**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

Airbyte is a great platform for transferring data from data sources such as databases and api's to your data warehouse

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

There is nothing I dislike about Airbyte

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It transfers data reliably and quickly from source to destination, has a great selection of connectors as well as the ability to modify and create new connectors in case they are not already available

  ### 4. Great tool in the modern DE stack!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

Airbyte offers a compelling package for data integration needs, excelling in its open-source model and extensibility. Its broad array of pre-built connectors makes it easy to start integrating data quickly, while the web-based UI simplifies pipeline management. Overall, it's a cost-effective, community-supported tool that adapts well to diverse data landscapes.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

Although Airbyte offers a wide range of pre-built connectors, the list is not exhaustive. If you need a connector that's not available, you'll have to build it yourself, which requires time and technical expertise.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Addresses the challenge of varying methods for constructing ETL pipelines.

  ### 5. Excellent tool for all the Data Integration related tasks!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hardeep S. | Business Analyst, Consumer Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

Airbyte can be integrated to various platforms to get the error reports. The community response is quick. The data handling of Airbyte is seamless providing great experience.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

For a small-sized company of 200-500 employees with data reaching around a billion rows, Airbyte is a bit costly. Had it been available for a little less, it would check all the boxes.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The data integration among various sources have been made easy and the pipelining for the flow of data is quite flawless. Also, the error reports comes quickly enabling us to correct them in time avoiding major data blunders.

  ### 6. Open and Easy Data Transfer

**Reviewed by:** Doğacan D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

Deploying on a linux docker container was so easy, just follow the instruction. Local interface makes the integrations easy to configure.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

Slack support is good but a bit confusing,

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I integrate my organization's database to data warehouse with Airbyte

  ### 7. Great product.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fariha B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

Understanding how it is supposed to be used initially was a bit difficult but as I used it and read through there great documentation I found out how effortlessly data can flow from source to a destination

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

The community version doesn't support Jira server and GHE connections. Very hard to navigate around those two sources specially when we are working on DevEx metrix. Also the slack auto bot is good but I do need help sometimes from a live human

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Extraction of data from several sources into one destination.

  ### 8. Simplifying the EL(T) to data pipeline.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

User-friendly without the need for extensive learning. Allows for swift creation of data pipelines, supporting diverse data imports, and customizable import scheduling.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

Numerous customization options are available, but it also comes with several limitations.

The process of swiftly transferring data from one location to another, reducing the time required for coding.

  ### 9. Effortlessly transitioning data

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** ivan z. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

Airbyte delivers a user-friendly mechanism that's ready in a few simple phases: deploying, initializing inputs, configuring outputs, and merging the two endpoints.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

Navigating issues as an open-source enthusiast of Airbyte can be challenging. I recall struggles from the previous year due to obsolete guidance. Seeking community insights sometimes feels like a wild goose chase. Thankfully, such hiccups are not a daily occurrence. Once set in motion, it's smooth sailing until a new version comes along.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

easy to get started to build POC and apps runnig in prod.

  ### 10. Cheaper than Fivetran, easier than Debezium

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

Very intuitive, simple where it can be but it doesn't hide necessary complexity.
Good story around managing schema migrations. Great that it works so well with WAL.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

The error messages can be a bit opaque. We had a table called "group" that clearly obscured some variable name or something, and it took some guessing to figure out what was going on.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Syncing data from a production database to a data warehouse. It's significantly cheaper than Fivetran, while also being much more intuituve and more "honest" about its inner workings.

  ### 11. Reliability and flexibility improved data accuracy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ona H. | Renewables & Environment, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

The inclusion of checkpointing for extractions is a feature. I have no complaints about using Airbyte. The only minor area of concern is error handling and security.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

It falls short in terms of integrating used third party data sources. This limitation restricts our ability to consolidate all our data.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Airbyte solves the problem of data integration. It has reduced our development time and costs enabling us to prioritize tasks. Resulting in benefits, for our business.

  ### 12. Seamless CDC Replication

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bassim S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

We're early in our implementation of Airbyte. We're using the product to do CDC replication from Postgres to a Snowflake instance. So far it's been simple to use and it has generally worked well for us.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

There were some nuances that we had to figure out for ourselves when setting up our instances. Specifically, when automating our kubernetes deployments. These could be more documentation.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Replicating data between a source application database and a reporting environment.

  ### 13. Airbyte is easy to install and make data handling easier

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David S. | Chief Technology Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

It is easy to install and setup. The UI / UX is easy to understand and not a lot of configurations needed to get it up and running. Also the concept of source and destination make everything reusable and easy to manage.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

The only thing bugging us is the fail-big process. Meaning if something is wrong in the synchronization, it needs to redo the whole process again. Also the transformation configuration could be made easier to use.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sync OLTP with data warehouse.

