I don't have any specific concerns or issues with Akamai Connected Cloud, such as performance, pricing, or support.

We've been using Linode now, Akamai for years through countless migrations and operating system upgrades. They have clear communications and great knowledge bases at a fair price!

Sometimes there is a bit too much communication but the opposite is far far worse!

When we gained a big supporter, we also ended up unable to handle to impact from having millions and millions of users of the system. With Akamai, we were able to quickly ramp up load handling capacity far faster and less expensively than we could do in-house!

Linode/Akamai Connected Cloud provides a simple path for individuals and businesses to add cloud services. It is easy to right-size the compute and storage options to create public or semi-private services. The web portal makes management a straightforward process, much more so than many competitors in this space. Akamai comes with good options to access and tune each VM. We were able to spin up a Nextcloud VM that allowed us to share data with a third party untrusted manufacturing partner. It only took a couple of minutes to be up and running.

I wouldn't say I dislike anything specific about ACC, other than the usual concerns about cloud services in general. The cloud infrastructure needs to be secure, and users need guidance to harden their specific Linode instances and apps.

We typically host our web and other services on premises, but we started working with a potential manufacturing partner in a region known for hacker activity. We decided to use Linode to create a cloud share using Nextcloud to facilitate communication and file sharing. We backed up files to our local storage, and monitored access to our Nextcloud instance. We also set up another Linode that provided monitoring and alerting (Uptime Kuma) keeping an eye on our cloud and public on-prem services.

How easy it is to deply and adjust server setup. Also great customer support.

Wish they had more marketplace servises and setups for different services. Also maybe able to test Windows based setups.

It's easy to set up a server, integrate it with existing systems, and it has a lot of features.

It's a bit difficult to find help at times, and it's just a bit expensive, but that's mostly because of our small budget.

We use it as a proxy and load balancer, and it Akamai has helped a lot for our mail, because our previous host didn't allow port 25.

I've been using Linode for almost a decade and all i can say is that they have the best customer support that i've ever know.

Having Microsoft Windows as an OS option when deploying Linodes would be a nice feature.

It's neat to hear that they already have implemented fully managed databases as a service so we can rely on their expertise and forget about the underlying OS.

The intuitive dashboard and flexible pricing make it a solid choice for developers and businesses. Highly recommended!

Basic protection is available, but it’s not as advanced as some other cloud providers

Akamai Connected Cloud (formerly Linode) is solving several key challenges in cloud hosting, particularly for developers, businesses, and enterprises looking for reliable and cost-effective infrastructure.

That i am able to deploy multiple applications on my linode and the price is awesome.

There is nothing to dislike as far as I am concerned
