## Alloy Navigator Reviews
  ### 1. Outstanding Experience from Start to Finish

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abdalrahim G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Alloy Navigator?**

I am able to open and monitor building maintenance requests without needing to contact IT. The process is straightforward enough that even staff without technical experience can use it easily.

**What do you dislike about Alloy Navigator?**

The mobile notifications come in far too often, and it's not clear how to adjust how frequently they appear.

**What problems is Alloy Navigator solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Alloy helps organise facility work orders, ensuring that maintenance is both timely and transparent.

  ### 2. Finally, Control Over Our Software Licenses

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sam J. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Alloy Navigator?**

The Software Asset Management module has been a real lifesaver for us. It automatically scanned our network and provided an accurate overview of our software licence usage. After using Alloy, we discovered that we were paying for 50 licences we weren't actually using. Additionally, I find the interface much easier to navigate.

**What do you dislike about Alloy Navigator?**

Whenever we purchase a new licence, we have to add the licences manually.

**What problems is Alloy Navigator solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use the SAM module to track software licences.

  ### 3. Change History Feature Makes Tracking Effortless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fazan K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Alloy Navigator?**

The change history feature for each asset is extremely helpful. It allows us to immediately identify what was modified and who made the changes.

**What do you dislike about Alloy Navigator?**

The date filters tend to reset too frequently whenever I switch between different reports.

**What problems is Alloy Navigator solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Alloy provides complete traceability for our audit reviews, which saves us several days during our annual checks.

  ### 4. Streamlined Contract Approval with Clear Audit Trail

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard J. | Retail Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Alloy Navigator?**

Alloy Navigator helps us manage contract approval workflows smoothly. Requests automatically move from Legal to Finance to IT, and the complete history is always available for reference.

**What do you dislike about Alloy Navigator?**

The platform feels very IT-oriented, which was confusing for our legal team at first. We had to customize and rename several fields to align better with our legal processes.

**What problems is Alloy Navigator solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has made our contract pipeline fully traceable from request to signature. The constant back-and-forth emails and delays have largely disappeared, which has improved efficiency across departments.

  ### 5. Very Helpful for Our Computer Hardware

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonatan S. | IT manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Alloy Navigator?**

I mostly like that it is managing our expensive hardware very nicely. These are not normal computers they have special GPUs, RAM and everything. The main thing is alloy navigator is letting us track all these custom details. The full lifecycle tracking from buying the machine to retiring it.

**What do you dislike about Alloy Navigator?**

The automatic discovery is not so good for our special hardware, like our encoding cards. It is showing them as some generic PCI device, so we are having to enter the details by hand

**What problems is Alloy Navigator solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has solved our budget planning and forecasting problems completely we are also using it for our server maintenance schedules, and it is helping reduce downtime which is a huge benefit

  ### 6. Mobile App Makes Onsite Ticket Management Effortless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Menjana J. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Alloy Navigator?**

The mobile app allows me to close tickets while I am on-site, which is very convenient. The offline queue also functions well and syncs properly once the connection is restored.

**What do you dislike about Alloy Navigator?**

When using a slower connection, loading asset details can sometimes lag.

**What problems is Alloy Navigator solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to resolve incidents more quickly because our field staff can update tickets in real time.

  ### 7. Effortless Asset Tracking and Organization with Alloy Navigator

With Alloy Navigator, tracking the lifecycle of an asset has become much more organised. I appreciate being able to view the purchase date, warranty information, and depreciation details all in a single place.

**What do you dislike about Alloy Navigator?**

Updating financial data in bulk for several assets required going through numerous steps.

Initial setup took a bit of effort, but once it was configured, it has been smooth. Better onboarding guides would help new users.

**What problems is Alloy Navigator solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives me control over both IT assets and changes in one system. This has reduced downtime during updates and improved compliance with internal policies.

  ### 9. Our experience with Alloy navigator

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bianca C. | Senior Software Engineering, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Alloy Navigator?**

it is using microsoft SQL Server. This is very good for us because we have full control. We can manage the speed, backups, and all the security with no problem. The database structure is little bit complex, but it is okay, quite well made. I like that we can add our own custom fields and they become proper columns in the table

**What do you dislike about Alloy Navigator?**

The desktop client software is a bit slow. It is a heavy software and it is making many, many calls to the database

**What problems is Alloy Navigator solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is giving us one stable platform for all our IT work. From my side the biggest benefit is having one single database for all IT service and asset information

  ### 10. Finally, Real ITIL Processes

**Reviewed by:** Afondo J. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Alloy Navigator?**

Our previous email support help desk was a disaster. Aolly provided us with a ready-to-use framework, which made a significant difference. The change management model is excellent—now, every change to the server is formally requested, approved, and documented.

