## Aikido Security Reviews
 ### 1. Effective Vulnerability Detection, Needs Enhanced Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Benjamin d.

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Aikido Security?**

I like that Aikido Security gives a nice overview and quick fixes through automated reviews. It runs weekly scans that highlight what we need to change in a clear overview, which is really helpful. The app provides quick ways to solve vulnerabilities, making it valuable for reviewing our codebase and app security.

**What do you dislike about Aikido Security?**

I would like to see improvements in a few areas: The code review in Cursor is good, but it doesn't always manage to solve simple vulnerabilities like SQL injection. Better info in the issue description for Cursor could help. The price of pentesting is very high and makes it difficult to sell to clients as real pentesting; the price should be lower in my opinion. Additionally, support could be improved for more complicated issues, like providing step-by-step instructions for removing old secrets in a repo.

**What problems is Aikido Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Aikido Security to identify vulnerabilities, with a nice overview and quick fixes. Automated reviews highlight needed changes weekly, providing clear solutions for vulnerabilities.

**Official Response from Michiel Denis:**

> Hi Benjamin,

Thank you for the thoughtful review and for highlighting the value you’re getting from the automated scans and quick fixes. We’re glad that part is working well for you.

Regarding the points you raised: if you’re open to sharing specific examples where Cursor didn’t resolve straightforward issues, we’d genuinely like to review them. We continuously benchmark and improve our AutoFix capabilities. Please reach out to us over email or through the in-product chat.

Regarding pentesting and pricing, we’ve worked hard to make the offering both thorough and commercially realistic compared to traditional approaches. Our goal is to deliver meaningful depth and actionable findings, not a checkbox exercise.

On support, our team is available via in-product chat and we actively expand documentation when we see recurring questions.
Appreciate you taking the time to share detailed feedback.

 ### 2. Effortless Setup and Intuitive UX with Advanced Options for Power Users

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wes M. | Lead Infrastructure Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Aikido Security?**

The ease of setup and the overall UX have an astoundingly low barrier to entry, but as an experienced SRE/infra engineer, I can still find my way to more advanced options.

I have used many similar systems, such as Snik, Detectify, and Datadog's Cloud Security platform, with varying degrees of success, and Aikido hits a very sweet spot between low learning curve and configurability.

**What do you dislike about Aikido Security?**

Some options I would like to use are currently restricted by cost due to team size, but I'm otherwise happy with the pricing vs features.

**What problems is Aikido Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Aikido provides a very capability continuous automated penetration testing system which runs continuously against our environments, alongside a regular solid manual penetration test with our security partner.

We are expanding to make use of other featues, such as SAST, in our CI pipeline that has more than met the needs of other competitors we were using, namely Snik and Datadog.

 ### 3. Game changing tool for shift left security mindset

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abhinandan K. | Cyber Security Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Aikido Security?**

First off, I rarely write reviews, but Aikido absolutely deserves praise.

This tool has been really reliable for MoveInSync's code security pipeline. It's clear that a lot of thought, effort, and love has gone into creating a product that genuinely finds reliable security findings with clear instruction on fixing the issues making shift left mindset seemless.

What I love most about Aikido is its simplicity and false positive filter capability, where you don’t have to jump through hoops of irrelevant findings.

It seamlessly integrates into our DevSecOps pipeline.

The UI is intuitive, the performance is lightning-fast, and the slack support team? Absolutely top-notch.
They’re quick to respond, actively listen to feedback, and are constantly releasing thoughtful improvements.

Having All-in-one: SAST, SCA, Secret Scanning, DAST (still in early stage), CSPM, and api asset monitoring tool in a single tool is really helpful and now I can’t imagine working without it.

This is exactly the kind of innovative tool that reminds me why I love tech in the first place.

Highly recommend.

**What do you dislike about Aikido Security?**

Aikido does provide a local CLI scanner, which we prefer for our DevSecOps workflow, but the experience has been awkward for branch-based development.
We have to run scans locally and manually set the branch each time. In our usage, the CLI treated each branch scan as a separate “repo,” which quickly eats into the repo quota on our plan (e.g., 200 repos), whereas the cloud-connected scanner lets us switch branches on the same repository and re-run without consuming additional repo slots .

For teams with lots of short‑lived branches, that repo-counting behavior makes the local option a little hard to adopt.

Also the PR annotations are cloud-only. Inline PR comments/checks work via the cloud-integrated service (e.g., GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket).
Local CLI scans do not post PR annotations.

**What problems is Aikido Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Aikido has been really reliable for MoveInSync's code security pipeline.
Having All-in-one: SAST, SCA, Secret Scanning, DAST (still in early stage), CSPM, and api asset monitoring tool in a single tool is really helpful and now I can’t imagine working without it.

 ### 4. Good free tier but steep pricing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Aikido Security?**

Regular scans of our codebase flag potential issues early. It has a reasonable free tier that could be useful for most people, and it also produces reports that help give partners added assurance.

**What do you dislike about Aikido Security?**

The pricing structure doesn’t really work for micro businesses with just a few people. There’s a huge jump from the free plan to the lowest paid tier, which makes it hard to justify upgrading.

**What problems is Aikido Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We keep a close eye on our codebase to support our security work. It also helps give customers confidence that we’re identifying issues and addressing them as they come up.

**Official Response from Michiel Denis:**

> Thanks for the thoughtful feedback. We’re really glad to hear the free tier and regular scans have been useful.

You’re right that the jump from free to paid can feel steep for very small teams. Our paid plans are designed for growing teams that need deeper coverage and reporting. Feedback like this matters to us, and we use it when evaluating how we package, price, and evolve both our free and paid plans over time.

