Akal Cloud is an AWS cost optimization platform that helps engineering and finance teams cut and control AWS spend across every account in their organization. It scans a customer's entire AWS Organization daily, prices every finding, and hands back the exact console steps or CLI command needed to fix it. It is built for teams running meaningful AWS workloads across many linked accounts, where spend moves faster than anyone can track by hand and AI and Kubernetes costs grow without clear ownership. The target audience includes SaaS, fintech, healthtech, e-commerce, media and gaming companies operating multi-account AWS environments. These organizations struggle to understand their cost structure because spend is fragmented across teams, services and accounts that change constantly. Akal Cloud connects to an entire AWS Organization through a single CloudFormation deployment that creates a cross-account, read-only IAM role, with member accounts covered automatically by a StackSet. Setup takes about two minutes. Every member account is auto-discovered and scanned daily, new accounts are picked up automatically, and the whole org rolls up into one unified savings view with no per-account setup. The detection engine runs 141 proprietary detections across 36 AWS services, grouped into right-sizing, idle and unused resources, modernization, and end-of-life coverage. Every detection is published by name on the Akal Cloud website, so buyers can check the list before they buy. Coverage extends to services native AWS tooling overlooks, including Bedrock, SageMaker, CloudWatch, DMS and Kubernetes. On the AI side, Akal Cloud tracks Bedrock token usage and cost by model with forecasts, and flags idle knowledge bases and custom models, idle or over-provisioned SageMaker endpoints, and GPU to Inferentia migrations. On the Kubernetes side, a lightweight per-cluster agent joins pod and namespace metrics to AWS split cost allocation data, giving EKS cost by namespace, workload and cluster, plus node group retyping, pod-request rightsizing, idle capacity and clusters heading for end-of-life version premiums. Every finding arrives costed, effort-scored and paired with the exact fix, so teams move straight from finding waste to actioning it. Scans re-run daily, so the savings picture stays current as workloads are provisioned, scaled and retired. Akal Cloud's AI capabilities center on Akal, an AI FinOps agent that queries live AWS data in plain English. Instead of navigating dashboards, users ask questions like "why did costs spike last month, which resources caused it, and who started them?" or "what is running that nobody has touched in 30 days?" and get answers traced to specific resources, accounts, IAM users and timestamps. Because the agent queries the connected account directly rather than summarizing a static report, finance and engineering teams can investigate anomalies, assign accountability and prepare FinOps and board reporting from one conversational interface backed by their actual billing and usage data. Canadian customers can have cost data, keys and processing kept in Canadian AWS Regions. Akal Cloud also differentiates on pricing. Plans start at $134.10 a month and are priced in flat tiers based on a customer's annual AWS spend, never as a percentage of the savings found, so the incentive to maximize customer savings never bends. Every tier includes the same complete product with unlimited users, so the spend band sets the price and not the feature set. Plans are billed through AWS Marketplace on monthly or annual contracts, with a 90-day free trial.
