With akeneo, cleaning up the data and ensuring Consistency is a rapid and efficient process. Akeneo has been a great support, both akeneo software and akeneo People working with us. **What do you dislike about Akeneo PIM?** I am very fond of native functions and a little hesitant to add any third party add ons or bundles - it is probably just my personal taste. That is why I wait impatiently for the new Releases with the new Features and they just cannot come fast enough, e.g. I am waiting for the possibility, to make calculations e.g. via rules directly in akeneo fields. **Recommendations to others considering Akeneo PIM:** Try to learn first the full landscape of possibilities and features Akeneo has on offer so that you can set up the database accordingly **What problems is Akeneo PIM solving and how is that benefiting you?** The very first benefit is cleanliness and consistency of the data, which is our most important asset - essentially, data is a major part of our company's final product. Akeneo also enables fast and consistent changes and iterations, which is great for start ups like ours. This way we can develop and improve faster. One other great benefit is working with suppliers differently. I was most pleased that I didn't have to choose between a great experience and a great ability for my development team to build and customize as we needed. Overall flexibility of the platform was the key feature, as my organization was willing to shift rapidly in terms of merchandising and new product sets. **What do you dislike about Akeneo PIM?** The off-the-shelf connector between Akeneo and our Ecommerce platform (Magento) that we used for the original integration did not perform, which resulted in a difficult and longer-than-usual integration. This connector was poorly designed, and Magento has since recommended another connector that is API-based. **What problems is Akeneo PIM solving and how is that benefiting you?** For our end-users, we solved the problem of waiting for products to load, and to be saved -- changes made on the Akeneo platform were instant. Data imports worked. We were able to add over 50,000 products to our product catalog in a 3-4 month period. ### 41. As one digs deeper into the more advanced features, queries, exports, etc., it allows even greater efficiency. **What do you dislike about Akeneo PIM?** I had wished for a way to more easily change the format of columns. For example, changing a "text" column to one with limited options, it would be beneficial for Akeneo to make a list of the unique values and convert that data. **Recommendations to others considering Akeneo PIM:** This PIM helped our employees feel more comfortable about the product information process thanks to the intuitive interface. If you are looking for a "first PIM" to get your company comfortable, I would highly recommend Akeneo. **What problems is Akeneo PIM solving and how is that benefiting you?** As the world turns to online shopping, being able to export product data faster than the competition can be the difference between making the sale or being the secondary option.
