## AlertOps Reviews
  ### 1. Good program but needs improvement on filtering

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luis C. | System Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2024

**What do you like best about AlertOps?**

It works well, we haven't had any issues from the system itself. If you can get it to route properly it will be consistent. Customer Support has good response time. Overall a good program that just requires more updates.

**What do you dislike about AlertOps?**

The filtering for the alerting isn't great and needs more work and improvement rather than having to recreate work for no reason. Especially since pricing can restrict how many filters you utilize. This restricts implementation and makes it more difficult to do the integration as well.

**What problems is AlertOps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It resolves our issue with handling our on-call alerting and routing.

  ### 2. Robust & Versatile Solution

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Moemoe L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2024

**What do you like best about AlertOps?**

AlertOps is a powerful and comprehensive on-call monitoring and alerting platform that can help MSPs improve their incident management and response. It has many features and benefits, such as integration, customization, usability, and reliability. . AlertOps has provided us with several benefits, such as improved oncall management, reduced alert fatigue, faster incident response, and better visibility and accountability.

**What do you dislike about AlertOps?**

Learning curve: We had to spend some time to understand the concepts, and workflows of AlertOps to configure the settings and integrations properly with their guidance.

**What problems is AlertOps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AlertOps has provided us with several benefits, such as improved oncall management, reduced alert fatigue, faster incident response, and better visibility and accountability.

  ### 3. Great solution for on-call employees

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cameron M. | PC Technician, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2024

**What do you like best about AlertOps?**

AlertOps has been a great solution for our on-call rotation, and has resulted in very happy customers due to the hasty response we give them.

**What do you dislike about AlertOps?**

The user interface is a little clunky and could be improved.

**What problems is AlertOps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

On-call alerting for after hours support

  ### 4. Capable with some rough edges

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2024

**What do you like best about AlertOps?**

It's fairly straightforward to setup (and easy to get the basics done).

**What do you dislike about AlertOps?**

The UX is a little rough, and some features are not well explained. For instance, when creating a new integration, the source field will change the name of the endpoint URI (and it doesn't warn you or provide any tooltips to explain the changes you're making).

**What problems is AlertOps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gives us a central source to accept and filter alert messages.

  ### 5. Director

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2024

**What do you like best about AlertOps?**

The flexibility of how one can receive alerts

**What do you dislike about AlertOps?**

Sometimes the interface is a bit complex.

**What problems is AlertOps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Notification of Critical incidents

  ### 6. Flexible and Customizable with a variety of notification options

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2024

**What do you like best about AlertOps?**

The flexibility for users to choose the type of alert (email, sms, phone calls, push) and stack them in order of priority.

**What do you dislike about AlertOps?**

If you need to troubleshoot the app and enroll for the beta version it takes at least a day for the phone to download the beta app.

**What problems is AlertOps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its solving the need for a user to monitor a phone voice mailbox after hours for user issues.

  ### 7. Solid alternative to PagerDuty, OpsGenie etc

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2024

**What do you like best about AlertOps?**

Flexible alerting system, allows us to schedule oncall in the platform and assign users to alerts. Easy to use mobile app for alerting when oncall. Simple escalation path for when alerts are not responded to right away.

It's a fairly new platform so there are some rough edges, but the dev team is very responsive.

**What do you dislike about AlertOps?**

It's a fairly new platform so there are some rough edges.

**What problems is AlertOps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Daily alerts coming into support desk needed extra eyes if they weren't responded to within a specific timeframe. AlertOps allows for 2nd and 3rd tier escalation.

  ### 8. Great Product!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris F. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2023

**What do you like best about AlertOps?**

We love how customizable the scheduling is to be able to accommodate our after hours rotation. The mobile app also works well while you are oncall.

**What do you dislike about AlertOps?**

To fully automate our rotation, if we could make a schedule of just select dates, so our holiday schedule could be set at the beginning of the year and left to rotate all year, that would be great.

**What problems is AlertOps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us alert our team when we are oncall after hours and weekends.

  ### 9. Very easy and straight forward to use!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mason C. | System Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2023

**What do you like best about AlertOps?**

I thoroughly enjoy that if I don't respond to the alert in the app, the app will attempt to text or call me to notify me about the alerts. This makes sure no alert is missed which is crucial for any provider.

**What do you dislike about AlertOps?**

I admittedly haven't noticed any significant downfalls with this application. My only gripe would be if you are attempting to swap on-call schedules with someone else, it can be confusing. However, I'm unsure if the app or the current configurations cause that.

**What problems is AlertOps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves an accountability issue. With AlertOps, someone will always be notified, streamlining how we deal with those alerts. The app makes sure no tables are left unturned.

  ### 10. Good product

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2023

**What do you like best about AlertOps?**

The versatility of the options per user makes work a lot easier to do.

**What do you dislike about AlertOps?**

That it makes my life too easy. I like a challenge.

**What problems is AlertOps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowing tech to be notified when there is an incident for oncall schedule.

  ### 11. Good for a Small to Medium business MSP.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael C. | System Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2023

**What do you like best about AlertOps?**

Multiple forms of communication to allow you to be properly informed. Schedule in the app as well as ticket information.

**What do you dislike about AlertOps?**

Application looks a bit clunky and has had some crash issues on my iPhone.

**What problems is AlertOps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allows On-Call techs to receive alerts regarding critical infrastructure and allow us to respond appropriay. Assist weekend technicians.

