## Guardian Reviews
  ### 1. Guardian Review of myAccess

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Utilities | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Guardian?**

We like that that the myAccess product is currently on-prem which allows us to understand it better and tune it to our environment when needed. It also allows us to troubleshoot easier when we don't have to rely on a support team that isn't in the same time zone as we are.
We are able to mitigate fixes or work arounds on-the-fly rather than relying on and waiting for the next patch or update to the system.
IU is functional and administration is extensive for support within the corporation.
We are looking forward to having the legacy system upgraded to something newer in 2027.

**What do you dislike about Guardian?**

The concern about patches breaking usual functionality is an ongoing issue, but as this version has reached EOL, a major upgrade is being planned and should help with performance and enhancements to the product.

**What problems is Guardian solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The myAccess product used within the corporation keeps control and awareness of who has access in line with current regulatory and governance requirements.

**Official Response from Willem Ryan:**

> Thank you for the detailed review. We really appreciate the context you’ve shared, especially around your myAccess deployment in a utilities/NERC environment.

It’s great to hear that the on-premise model has given your team the control and flexibility needed to troubleshoot, tune, and adapt the system in real time. That level of ownership is especially important in regulated environments like NERC/CIP, where visibility, auditability, and responsiveness are critical. We’re also glad Guardian has helped expand beyond documentation into broader physical and electronic access governance, keeping access aligned with compliance requirements.

We understand your decision to limit patching as the current version approaches end-of-life, and your focus on stability during that period. Planning the transition to a newer version, whether on-prem, hybrid, or cloud, is an important next step, and we’d welcome the opportunity to support you in evaluating the best path forward based on your operational and compliance needs.

If helpful, our team can work with you to review upgrade options, discuss deployment models, and ensure a smooth transition that maintains the control and visibility you rely on today.

Thank you again for your partnership and for sharing your experience.

  ### 2. Great Support, but Integrations and Performance Need Improvement

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rita K. | Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Guardian?**

The support from the team is best but sometimes takes awhile for updates.

**What do you dislike about Guardian?**

The integrations, the performance issues that we face are things that could be improved.

**What problems is Guardian solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We want a good visitor management system for our visitors and employees and I hope when all is implemented the system will benefit the visitor experience

**Official Response from Willem Ryan:**

> Thank you for your honest feedback. We truly appreciate you sharing your experience.

We’re glad to hear that our support team has made a positive impact. Providing knowledgeable, responsive support is something we take seriously, and we’re continuously working to improve update timelines and communication to better meet expectations.

We also appreciate your candid input on integrations and performance. These are critical areas, and we’re actively focused on strengthening system performance, improving reliability, and enhancing integrations to ensure a smoother, more consistent experience across environments.

It’s great to hear that your goal is to deliver a strong visitor management experience for both visitors and employees. Guardian is designed to provide a secure, streamlined, and scalable visitor journey, and we’re committed to helping you realize that value as your implementation progresses.

Thank you again for your partnership and feedback. It plays an important role in helping us continue to improve.

  ### 3. Enterprise-Wide Visibility, but Integration and UAT Flexibility Need Improvement

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Guardian?**

Most helpful in providing a single, enterprise-wide view of who is in our facilities at all times.

**What do you dislike about Guardian?**

The main challenges with Guardian have been the complexity of initial integration and cross‑team coordination, along with limited flexibility for changes during UAT. Replacing multiple legacy systems also required thoughtful change management and training for frontline users, and the platform’s reliance on upstream identity and interface data means timing issues can occasionally impact workflow efficiency.

**What problems is Guardian solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Guardian solves the problem of inconsistent and manual visitor check‑in across facilities. It makes it easier to register visitors, print badges, and clearly see who is in the building and who they’re visiting. This has improved safety and created a more consistent experience for staff and visitors across locations.

**Official Response from Willem Ryan:**

> Thank you for the detailed and thoughtful feedback. We truly appreciate you sharing both the value you’re seeing and the challenges you’ve encountered.

We’re glad to hear that Guardian is providing a single, enterprise-wide view of facility occupancy. That level of visibility, knowing who is on-site, where, and why, is a core strength of our physical identity and access management (PIAM) platform and a key driver of improved safety and operational awareness.

It’s also great to see the impact on visitor management, from streamlined check-ins and badge printing to a more consistent experience across locations. Creating a standardized, secure, and efficient process for both staff and visitors is exactly what Guardian is designed to enable.

