What really stands out for me is that it's the cheapest and most reliable solution for web storage and mail delivery. There are so many advanced features and options like layered permission sets and the API, which I find very valuable. I appreciate that I can give special roles to my peers while keeping all my services safe, even when team members change. **What do you dislike about Akamai Cloud Computing?** The support is slow. When I was initiating the SES and verified our domain, I was waiting for days for some answers. The initial setup was difficult. **What problems is Akamai Cloud Computing solving and how is that benefiting you?** Akamai Cloud Computing is the cheapest and most reliable solution for web storage and mail delivery. I can give special roles to my peers through the layered permission sets, keeping services secure even when people change. ### 2. Their server setup guides are detailed, enabling a relative newbie to set up a secure Linux server and a LAMP stack capable of hosting Wordpress and custom PHP websites quick quickly. Their site monitoring tools are good. Their DNS management tools are excellent **What do you dislike about Akamai Cloud Computing?** I ran into problems with MySQL crashing regularly, and I didn't have the technical expertise to diagnose it effectively. Linode's business model doesn't provide application-level support, which is fine, but I had to look for an alternative path, so I looked at using Cloudways. **What problems is Akamai Cloud Computing solving and how is that benefiting you?** Providing a virtual provate server acting as a webhost ### 3. Their platform is user-friendly, making deployment and configuration straightforward, even for complex projects. Integration with other tools and services is seamless, allowing me to set up my environment efficiently. They also provide low-latency servers with the latest CPUs at a great price, and you only pay for the time you use. **What do you dislike about Akamai Cloud Computing?** If I had to find something I don’t like, it would be that some support agents weren’t always able to help me, especially when I was a victim of DDoS attacks. However, it also depends on how you interact with them. Overall, I think they are okay as a big company. **What problems is Akamai Cloud Computing solving and how is that benefiting you?** Akamai Connected Cloud (formerly Linode) is continuously upgrading its technology, expanding data centers worldwide, and keeping its infrastructure up to date with the latest CPUs. This is especially beneficial for development and resource-intensive tasks. They have also improved their firewall to better mitigate DDoS attacks. As a user, this helps me a lot, particularly for my work. Additionally, I use their servers as a virtual private network to play video games with minimal latency, so seamless that I barely notice I’m connected to a VPN. **Official Response from Support:** > Hi there! Furthermore, it you unfamiliar with the services, the cost can be high. **What problems is Akamai Cloud Computing solving and how is that benefiting you?** Akamai Connected Cloud is one of the best AI providers and is easy to use. Plus, depending on the software you use, Akamai Connected Cloud offers the flexibility to choose the operating system. ### 5. Additionally, it offers simple pricing with no surprise bills or lock-in, and the same price across every data center. **What do you dislike about Akamai Cloud Computing?** Limited Operating System options: Linode only supports Linux operating systems, and does not offer Windows or other options.
