"Quick and Efficient Shortcuts and Powerful Automation"
5/5
What do you like best about Alfred?

I constantly use Alfred over Spotlight for everything from searching for files to opening apps and for executing some custom scripts that I've built. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Alfred?

I sometimes get Alfred prompts pop up when a keyboard shortcut conflicts with other apps, but that is probably my fault. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Like Spotlight on Steroids - Highly Recommend"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Alfred?

The free version is great. Alfred lets me quickly open web pages directly, and pass in parameters to websites with consistently structured URLs. For example, Salesforce URLs are generally structured similarly, which means that I can pass a Salesforce ID through Alfred and directly open that Salesforce page. This is true of other websites as well - I have had it set up for up to a dozen websites at various companies I have worked at. Also its built in calculator is more convenient to use than Spotlight. There is a bunch of additional functionality that comes with the paid version, but I haven't tried any of that out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Alfred?

The parameter passing is slightly limited, and that is the thing I use it for the most. As an example, I can use it to pop up the Google Translate website and automatically translate something via Google Translate (ie "translate umbrella") but the language it automatically translates into is the default in Google Translate (in my case Spanish). It would be great to be able to pass multiple parameters (ie "translate umbrella into French") and have it automatically translate into French, instead of the default.

That said, I don't know if that changes with the paid version. The product itself is great, and if that is a paid feature I may eventually upgrade to the paid version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Alfred is a must have productivity app"
5/5
What do you like best about Alfred?

Alfred allows to perform any task from a Spotlight like bar. I use it to run workflows/scripts to automatize my daily routine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Alfred?

There's not much I dislike about Alfred. It used to be a bit slow on my old mac but now that I have a new machine (MBP 2018) I can use it to its extend! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Handy in the extreme"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Alfred?

Alfred is by far the easiest app launcher I've ever come across. It is also a great search tool both for local documents and items but also as a quick web search. I've turned off Spotlight on my mac and never looked back. That's without even going into the advanced or premium features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Alfred?

After about 4 years of usage I have yet to find any dislikes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Alfred?

I dislike that I have to pay for the iOS remote. Something that should be added. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The best app for macOS - it alone is a good reason to use a Mac over Windows"
5/5
What do you like best about Alfred?

Supercharges my everyday usage of the computer, with search, clipboard manager, and workflows you pretty have all your bases covered, and if not - write a workflow yourself, they can be very simple or very complex. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Alfred?

Nothing really, there are constant updates, and the pricing is good for the amount of time it lasts.

Maybe there should be an offering of 1st party workflows, or integration with more password managers other then 1Password. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fantastic Interface for Efficient Searching"
5/5
What do you like best about Alfred?

One of Alfred's best qualities is its efficient search algorithm and the ability to find documents, pictures, contacts, and apps. In this way, its more powerful than Apple's built-in spotlight feature, as well as being easy to use. It can quickly search Amazon, Google, or Wikipedia for anything as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Alfred?

The only fault I've found with this app is the difficulty it sometimes has in search for files that are within many folders. It seems to be unable to search for these kinds of files but has no problem in finding files under a single folder Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Alfred is the heartbeat of my computer"
5/5
What do you like best about Alfred?

I use Alfred for launching apps, emailing contacts, searching websites on my company's intranet, searching external websites, controlling Apple Music, maintaining a clipboard history and pasting from it, jumping to communications articles behind my company's firewall, quickly opening up requests/bugs in internal apps, and a lot more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Alfred?

You can't use it on Windows. I don't use Windows at work, but sometimes I do need to use it at home, such as when I'm mining cryptocurrency or playing games. I understand why the author doesn't make a Windows version though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