We also appreciate your candid feedback on integration complexity, UAT flexibility, and change management. These are important considerations, especially in large-scale, multi-system environments. We’re actively working to simplify integrations, improve flexibility during testing and deployment phases, and enhance tools that help organizations manage transitions from legacy systems more smoothly. Your point about dependencies on upstream systems is especially valuable, we continue to focus on improving resilience and timing coordination across integrated workflows.

Thank you again for your partnership and transparency. Feedback like this plays a critical role in helping us evolve Guardian to better support enterprise-scale deployments and deliver a smoother experience end to end.

  ### 4. Promising Integrations, but a Scattered UI Makes It Hard to Grasp

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Guardian?**

It has a lot of potential to be great, it seems like there are plenty of ways to connect it to existing infrastructure.

**What do you dislike about Guardian?**

The UI felt a little scattered, I'd imagine it would be difficult to understand the full scope out of the box

**What problems is Guardian solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Guardian helps with physical security management, allowing Jared to pull all the information he needs in a single place and be able to change it as needed.

**Official Response from Willem Ryan:**

> Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. We really appreciate you sharing your perspective.

We’re glad to hear that Guardian’s integration capabilities stand out and align well with your existing infrastructure. Enabling seamless connectivity across systems is a key part of our physical identity and access management (PIAM) platform, helping organizations bring together data and operations into a single, unified view.

We also understand your feedback about the UI feeling scattered and potentially difficult to grasp initially. That’s an important point, and we’re actively focused on improving navigation, onboarding, and overall usability so users can more quickly understand the full scope and value of the platform.

It’s great to know Guardian is helping centralize physical security management, giving your team a single place to access and manage critical information. That visibility and control are core to what we aim to deliver.

Thanks again for your honest feedback. It’s invaluable as we continue to refine and improve the experience.

  ### 5. Rocky Early On-Premise Implementation with Lots of Back-and-Forth on Supported Tech

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonah P. | Senior Systems Engineer, Lead Database Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Guardian?**

We are in early stages of implementation. No opinion yet.

**What do you dislike about Guardian?**

So far, the early implementation has been a little rocky. Laying the foundation for our on-premise implementation has had a lot of back and forth in terms of supported technologies.

**What problems is Guardian solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping us with on-site Visitor Management (Patient and Vendor in Hospital System)

**Official Response from Willem Ryan:**

> Thank you for your honest feedback. We truly appreciate you sharing your experience, especially at this early stage.

We’re sorry to hear that the initial implementation has felt rocky. Setting up an on-premise environment, particularly in complex ecosystems like healthcare, can involve detailed alignment on supported technologies, and we recognize that back-and-forth can be frustrating. That said, it’s on us to make that process as smooth and efficient as possible, and we’re committed to improving that experience for you.

Please know that our team is fully invested in your success. We’ll continue working closely with you to streamline the setup, clarify requirements, and accelerate progress so you can start realizing value from Guardian as quickly as possible.

We’re glad to hear that visitor management for patients and vendors is a key focus, and we’re confident that once fully implemented, Guardian will provide a strong, unified physical identity and access management (PIAM) foundation to support safe, efficient operations across your facilities.

Thank you again for your partnership and patience. We’re committed to getting this right and delivering the experience you expect.

  ### 6. Strong Integration Potential, But Admin Tools and Documentation Need Improvement

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Guardian?**

Potential supporting software and hardware integration possibilities.

**What do you dislike about Guardian?**

Not enough customer facing administrative tools for supporting internal configuration. Training materials and User Guides good be much better. Consider hiring Technical Writers or 3rd party marketing.

**What problems is Guardian solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visitor tracking onsite and history of visitor traffic.

**Official Response from Willem Ryan:**

> Thank you for the candid and constructive feedback. We really appreciate you taking the time to share this.

We’re glad to hear that Guardian’s integration capabilities stand out. Enabling seamless connectivity across software and hardware systems is a core strength of our physical identity and access management (PIAM) platform, especially for organizations managing complex environments.

We also hear your concerns around administrative tools and documentation. Empowering customers with stronger self-service configuration capabilities and clearer, more comprehensive training materials is a key area of focus for us. We’re actively working to enhance in-product guidance, expand documentation, and improve the overall admin experience so internal teams can operate more independently and efficiently.

It’s great to know Guardian is helping with visitor tracking and historical visibility. Providing accurate, centralized records of visitor activity is essential for both operational insight and security.

Thank you again for your honest feedback. It’s incredibly valuable as we continue to improve Guardian and the overall customer experience.
