All-in-One-WP Migration (AOW) was a lifesaver when I was first starting with website development. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about All-in-One WP Migration?

At the time, FTP gave me the willies, so when I had to migrate a website from one server to another I was in a panic. I scoured the WordPress repository and found many different migration plug-ins, but none that were as clear-cut and easy to understand as AOW. The instructions are in simple English, it's easy to see what you're doing (backup or migration) so once you've installed the plug-in you are ready to do what you need to do. What do you dislike about All-in-One WP Migration?

I don't have anything that I dislike about the plug-in. The monthly pricing for the multi-site extension makes me cringe a bit, but since I don't work with multi-sites, it hasn't been a problem. Let me explain the cringe factor for me. The other AOW extension is a one-time purchase. The multi-sites are a one-time purchase price and then monthly payments. Since I don't work on multi-sites there may be a reason for the monthly charge. To be fair, the monthly payments aren't outrageous, but I avoid monthly charges whenever possible, so that's my bias. Recommendations to others considering All-in-One WP Migration:

This is a great tool for everyone, especially those new to working with WordPress. As I mentioned before, the instructions are easy to follow, but make sure that you follow them! The trickiest part is to remember that when you migrate a site to a new WordPress installation the migrated username and password will now be the ones to use to get back into the site. Your original installation credentials won't work. I've freaked myself out a few times by forgetting that one little nugget. Otherwise, go forth and Migrate. What problems is All-in-One WP Migration solving and how is that benefiting you?

The benefits are enormous! I save so much time migrating sites from one place to another. I can schedule backups to go directly to my Dropbox or my client's Dropbox. I can also save my backups directly to my hard drive and send the file over to a client if they don't have Dropbox. There are some times for large sites that extensions are required or you need to use the back-up method to install the site on the new hosting, but just a couple extra steps, still easier then manually moving a site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
