc.  Since it is only available to members of the Alumni Association, it is also a selling tool for memberships.

**What do you like best about Almabase?**

Almabase allows our school to interact with our alumni in so many ways. We are able to communicate in beautiful emails, collect registrations for events, share updates, learn about our alumni, and collect donations. 

**What do you dislike about Almabase?**

The only thing we dislike about almabase is the amount of our alumni that have not made profiles, however this is always changing and we are always working on ways to orient them into the platform. 

**What problems is Almabase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Almabase has solved our inability to collect alumni donations in a dynamic way. Almabase has created a seamless way for us to gather up to date information on our alumni. Almabase has provided the platform for posting jobs and opportunities for our alumni.

**What do you like best about Almabase?**

- The platform was up and running quickly. 
- The customer service team is extremely responsive and does their best to accommodate our needs.
- They are also very open to receiving feedback and considering suggestions to improve the software. 
- They often roll out new features and upgrades. 
- It's quick and easy to create new webpages and add content. 
- The software is affordable. 
- Integration of e-communication center to send automated emails. 


**What do you dislike about Almabase?**

- Career Center could use more sorting options for the end user. 
- I would want more page editing space. The box where you create the page is small and you have to scroll to the top to use the editing tools. I've accidentally moved by cursor more than once while scrolling and had to fix a mistake, then do what I was trying to do. 
There is not much not to like, really.

Almabase allows us to connect with our alumni on multiple levels based on interest, class years, university affinities, and social media interaction. It also allows us to communicate intentionally and deliberately with our alumni through targeted emails and our e-newsletter. It saves our team time by streamlining the way that we post to our social media platforms and data-mine the site. This platform also allows for us to include pages for our chapters that have controlled access for the chapter administrators. We can also set-up event registrations, pay portals and interest forms and have the data collected to be imported into Raiser's Edge whenever we want to do that. Almabase directly impacts and helps to facilitate the majority of our office's mission and goals.

**What problems is Almabase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall, the web platform meets our basic needs, but if there was a greater ability to customize it, even a little bit, it would take it to the next level. If you're not coming from an academic institution, I would highly recommend asking a wide variety of questions to ensure it will meet all your needs.

Visually it looks great.  It has all the functionality that we needed to do our work with the alumni community.  This allows my team to streamline our communication and provides a universal location for our alumni to go for both local and national resources, events, and network.  We also receive great support for the Almabase team as we built the platform.  Rohit was always available to answer any questions we had.

I like the fact that we are able to create an online community for our participants (alumni and program participants) and customize many of Almabase's current features to meet our needs. Our experience working with the Almabase team has been very positive. 

**What do you dislike about Almabase?**

There are a few things we'd like to customize a bit more but realize that the primary framework is designed to meet common needs across multiple Almabase clients. It would be great if we could track the career progression of our users on the portal (when they were hired for their first post-grad role, when was their first promotion, how many times were they promoted, etc. and run a report on that information). 

**Recommendations to others considering Almabase:**

The more you know about your current AND future needs the better. Start wide when developing your wishlist of functions and capabilities (internally) and try to narrow it down to offer 5-6 high-level points around your must-haves so the Almabase team can focus on that and start off strong. Share and revisit your larger wishlist so those things are on their radar. They are very good at thinking ahead and about ways in which they can meet future needs for clients.  Also, don't hesitate to offer feedback. They are open and receptive to it...and it helps them to achieve their efforts of building a better product for you (and other clients).  

**What problems is Almabase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've been able to find and reconnect with many alumni, and track their engagement with us (via the platform) in a number of ways. Being able to house our job board on the platform has been extremely useful. Additionally, the benefit of tracking candidates submissions (as an admin) and keep track of positions to which one applies (for users) is priceless. There some customizations we'd like to see here but again, we realize the platform is not built for just nonprofit organizations like ours.

**What do you like best about Almabase?**

The Almabase platform is excellent for communicating with alumni. Their templates and scheduled emails make my job much easier, and being able to create groups to communicate with has been extremely helpful. I also appreciate the timely response of their staff in responding to issues that arise.

**What do you dislike about Almabase?**

There are limited ways for the alumni who have joined the community to interact with one another. It might be valuable to have a group forum or chat feature, similar to a Facebook wall. That might also encourage others to visit and participate on the site.

A big part of what I use this for is communication. This allows me, the director of alumni at a small institution, to manage emailings, newsletters, and other communications without the assistance of a staff. For that reason I consider it invaluable.

Our biggest issue was managing communications with our alumni. This platform has really helped us to solve those issues and create an excellent communications schedule and venue for reaching alumni.

We did a lot of research before signing with Almabase. What appealed to our Advancement Department was the flexibility of the platform and the control our office has over the content. It's fresh, modern, interactive, and engaging. Our alumnae love being able to login using social and our office appreciates being able to customize the menus and add / change pages.

What I dislike is also a like, as once I've brought our feedback to the Almabase team, they work with us to change / update / fix or find a solution. 

I would one day like to have our alumnae see their own personal giving history.

It is fairly user friendly and can be figured out without much direction or explanation.  It is a professional looking site.  I like how it links our social media to the page.  Alumni enjoy seeing the map of where alumni live.

I would like Almabase to interact with Raiser's Edge.  When an alumni updates their contact information in Almabase, I wish it would also update in Raiser's Edge to keep our 2 systems active and accurate.

I also would like to see an Almabase user manual, online tutorial, or even attend a workshop on how to use the website and all it's functions.

Our data is set up differently than what is required for uploading to Almabase.  It is time consuming and makes it difficult to update our records and create email groups.