  ### 12. AlertOps Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason H. | NOC Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2022

**What do you like best about AlertOps?**

I like the notification options available (email, text, push notification), and I also like how intuitive the web portal and mobile app are to navigate.

**What do you dislike about AlertOps?**

The main thing I would like improved is some sort of recording of a user's phone number immediately when they call. As it stands now, if a user calls and hangs up without leaving a voicemail or I answer and there's some sort of call connection problem and I can't hear them, I have no way of checking what number they called from and calling them back.

**What problems is AlertOps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use AlertOps for our after-hours on-call rotation and it has been effective in alerting us quickly when a high priority issue has occurred during off hours and requires the attention of a technical resource.

  ### 13. AlertOps Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lawrence B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2023

**What do you like best about AlertOps?**

Allows users to contact us for off-hours support issues. I can get alert messages on my mobile phone.

**What do you dislike about AlertOps?**

I sometimes get multiple alerts in rapid succession for the same issue.

**What problems is AlertOps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lets us respond to issues during non-work hours

  ### 14. Easy being called, hard to set up

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ivan B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2023

**What do you like best about AlertOps?**

The easiest way to configure on call methods I found.

**What do you dislike about AlertOps?**

The hardest way to get and maintain on call history I found

**What problems is AlertOps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having someone technical on call when the support team needs technical support.

  ### 15. Intuitive and easy to use and integrate with monitoring tools.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nikola M. | System Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2022

**What do you like best about AlertOps?**

AlertOps is simple and easy to use. It is very reliable, once we got it up and running, it worked almost without any maintenance or issues. The low price is also one of the major advantages over the competition. There are many predefined integrations with monitoring tools. Besides that, we had a feature request for Zabbix integration and AlertOps support team was very helpful and our request was successfully resolved. Our integration with PRTG works just fine and we rely on that heavily.

**What do you dislike about AlertOps?**

Mobile application doesn't have a Bulk Close option so we had to close one by one alert. Also, the web GUI doesn't show all the alerts if you choose longer time window (e.g. 90 days), but we understood it's a bug and that it should be fixed in some future release.

**What problems is AlertOps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We monitor our customer's infrastructure with PRTG and Zabbix. We use integration with AlertOps to achieve fully automated alerting and dispatching and to maintain reliable 24/7 support service for our customers.

  ### 16. Used for OnCall rotation at an MSP

Seems simple enough to find alerts, and manage them

**What do you dislike about AlertOps?**

So far nothing I can see is an issue with the app.

**What problems is AlertOps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps to manage OnCall and not have to use my personal number

  ### 17. Alert Ops Review

AlertOps is a cost effective solution that has easy to use interfaces. I can access it from any device and quickly view what is alerting.

The calendar view of the schedules could be improved to better show the effect of having multiple schedules active at once.

At allows us a single source for alerting to problems from all of our monitoring tools

  ### 19. AlertOps is an excellent tool...

**What problems is AlertOps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am running a 24 x 7 team and using AlertOps to receive calls from my clients.

  ### 20. Cost effective option that works!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2018

**What do you like best about AlertOps?**

Alertops is a great product overall and once set up you rarely need to tinker with it because it just works. Its a very stable and reliable product and the cost is much better than the competitors.

**What do you dislike about AlertOps?**

It can be a little difficult to use but the support docs help and also the support email is very responsive and helpful so these issues are often easy to navigate around.

**Recommendations to others considering AlertOps:**

If there are any problems or questions contact support as the support is really helpful.

**What problems is AlertOps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are now able to have a regular rotating on call roster for our development team. The team are now better organized and have better notifications around there on call status. They're also able to see ahead of time when they are on call and plan for this.

  ### 21. Flexible

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2019

**What do you like best about AlertOps?**

I have used other top rankers service providers for years. Though i came to know and took one trail for AlertOps and had a great experience till now. Loved the Pricing model with such a feature.

**What do you dislike about AlertOps?**

There is nothing more to dislike in AlertOps. Still, for an advancement, i would suggest bringing more tool integration within it like Jenkins. Also looking for more better and brief documentation.

**Recommendations to others considering AlertOps:**

If you are looking for simple integration with all-round system, AlertOps will not let you down.

**What problems is AlertOps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a DevOps i have been using it lots of tools along with AWS.
With AlertOps and AWS we have integrated AlertOps with SNS topics. Wherewith Not only Cloudwatch but other AWS offerings services pushing alerts to the users with phone calls and SMS or email.

  ### 22. AlertOps, for when the rest just don't cut it!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2018

**What do you like best about AlertOps?**

AlertOps its the best solution when you compare cost and features, they are willing to work with your specific needs to tailor their product to you. If you need something new, they will listen and add it to their roadmap.

**What do you dislike about AlertOps?**

You need someone to be able to dedicate time into the product to really understand all of the ins and outs. this isn't really a negative because ultimately it is because of all the customization that can be created with each portion. Other products may be more intuitive out of the box but down the road when you want to customize it, it won't be an option. AlertOps has that initially, you just need someone to dedicate a large portion of time to it up front.

**Recommendations to others considering AlertOps:**

It is well worth the learning curve when comparing features and price point.

**What problems is AlertOps solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we are able to generate multiple integrations that have a different channel to alarm. The benefits are cost effectiveness and being able to pass the alarm on to our clients if necessary is a great option that can be assessed on a case by case basis instead of having to build different alarms based on who needs them the first time it fires.

at some point that on prem software will cost you more each year. Where this one the cost says pretty much the same each year.

Needed something that would support all devices. that was a problem with the older software.
And the price on this software cost less per a year.
