We also love the ability to have multiple views across our roadmap themes and key objectives to understand where we can get the biggest bang for our buck. **What do you dislike about airfocus by Lucid?** The thing we like the least is that some of the titles on the roadmap that we set are limited in length in terms of visibility. When you look at the roadmap view, the titles get cut off. There may be a way to change this, but it's unclear, and we haven't found it yet. **Recommendations to others considering airfocus by Lucid:** If you are looking for a product road mapping tool that is easy to use and has a simple user interface, then I would highly recommend AirFocus. It is powerful but retains a great user experience. **What problems is airfocus by Lucid solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Airfocus to bring the vision of our platform thinking into fruition by understanding our goals, assessing the impact and value the roadmap items might bring, and comparing items to understand risk vs reward. We also integrate AirFocus with Azure Devops so that our roadmap items are synced to our development team's backlogs. Previously we've struggled to evaluate different features and ideas consistently and to make sure that we keep our vision and strategy in mind when doing so. The addition of Insights was also very welcome. We've started using that immediately and look forward to there being more integrations available for it. **What do you dislike about airfocus by Lucid?** Keeping Airfocus in sync when we start the development of a feature is the most significant pain point for us today. We haven't found a good way to report the progress of tasks to Airfocus from the task tracking systems developers use, which means we can't get an overview of the actual progress without leaving Airfocus. It's still way better than any other tools we've tested, and it feels like it's constantly improving. **What problems is airfocus by Lucid solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use AirFocus to keep track of proposed features, gather feedback, and to score and evaluate them. One's ability to customize the screen is good but not without limits that can be maddening at times. But, that is NOT enough reason to avoid it. I love the simplicity of the tool and it is helping me do some focused product planning without worrying about too many bells and whistles. It is simple but still is flexible enough for me to add my own custom fields and play around with the scoring formula. I also love how the standard template setup is still good enough to get started and the backlog flows smoothly into the roadmap and the roadmap into the release plan. The integration with JIRA also makes this so end-to-end because now I can turn my roadmaps into action items for engineering easily and have reverse visibility in JIRA as well. **What do you dislike about airfocus by Lucid?** I would have loved to share our roadmap publicly with our customers and get their feedback and feature requests here. Right now, this feature is missing. As work on items begins, Airfocus becomes less valuable as a result and then needs to be manually updated and synced. **Recommendations to others considering airfocus by Lucid:** Airfocus is a good tool for working with product management teams and executives. Airfocus provides a higher level view of items on mulitple dimensions that allowed the team to create a priority list based on not only customer needs/wants but also delivery timelines. The default settings often work well for me, but the flexibility is king. I can easily change my prioritization approach depending on the team I'm collaborating with and many other factors. The poker results easily translated to a score and the prioritization matrix is completely automated. Boom! Love it. **What do you dislike about airfocus by Lucid?** There are some quirks here and there but nothing too bad. There are some sorting issues in the poker, for example, which is annoying but I've been told they will address it in the future. The biggest issue I have is the lack of notifications and mentions comments -- not really possible to collaborate effectively. Again, reach out to them. With Airfocus it makes my life a lot easier to add the tasks during my reivew meetings, define the value, ROI and impact the tasks would have on the project. Furthermore the chart view assist me in identifying the quick wins and low value projects, these are the decision points assisting me in defining my roadmaps Finally the exported reports are useful for me in presenting to external stakeholders, I generally create two workspaces; one for internal consumtion with detailed tasks and another for external consumption and with high level details. ### 19. The tool is easy to use and the UI is clearly structured. I also like the flexibility in defining own settings for prioritization based on value and cost and the transparency that is created for the product development team and the stakeholders with the Kanban Board and Timeline view. Overall one of the best tools for Roadmap planning I´ve seen so far. **What do you dislike about airfocus by Lucid?** No real dislike, more a feature wish. It helped facilitate interesting discussions and made it very clear what product epics we should be getting after. Having tried RoadMunk, Aha, ProductPlan, and ProdPad ... AirFocus was the product we ultimately felt met our needs the most. Since we use JIRA as an underlying system for the fined grain details, AirFocus provided the right amount of roadmapping features that filled that gap that JIRA normally doesn't. **What do you dislike about airfocus by Lucid?** The feature that was missing from the roadmap timeline view was being able to indicate dependencies. While I wouldn't want a full gantt chart view like many of the other systems are attempting to do, it was clear that dependency alignment could be a feature improvement that airfocus should create. **What problems is airfocus by Lucid solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed a way to translating our JIRA epics into a more cohesive timeline view, as well as, seeing the tradeoffs between different initiatives in a more clear visualization. The normal process of assigning t-shirt sizes to engineering effort , as well as, business impact were easily accomplished in airfocus. It is well designed to be quickly updated, directly integrated in a report, or presented as is. The item table with its value vs effort calculation model is a nice feature that makes this product stand out of competitors. **What do you dislike about airfocus by Lucid?** Improvements can be made on rendering labels on charts (priority chart or timeline chart have issues with long labels not correctly displayed, or partly hidden, which make the graphs hard to read). The timeline feature has annoying limitations. It is nice for the big picture but does not allow parent/child relationships or creating dependencies, which I would have liked for more granularity (as in a Gantt chart). I tried airfocus as a power up to Trello and there is a disconnection between some fields that could be shared across platforms (start date and, end date, labels/tags for example). I didn't need the Kanban (which Trello provides) so I find that the monthly cost of the product is too high for just what I would be using, and can do, although not as nicely, with other products or by myself. **What problems is airfocus by Lucid solving and how is that benefiting you?** Prioritization of product features and sharing the Roadmap are the two main things I have been focusing on with airfocus, where it really helped quickly. ### 45.