I really appreciate having one platform for all the various activities of our program and perhaps most importantly the map showing where all our alumni reside.

**What do you dislike about Almabase?**

The response rate from the team had been very slow for a few months after we launched the platform and it felt like we were given a lot of attention until we signed the contract / designed the platform, but were then left on our own without much communication. We've also had a number of issues we had to troubleshoot on the platform.

**Recommendations to others considering Almabase:**

Make sure you think through all the process and communications elements you need from a platform. For us, certain limitations of the platform were crucial and made it tough for us to advocate for its effectiveness since people weren't using it much.  It's not necessarily Almabase's issue, but we would have benefited from a more thorough review of their capabilities.  

**What problems is Almabase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a growing community of alumni from our fellowship program and wanted to find a way to keep everyone connected.  Unfortunately, the platform hasn't been very effective so far.  This is partly on us and the time it takes people to familiarize with/adopt a new platform, but it also has to do with the fact that the platform is not doing some pretty basic things we needed (e.g., sent notifications when people upload their stories) to keep them engaged.

**What do you like best about Almabase?**

Almabase is great for a small, independent school community. It greatly helps us manage alumni contact information and data. We are working directly with Almabase to better adapt their program to fit our needs.

I started in my position a week after my company launched with Almabase and their team was incredibly thorough in working with me to adapt to Almabase. They had just taken the time to set up our portal with my predecessor and they took more time to explain everything to me. 

**What do you dislike about Almabase?**

We wish Almabase would connect with more Blackbaud products as we use eTapestry and cannot directly update data between the two systems. We understand that this is something they are working on and will take time to be compatible with every different donor database system.

**Recommendations to others considering Almabase:**

Although it takes time to learn the ins-and-outs of Almabase -- there are so many components, it's truly endless what you can do -- the customer service experience is out of this world. There is always someone on standby to answer questions and if they don't know the answer, you'll have one within 48 hours at the very latest. They're always willing to listen to feedback to make the program better fit your needs and they are constantly sharing best practices from other organizations that have been using the product for a long period of time. It's amazing that they have connected us with other like-sized schools to get their feedback on Almabase and to see how they're using the product differently than us.

Almabase is assisting us in keeping track of data and connecting with Alumni. It is also assisting in managing our mentorship program. The customer service at Almabase is fantastic and they are consistently working with us to make updates and adapt the product to our needs.

Almabase initially interested us because of the ability to have an all-in-one approach to our alumni communications, integrated database (behind the scenes) and a fancy front website. The team have been working with us to continually improve our end and they've been working hard to improve their back - end for our data purposes.

Sometimes I find the time lag between the UK and USA takes a while for us to get a response, if urgently needed!

The seamless moving capabilities within the online platform provides quick access to menus and features of all sorts. The DataStudio and various Settings provide ample opportunities to ascertain data and set up needed or required parameters.

There are no on-the- fly Website Theme Templates to choose from and/or to toggle back and forth.

We are able to organize our Alumni within one very attractive interface, especially a web-based interface accessible from a PC, Mac, iPhone or Android device from anywhere in the world. This is well worth it. What's more, there are feature we are looking forward to using very soon - email campaigns etc...

I love the user friendly design and quick set up features.  There is close to no learning curve and the application makes it super simple to get started using.   I felt like I was really getting a strong understanding of the functionality right away and kept me engaged.  The more I use the software the more I am truly understanding all of its capabilities and functionalities.  It's an exciting product to use and I can't wait to keep engaging with it.  

**What do you dislike about Almabase?**

I would like a more strengthened option on mobile so I don't lose the same features when I'm using it on the go. It's not ideal to use my phone but most of the time I don't have a choice.  This doesn't mean I had a overall negative experience utilizing a mobile platform, I just had such a positive experience using my computer I would want just as great or better experience overall using my phone.

I think you and your team should highly consider at least trying out this software.  My company has seen results almost immediately and really has put us in a more competitive position.  Of course everything is a numbers game and Almabase in that equation is a clear winner overall.

It is a tie between the Almabase platform and their great customer service. The website platform is very intuitive, nicely designed and easy to use.  AND . . . whenever I do have a question and reach out to Almabase, they are very quick to respond and spend as much time as I need helping me understand an issue.

Since I am responsible for the brand at my school, I would like to have the opportunity to have control over the colors throughout the site.  We are fairly new, so I don't even know if this is possible; however, I would want to make sure that the headings and fonts are not easily changed be someone editing or creating a particular page.

Having a "one stop shop" for everything alumni certainly makes sense and we're hoping that it'll help us to manage and stay connected with our over 12,000 alumni.

As I said, we are fairly new, but we are trying to have everything "alumni" in one place. That means collaboration, reconnecting, donations, news, events, etc.!  Plus, we like the fact that an alumnus needs to log in so that we are able to capture important email addresses.

Almabase integrates several different systems into one easy to use location. I especially appreciate its integration with Raiser's Edge. I also really appreciate their willingness to understand our engagement strategy and come up with solutions on their end to assist.

While most of the time Almabase is great, occasionally the site crashes or malfunctions. This has happened in some critical situations.

Thr best thing about almabase is the super fast customer service. At almabase they live for their customers. The plattform is very good and they have a neat integration of all your data.

There is not much to dislike. There is a lack of othet languages for their plattform. German lnaguage is not supportet for example.

I like that we can go to one place to get everything done. From email communication to RSVP's almabase makes it so easy!

I dislike the email glitches that sometimes happen with software updates on their end.

We are now able to email all of our alums without our personal emails being spammed. We are also able to pay dues online, track RSVPS and have actual event pages.
