It's great for timeboxing. The availability sharing is awesome so I no longer need Calendly. You can do everything with key commands. It integrates with email, Trello, Slack, Clickup and Notion (and others that aren't relevant to me) so all of my tasks and systems from varied clients live in one place. You can easily attach highlights, web clips and emails to tasks. The mobile app is in beta but already works great and has most features. It's less rigid in its methodology than Sunsama. I love that I can see my calendar and my to-do items on one screen so I can also evaluate how many calls I can add to my day based on the items in my backlog. Akiflow integrates with Slack perfectly, so I can save items and send them to my inbox instead of relying on Slack reminders. I used Plan.co during college to check if I had time to socialize in the evenings given my schoolwork. Nowadays it's important for me to be able to coordinate with my husband and have multiple integrations, and Akiflow is exactly that! I love being able to just drag my tasks from multiple places onto my day. It keeps me focused and reminds me during the day what I need to be getting done. I would absolutely recommend it to friends looking to organize their days. **What do you dislike about Akiflow?** The only two things I dislike about Akiflow are that there is no mobile app, and I can't schedule a single task on my calendar more than once. However, I know the mobile app is in progress, and it's possible the latter item will also be implemented in the future! The last thing is that my Todoist tasks don't always seem totally updated when it comes to date/time, but I know how difficult date/time stuff in programming can be. **What problems is Akiflow solving and how is that benefiting you?** I tend to get distracted throughout the day, or on a given open evening I might while away the hours doing something superfluous, meanwhile I say "ugh I've been meaning to do that thing". It also allows task management via mobile which is ideal. Also, it is very light to use, unlike Notion. **What do you dislike about Akiflow?** Nothing really to dislike, but I wish for a 2-way deeper integration with tools. For example, checking tasks in Akiflow marks them as done in ToDoist. But when you create tasks, it doesn't get created in ToDoit. This might be an intentional feature to maintain a competitive advantage. It does exactly what I need it to do. There are some feature requests I have, but it works flawlessly right now. If someone from Akiflow is reading this a native ZenDesk integration would be awesome. **What problems is Akiflow solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's taking tasks I receive from several different places and consolidating them in one place so I don't lose track of them. If I get an email I need to act on I just star it and review it in Akiflow later. If someone slacks me something I need to act on I just save it and review it in Akiflow later. Being a Y-Combinator backed company, I anticipate Akiflow to continue to provide even more value to its customers as the application continues to evolve. **What do you dislike about Akiflow?** Akiflow is a relatively new application, and they are gradually fleshing out the core application. Currently, the application is a bit expensive compared to competitors but provides enough value to justify the costs. At the time of this review, there is no mobile application available for Akiflow, but the development team appears to be working hard on implementing this. The benefits of Akiflow far outweigh the negatives of the application, and I am confident the Akiflow team will continue to improve the application. **Recommendations to others considering Akiflow:** Akiflow is excellent for users that need quick task-to-calendar fucntionality and have a lot of things to schedule. I actively try to use all the features that it has. However, the concept of making your calendar and your to-do tasks work together is what distinguishes Akiflow from any other app I know of. On top of that, the ease with which Akiflow's command bar enables you to keep your mind clean by making tasks and planning them with a few keystrokes is a game changer! **What do you dislike about Akiflow?** While it is still the only productivity app that I am paying for, I still consider it a bit higher than I would expect. I use other tools for this (Vimcal has been great). It really is a great task manager though. I'd almost like if they would allow me to just use the task manager and not use the calendar.
