High growth organizations of all sizes use Ally.io to align, track and measure goals and results. Users can define, share and then track their priorities online at any time on web and mobile devices. This helps users stay on track to meet their goals by identifying issues in real time and notifying teams automatically. Our OKR integrations include collaboration tools like Slack and Microsoft Team as well as data and human resource information system (HRIS) integrations. This allows users to seamlessly track and manage their performance using the tools they already use. Ally.io lets users both give and receive real-time feedback, as well as generate custom reports, helping teams to recognize professional achievements and understand individual or team performance. Ally.io user review **Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2020 **What do you like best about Ally.io?** I like the fact that the objectives & key results can be easily monitored across all teams and that we can see how each team's goals contribute to the company's goals. It is relatively easy to enter the weekly check-ins. Adding objectives and key results as well as amending them is also a pretty straightforward process. It is good that one can enter check-ins for both the main objective and its key results, however one must be quite careful not to enter their key result updates into the main goal check-ins. **What do you dislike about Ally.io?** Check-in editing option is not very intuitive, i.e. it is not easy to find the 'edit' button, unless one hovers over 'Activity' and clicks on the 3 dots. It is easy to make a mistake, while entering check-ins (e.g. to add a check-in belonging to a key result to the objective), so one cannot do it too quickly. The biggest drawback is the key result progress measurement, as the key result values are always equal, even though the amount of effort and time invested varies among subgoals. For example, objective 1 has key results A, B, C and D. Each one of these key results accounts for 25% of the objective, however key results A and B may take 90% of the time and effort and even when these two get done, the objective is only 50% completed. I would definitively add more options in progress monitoring section and assign individual value to each key result to illustrate how it relates to other key results (e.g. key result A - 50%, key result B - 25%, key result C - 15% and key result D - 10%). **What problems is Ally.io solving and how is that benefiting you?** More things get done when individuals and teams commit to completing certain tasks or projects and when other teams/superiors can easily monitor the progress. You *can* have too much of a good thing (in this case, flexibility and features) **Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2020 **What do you like best about Ally.io?** Starting out with the OKR methodology, it was great to have a tool that allowed a lot of flexibility in developing and tracking OKRs. The iconography and colors are helpful in determining what you are looking at, and the many different available views has potential to be quite useful (for managers tracking direct reports, for example). The Slack integration is great for making it easy to check in. Our customer success manager is helpful, generous with time, and no question is a dumb question. **What do you dislike about Ally.io?** The disconnect between Ally training materials' distinction between O/KR traits and the software's support of the duality model (org O -> org KR -> team KR -> individual/sub KR) with no explicit support for the flexible model (org O -> org KR -> team O-> team KR -> etc) is perplexing. Either stick to a distinction between Os and KRs and don't let them ever be the same thing, or rephrase the distinction to match the structure the software supports. The Ally software also includes many features "following, reporting, notifications) that have little to no documentation, and end up feeling like "fluff" added to make it look like the software can do a lot, but actually offer little real value. **Recommendations to others considering Ally.io:** Really understand the approach you want to take with onboarding your organization to the OKR methodology so you can better understand the tool that will meet your needs, provide training in the process and its value from the outset, ask lots of questions of the company reps you talk to. **What problems is Ally.io solving and how is that benefiting you?** The long-term visioning has been very helpful for our engineering teams, and the ability to see where every team's work cascades up to the company's goals has been helpful for people being invested in their work. **Official Response from Marilyn Napier:** > Hi there, Thank you for your feedback, we really appreciate it.
