What do you dislike about Guardian?

Personally, I don’t see a downside to using the system. Occasionally, we do experience some lag in site performance, but it’s resolved quickly once it’s reported. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Willem Ryan of Guardian

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We truly appreciate the thoughtful feedback!

We’re glad to hear that Guardian’s intuitive design makes it easy to navigate for all users, regardless of their technical background. Creating a clear, accessible experience is central to our approach to physical identity and access management (PIAM), especially when it comes to day-to-day tasks like access control badge management for employees and contractors.

It’s especially meaningful to hear that Guardian helped introduce a more structured, transparent process compared to your previous approach. Providing clear request workflows, approval visibility, and real-time status tracking is critical for improving operational efficiency and strengthening governance across physical access control systems (PACS). We’re pleased that this has made access requests easier to follow and manage across your organization.

We also appreciate your note about occasional performance lag. Platform reliability is essential when supporting access operations, and our team actively monitors and addresses reported issues to ensure Guardian continues to perform well as customers scale and consolidate PACS environments.

Thank you again for your trust and for being part of the Alert Enterprise community. We look forward to continuing to support your access management needs with a unified, user-friendly PIAM platform.

"Enterprise-Wide Visibility, but Integration and UAT Flexibility Need Improvement"
3/5
What do you like best about Guardian?

Most helpful in providing a single, enterprise-wide view of who is in our facilities at all times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Guardian?

The main challenges with Guardian have been the complexity of initial integration and cross‑team coordination, along with limited flexibility for changes during UAT. Replacing multiple legacy systems also required thoughtful change management and training for frontline users, and the platform’s reliance on upstream identity and interface data means timing issues can occasionally impact workflow efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Willem Ryan of Guardian

Thank you for the detailed and thoughtful feedback. We truly appreciate you sharing both the value you’re seeing and the challenges you’ve encountered.

We’re glad to hear that Guardian is providing a single, enterprise-wide view of facility occupancy. That level of visibility, knowing who is on-site, where, and why, is a core strength of our physical identity and access management (PIAM) platform and a key driver of improved safety and operational awareness.

It’s also great to see the impact on visitor management, from streamlined check-ins and badge printing to a more consistent experience across locations. Creating a standardized, secure, and efficient process for both staff and visitors is exactly what Guardian is designed to enable.

We also appreciate your candid feedback on integration complexity, UAT flexibility, and change management. These are important considerations, especially in large-scale, multi-system environments. We’re actively working to simplify integrations, improve flexibility during testing and deployment phases, and enhance tools that help organizations manage transitions from legacy systems more smoothly. Your point about dependencies on upstream systems is especially valuable, we continue to focus on improving resilience and timing coordination across integrated workflows.

Thank you again for your partnership and transparency. Feedback like this plays a critical role in helping us evolve Guardian to better support enterprise-scale deployments and deliver a smoother experience end to end.