The user interface looks a little bit outdated.

The Alloy web portal is very detailed if my vpn is slow or I have a problem with my laptop i can easily submit a ticket from my web browser. The best part is I can see the status so I know they've seen my request and are working on it.

**What do you dislike about Alloy Navigator?**

I wish there was a simple chat feature built-in for quick questions instead of having to create a formal ticket every single time.

**What problems is Alloy Navigator solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes me feel connected to our support team even though I'm hundreds of miles away. I know how to get help and I don't feel stranded on my own when a computer problem happens.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcus B. | Owner, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Alloy Navigator?**

As we are a small MSP we need a system that helps us in a lot of areas such as help desk, asset management , knowledgebase, keep track of customers, customer portal with self-service and much more. One very important feature was that we want the possibility for an agent, but at our choosing, we didn't want to be forced to rely on some kind of agent that needs to be installed everywhere in order to use the system. It was important to us to be able to use the system completely manually. We also wanted a system that we could grow into over time in a pace that we decided. We tested a lot of different systems until we found Alloy Navigator which just did everything we been searching for. Alloy Navigator also have an interface that out engineers like, which is very important. What we like is that the interface is more focused on every day work for the engineers than on measuring KPI’s. Once we decided to with Alloy Navigator there was a lot to learn and one thing we are very pleased with is the support we got, it has been fast and responsive.

**What do you dislike about Alloy Navigator?**

Some things must be done in a certain order, it is not always possible to go from one place in the system to another do sometning else and the go back to where you come from to continue.
When we tried out Alloy Navigator we got a test system which was great. However, once we got onboard with Alloy Navigator the test system was discontinued. We wished that we hade access to the testsystem for some time after we got onboard to try out thing before we implemented it into our own production system. I think this would have been possible if we asked for it.

**What problems is Alloy Navigator solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As we are growing we take on more customers so we need a system to keep track on everything about the customers. We also want to open more support channels so the customers get options for how they want to get help. It also enables the customer to keep track on their support requests by themselves and to add information. As for ourselves we needed one system were we could do most of our everyday work and store everyday information.

For me there was a steep learning curve, somethings were hard to find but after looking in the documentation it made sense. The documentation can be lacking at places but usually it gets the job done!

Before we had no asset management Alloy is a great solution for this with many types of options.

**What do you like best about Alloy Navigator?**

We have many options to complete the information, to correctly follow up on each case. It is very important to have so much easy to exploit information with many statistical options. the basic handling of the product is very easy. The price they offer us for the amount of functionality we get is wonderful.

**What do you dislike about Alloy Navigator?**

I honestly think support is really distant; there's practically no way to get person to person support, everything is by email, I usually only get web documentation, sometimes I don't even have access to it; also, documentation is not friendly at all, there's not even one image to guide us, it's only all a lot of words... I wouldn't say I like it. I think it would be great to have more involved support, more personal guidance, at least by chat, that would let us better exploit the tool.

  ### 38. Straight Forward Helpdesk Ticketing System

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Alloy Navigator?**

It is easy for end-users to interact with Alloy. In our environment, they email the helpdesk, and Alloy routes it to a technician.

**What do you dislike about Alloy Navigator?**

I don't know enough about the reporting capabilities to take advantage of them yet. I've got some learning scheduled soon, though.

**What problems is Alloy Navigator solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We know what kinds of problems our users are experiencing and how much time we spend fixing them.

  ### 39. This is the ticketing platform you need

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin S. | IT Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2020

**What do you like best about Alloy Navigator?**

First of all, excellent support, It is vastly comprehensive and works SO well for anything you could think of from Sales to Service to Billing Data. It is wildly comprehensive and has a huge knowledge base. All our ticketing, service, project management, sales, purchasing & assets management cycle tasks are all managed from within Alloy now. With all our staffs & clients using this system we still have a very responsive system with a great interface that have been customised to match some of the terms we use to describe our business processes. Great organisation of information including client information, tickets, and if needed documentation. Highly recommend as it's a great solution for an MSP of any size. One of the things I like the most is having the opportunity to open multiple tabs, It provides the ability to look up customers fast, start tickets fast and resolve them quickly. This is key when working a helpdesk where volume counts. It is very flexible and useful for managing customer tickets, with a great interface and proper management. It allows the automation for the assignment of tickets and the notification by a valid email. Alloy is very stable and the connection with the databases allows great flexibility

**What do you dislike about Alloy Navigator?**

There's absolutely nothing to dislike with this product :)
Very easy to organise tickets and collaborate with other technicians.