  ### 14. Easy to use with a lot of connectors

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jan D. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

Open source, easy to set up, many connectors

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

Current version of Source connector changing from dev version to a current one after reboot. Notification only via Webhook.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Processing data from MS SQL to our data warehouse in BigQuery

  ### 15. Great ETL open source tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrei R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

Installs in a few minutes.Intuitive to use. Gets the job done.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

Not a dislike, but what could be improved: ability to install on AWS with Terraform, or Cloud Formation. But I am sure Airbyte is solving that as we speak.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Extract data from Jira database and insert into Databricks. Extract from any source and insert into MySQL.

  ### 16. Easy to use and good support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

I created a custom connector that hooked up a third party API with our data warehouse in about 10 minutes

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

Some of the features were brand new and broke a few times, but support responded quickly and fixed them (on the same day even)

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Connecting third party api's to data warehosues

  ### 17. Optimal introduction to the E(TL) framework

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matteo D. | IT Manager - Data Architect , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

- Ease of setup
- It's possible to create custom connector with minimal effort
- OSS alternative
- intuitive GUI

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

- It only supports time-based flows (scheduled/cron)

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Airbyte allows even non coders to connect tens of data sources to tens of destinations in basically no time

  ### 18. Airbyte is now the best ELT on the market

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anatole C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

The community is very helpful.
The speed at which the team implements new feature.
The possibility to add custom connectors.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

There was a period during which some connectors were not stable, but it has really improved lately.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ingesting all our data in our datawarehouse.

  ### 19. It is so intuitive ans very simple to build ETL pipeline

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

No code and development simplycity. Ease of use

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

Installation on EC2 could have been made simopler

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building ETL pipeline with minimum effort

  ### 20. Useful for ELT approach. Still a long way to go.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

Throttling, error handling, retries, rate limits etc come out of the box when it comes to Airbyte.
This will help us use most of the connectors easily.
Deployment is simple.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

Scaling will lead to a lot of issues.
Had to switch from using Kustomise to deploy Airbyte to using helm Charts.
Lots of intermittent issues on custom connectors will always be a challenge.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data Ingestion to GCS and BQ.
Replicas from AWS DynamoDB at regular intervals.
Replicas of other DBs on AWS and GCP like Postgres, MySQL etc.
Error handling and Retries.
Throttling.

  ### 21. Airbyte for large data transfers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Heather S. | Director, Data Engineering & Analytics, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

Airbyte allowed us to copy millions of rows from a SQL Server to Snowflake with no cost and very little overhead.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

Occasionally had to reset Docker & Airbyte in order for the engine to continue working.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pushing data to the cloud with little or no cost incurred. When we tried doing the same via a different method, the cost was in the thousands. As a non-profit, we have to watch expenses at every turn.

  ### 22. Great ELT tool, allows you to build custom connectors

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Music | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

The reliability and the ability to build custom connectors. The fact that you can choose self-hosted or cloud-hosted versions.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

Originally, there was no checkpointing when extracting large sources, but this has now been added as a feature.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is the best ELT system for integrating the less commonly used third-party data sources - it is not enough for us to integrate 50% of our data sources: we need them all.

  ### 23. A one step solution for scheduling jobs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tushar M. | Data Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2022

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

I have been using airbyte for the past 4 years and also involved actively in open source contribution. It is an awesome tool to schedule your batch and real time jobs.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

Sometimes, it's scheduler stops working, but it's manageable.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scheduling our batch and real time jobs with alerting.

  ### 24. Beginners review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

The ease of use both in cloud and open source is fantastic. The big selection of connectors, both source and destination helps immensely. Additionally there are different support channels

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

The help page displayed when setting up a new source or a new destination isn't always up to date. Setting up connectors in OSS requires far more steps than cloud connectors.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Airbyte is used to fetch ads metrics from a variety of different platforms and concets them to a single destination in an effort to consolidate all marketing related data for the company.

  ### 25. Torbjorn does Airbyte

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Torbjorn Z. | Digital Innovation Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2022

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

How easy it is to set up a Data Pipeline (ETL) from a source to a destinaiton.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

I do not have anything I dislike about using Airbyte.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the problem of connecting external data sources like FaceBook, YouTube, Google Analytics and brings our data into our Data warehouse.

  ### 26. Very convenient and easy to set up for quick ETL pipelines

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

Airbyte provides a straightforward way to ingest data from different sources into our data warehouse. The biggest benefit is it allows us to skip writing custom ETL code for each data source.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

Currently, the self-hosted version doesn't have a user management feature yet, so rolling it out to a larger team is not yet as streamlined as other OSS tools. But, it's a minor and temporary gap which I'm sure would be filled in a future release.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's very convenient for rapid ETL setup, currently used for non-critical datasets. The main benefit is cost savings in terms of time which otherwise would have been spent on writing custom code.

  ### 27. Decent for an open source tool

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

Hands on and can get pretty custom for certain sources when needed. frequency of new connectors, free, Universal object selection

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

frequent new releases, error handling isn't great. security (lack of it),

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

simplified source connection, no required manual maintenance, and pre-set integrations. free
