Align is a very straightforward platform to help bring all the aspects of the business principles of Scaling Up (the Rockefeller Habits) to life. It's CRUCIAL to keep in mind that Align is NOT a project management platform but rather aimed specifically at keeping the entirety of the company aligned (see what I did there) with the overall purpose and strategy behind the tasks and activities of each team. Align is very easy to use and scales across members of a team as well as multiple teams. Having a strategy and execution plan that receives daily attention is required for successful businesses, yet few actually address these areas consistently. Using align makes it easy and gives you a competitive edge. My companies have seen increased productivity and excellent results due to the consistent use of Align. Some team members not used to being held accountable and delivering results will need some time to ramp up. Align helps us create robust 1-page strategic plans which include goals and priorities as well as tasks. We then hold daily and weekly huddles to stay on track. We like the consistency of revisiting the strategy quarterly and making any necessary adjustments. The daily use of the tool drives up productivity and, more importantly, our results. Unlike a task manager, Align is easier to plan out for a higher-level strategic plan that you can then put into smaller priorities. This helps you stay focused when you are in a situation where you say to yourself what should I do today? The answer is always to focus on that priority and what will move that priority's needle and the reason you are doing that is because you recognized what actions move your business forward beforehand. Align helps streamline communication among our remote and hybrid workforce. It keeps the team accountable in a visual setting. Very easy for an administrator to get the account started, adding team members and inputting payment options. With a technology startup, everyone might be doing many tasks simultaneously, and making sure they stay on track is the most important goal. I'm using Align for more than 10 years with my clients, and it is the best tool to implement Scaling Up Methodology. I love the platform because it is super simple and user-friendly! Align allows my business to focus on what is important and really live the scaling up model. Before Align we had a combination of 'Shiny Object Syndrome" and "Problem of the Day" syndrome. Align allows us to fully integrate the scaling up process but more importantly it really helps us with the execution side of it and helps us focus on our priorities and not get distracted by Shiny Objects or Problem of the Day. My business now focuses on what is important. As a CEO i find it invaluable to have all of my companies priorities in one place. I also can review all huddle notes and get a feel for the business from anywhere in the world. There have been some issues with mobile vs. desktop - but those were all cleared up. We also did not like the reporting of critical numbers before but that has also been worked on and is much better. The main problem solved with Align is the reduction of distractions. Having our scaling up priorities and tasks organized so well makes us much more efficient. We used to struggle with excel as a tool to keep track of priorities and tasks - it was awful. Align has changed all that - it gave us very user friendly way to track priorities and tasks. It is a no brainer to me that if you are adopting a scaling methodology, you should do it on a SaaS platform. The things that drew me to Align are: 1. What do you dislike about Align? Would like to see some more 3rd party integrations or a framework for doing that. Zapier is a good start but I would like more options.