**Recommendations to others considering Alloy Navigator:**

This is what you need & it makes communication so easy

**What problems is Alloy Navigator solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's super customisable, with a very extensible API and integration capabilities, allowing us to centralise so many of our systems and daily tasks into one platform. Has enough features to essentially run your entire business out of! When it comes to tracking issues, maintaining inventory and documented details across many partners/clients/sites.

  ### 40. Alloy Navigator - Excellent Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alejandro B. | Founder and CEO (Fundador y Presidente), Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2020

**What do you like best about Alloy Navigator?**

One of the points that I want to highlight is the excellent support they provide.
They have trained people and they respond quickly to the problems or concerns that one has.
Today, this point is very important and makes a difference when choosing or continuing to use a product.

**What do you dislike about Alloy Navigator?**

I still haven't found anything I disagree with.

**What problems is Alloy Navigator solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The remarkable thing was the ease of organizing the inventory that a company have.

  ### 41. AGPS IT Asset Inventory & Service management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** sarath k. | Information Technology System Support, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2020

**What do you like best about Alloy Navigator?**

Obviously the asset and inventory management. Specially tracking those assets.

**What do you dislike about Alloy Navigator?**

Reports. Report generation is little tedious one. I am always facing issues while generating report. Querying is very easy but there is no option to print that queried information.

1. what if my senior engineer is asking me to generate report of list of laptops deployed.
2. what if my senior engineer is asking me to list all the IT belongings of particular employee.

in the above said scenarios, what i am doing is manually creating an excel sheet based upon the query

this is very difficult as the list increases.

**What problems is Alloy Navigator solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Assets and inventory management.

IT Service management

  ### 42. An excellent, comprehensive software package for IT Service Delivery

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James B. | I.T. Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2019

**What do you like best about Alloy Navigator?**

It is structured to leverage ITIL principles out of the box. The user interface and web portals make it easy for both customers and technicians to use the tools. Workflows are powerful and flexible. The ability to customize workflows and the web portal make it so flexible that we have made it a "one stop" departmental Help Desk, including "non-IT" issues. Alloy's customer service team is one of the most competent and customer-oriented organizations I have ever worked with.

**What do you dislike about Alloy Navigator?**

The client has been the best way to be the best way to leverage technician tools; however, their recent version update appears to make the web portal even more powerful. Looking forward to upgrade.

**Recommendations to others considering Alloy Navigator:**

Their support team is top notch. We have also utilized on site consulting which was well-worth the investment.

**What problems is Alloy Navigator solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Other departments in our organization have tried multiple different products to meet similar needs as ours; we have even offered to expand our implementation to include them. They struggle on, while we continue to leverage Alloy more and more. We have even established "non-IT" workflows to help our Administration and Support Services handle service requests. Alloy is extremely customizable and made this easy.

  ### 43. Satisfied all our needs for a help desk, asset management and change management solution!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bert W. | IT Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Alloy Navigator?**

I've been using Alloy for about 10 years and when I was looking for a product that would give us help desk capabilities, change management and asset management, there were some pretty expensive products out there ($50K+). Alloy gave us everything we were looking for at a fraction of the cost. I have recommended Alloy to a few colleagues in the IT field and they have begun using it as well. Alloy is highly customizable and support is top notch! Couldn't be happier with this product...

**What do you dislike about Alloy Navigator?**

I have nothing negative to say about the product - again, been using for 10+ years and it has given us everything that we have wanted in a help desk/change management/asset management solution.

**Recommendations to others considering Alloy Navigator:**

One of the best products we have implemented - ROI in so many areas for us.

**What problems is Alloy Navigator solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was recently approached by our VP of Sales and asked to come up with a solution to deal with "Customer Claims." Previously this was being done in a spreadsheet and file/folder structure on our file server. Because of this, nobody knew when the customer service group worked on claims (spreadsheet wasn't being updated) and consumer information/data wasn't being placed in the respective folders). I presented Alloy to our VP of Sales and explained that our customer service group dealing with and resolving a customer claim is really no different than our IT group working through and resolving an IT ticket - they are both problems that need a resolution.

Since that presentation, we have begun to use Alloy for all customer complaints and configured automation around the claims tickets:

- Link on our website that sends customer to Formstack form
- Customer fills our form with their data/info and email from Formstack sent to our help desk mailbox
- Alloy pulls in the email from the help desk mailbox, creates a ticket, assigns the ticket to the customer service -
group, they get an email letting them know a new ticket is created and Alloy then sends an auto response email
with ticket #, warranty info for our chemical, etc. back to the consumer.
- Ticket is worked on and when one rep is done with their part of the claims process, they re-assign to the next
person and that next person gets an email (this is probably one of the biggest problems we had in the old
approach - nobody knew when claims were being worked on).
- We were able to add custom fields in the "closure" screen for currency (so that if we did cut a check to the
customer, we can put a $ amount there and then we can also report on that (How much money have we had to
  pay out over the year).
- Reports (no way to do this under the old approach of spreadsheet/files/folders).
- SLAs - Email reminders when a claim sits "untouched" for more than 14 days...

Being able to use Alloy for our Claims Resolution (in addition to help desk functions) has allowed us to respond to claims in a much more efficient and timely manner as well as report back to upper management on the overall claims process.

  ### 44. Alloy Navigator (Express) for ITSM

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris S. | SE, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Alloy Navigator?**

We are using the Navigator Express version. We moved to Navigator Express from Alloy Discovery so we could also use the Ticket/Helpdesk and Change Request features in Navigator Express. Our overall experience so far with Navigator Express has been a very positive one. We like that it has both regular and mobile web browser interface and also a desktop app version for technicians.
Definitely worth the time to download and review if you are looking for a good well-rounded ITSM tool with a vast feature set that just keeps on growing.

**What do you dislike about Alloy Navigator?**

Some functionality out of the box is a bit weak. We are an email heavy support organisation so this is critical to us to communicate via email. However, I would expect this initially for out of the box setup. Takes some customization to get where we like Navigator to work for us but this has been done with the help of support. Other than that we have not run into anything that we have not been able to overcome.

**Recommendations to others considering Alloy Navigator:**

I would recommend having a look at Navigator Express as part of your evaluation.

**What problems is Alloy Navigator solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Navigator has centralized our IT Helpdesk and Inventory systems and ITSM requirements in general. It has become the focal point for our IT department.

  ### 46. Safran Seats/Zodiac Aerospace and Alloy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rick S. | I.T. Analyst/Support, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Alloy Navigator?**

Zodiac Aerospace now Safran Group has been using Alloy for a very long time and depend on its day-to-day functionalities and features to serve over 5000 users and computers. It is a crucial tool for the organization and the team. Some of the many features we like best about it is, that it does come fully ready out of the box but very easy to customize it to fit your needs and your organization.

**What do you dislike about Alloy Navigator?**

For the longest time we were on Versions 6 then finally made the move over to versions 7's and then now on 8's. Even tho it was a huge upgrade, and the visualization improved tremendously, we found it a bit less stable on the discovery side. Have experienced some of glitches and system freezing/crashing. Maybe on the next update/patch these issues/bugs will be resolved.

**Recommendations to others considering Alloy Navigator:**

Consider the software and its functionalities, become familiar with it and you will love it.

**What problems is Alloy Navigator solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having been using the software for many years, we solve every single IT needs on our day-to-day basis. As mentioned before it is one of our most crucial tools we depend on to get our job done, our meaning a department of 20 IT professionals and serving over 5000 users.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Meg M. | IT Helpdesk Planner, Pharmaceuticals, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Alloy Navigator?**

We are a steadily growing company, and have expanded the IT department from 5 to 18 in just under 20 months. Alloy is very user friendly and was incredibly easy to implement and maintain, and our users are finding the self-service portal very useful!

**What do you dislike about Alloy Navigator?**

There are only minor inconveniences, such as when you adjust the mandatory fields for a ticket, they don't change in the side menus that pop up - we have made the Assignee Group mandatory, but when using the quick menus, it still requires a mandatory assignee.

**What problems is Alloy Navigator solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has made it very easy to keep on top of the issues and requests reported to the helpdesk, and to measure KPI's for my staff.