 ### 5. Comprehensive, easy-to-use tool for growing teams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mate V. | CTO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Aikido Security?**

Aikido stands out by offering a comprehensive solution that caters to small and medium-sized businesses, while also being highly accessible and straightforward to implement. Its focus is genuinely on developers, rather than only targeting security professionals. Unlike many other enterprise tools, Aikido can realistically be set up within a single day. The team is super responsive and listens to their customers.

**What do you dislike about Aikido Security?**

Still meaningful amount of false positives especially when it comes to AI-backed features. Pricing is still evolving.

**What problems is Aikido Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Compliance and related reporting; container scanning, etc.

 ### 6. Low Noise, Nice UI, and Decent Pricing That Gets the Job Done

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Louka J. | Founder & Ethical Hacker, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Aikido Security?**

low noise, work done, nice UI, decent pricing ! :)

**What do you dislike about Aikido Security?**

Way too short trial, having credits is nice, but the urge to PoC in less than a week :'( <3

**What problems is Aikido Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

click click to plug a repo, then ultra-fast benefits, low friction ! :)

 ### 7. Intuitive Security Testing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Darragh J.

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Aikido Security?**

I like that Aikido Security provides actions and tasks that are specific, actionable, and clear to understand. It's easy to integrate into existing workflow tooling, and the initial setup was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Aikido Security?**

Pricing is high for a startup/small company to leverage some of the better features

**What problems is Aikido Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Aikido Security for code analysis, managing dependency risks, and ensuring implementation of security best practices.

**Official Response from Michiel Denis:**

> Thanks for the review, Darragh! Glad you like our code analysis and risk scanning. The step from free to paid can feel noticeable for very small teams. Our paid plans are built for teams that are scaling and need more comprehensive coverage and advanced reporting. We truly value this kind of feedback, and it plays a role in how we think about packaging, pricing, and improving both our free and paid offerings over time.

 ### 8. Effortless Setup and Clear Issue Tracking with Aikido

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brett R. | Co-founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Aikido Security?**

I liked Aikido's ease of use and ease of implementation. It made it very easy to get started with discovering gaps in your implementations. The way that Aikido does a good job outlining and presenting issues.

**What do you dislike about Aikido Security?**

The pricing structure is aggressive for smaller developers, but they have a great free offering. Sometimes the "daily" tests would not complete correctly for us.

**What problems is Aikido Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Aikido reviews our applications and lists any vulnerabilities that it may have.

 ### 9. Great UI That Makes Navigating the System Simple

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Aikido Security?**

Great UI very simple to access different parts on the system

**What do you dislike about Aikido Security?**

pricing - smaller priced pro packages for lower use users

**What problems is Aikido Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Is managing the volume of issues (i.e. providing a useful list for me to work through

 ### 10. Effortless Risk Monitoring, But Pricey for Startups

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Aikido Security?**

Ease of use / monitors in the background, flagging risks in real time as and when needed.

**What do you dislike about Aikido Security?**

The entry level paid plan is extremely expensive for a start up, even with the startup discount offered.

**What problems is Aikido Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ongoing assurance of our information security position.

 ### 11. Does what it needs to do

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Olivier F. | Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Aikido Security?**

We’ve been using it for almost half a year now. It works exactly as we expected. We’ve needed support twice, and both times we received a quick and helpful response. Integration with our GitHub organization was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Aikido Security?**

The pricing is quite high for a startup, which is the main reason we’re using the free tier — and for now, it’s enough for us.

**What problems is Aikido Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is easier to manage everything security related

 ### 12. Easy setup and integration. Also the support it exceptional good.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nico B. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Aikido Security?**

It integrates with all of our used services and scans for security problems and best practicies flawlesly. Also the provided rescources on how to fix the issue are really helpful. We also integrated Aikido in our Slack so we get notified immediatly when new issues pop up.
Setting everything up was very easy and the provided guides are up to date. Support is super fast and was able to answer all my questions in a few minutes.

**What do you dislike about Aikido Security?**

I honestly can not say anything negative about the service. You could discuss about the pricing but the functionality that is provided and the ease of use is totally worth it.

**What problems is Aikido Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a startup you don't have the rescources and time to look at every aspect of security when building your software. Aikido helps us to identify sucurity issues before we would deploy them and consanty monitors for new threads that might arise.

 ### 13. Swiss army knife for security teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Aikido Security?**

Aikido is a highly scalable and easy to use solution, which aggregates multiple controls in one place and integrates seamlessly with IDEs and CI/CD pipelines. The support team is responsive and made quick adjustments in our environment. Additionally, it efficiently filters out obvious false positive alerts, which saved us many MD.

**What do you dislike about Aikido Security?**

The only disadvantage I see is that SSO is available only in the Pro plan. As a security solution which well understands the benefits of SSO, it's a pity that it's not available to all (paid) plans.

**What problems is Aikido Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Aggregates a lot of security controls under the one interface.

**Official Response from Michiel Denis:**

> Hi there – Love reading you enjoy our IDE and CI/CD integrations and considering us your swiss army knife! On the SSO integration, do you mind sending us a chat/email? Let's see if we can enable this for you.

 ### 14. The best all-in-one ASPM security solution for startups!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Aikido Security?**

The UI/UX of Aikido Security is amazing, making it one of the very few tools on the market that does not require a lot of reading to integrate and use!

**What do you dislike about Aikido Security?**

I think sometimes the pricing model could be confusing but they are improving.

**What problems is Aikido Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Everything related to Application Security! From code, to cloud and runtime.

 ### 15. Great app to detect security issues

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Aikido Security?**

The setup was really quick and the app immediately delivered usefull insight.

**What do you dislike about Aikido Security?**

The price could be a deal breaker for small companies.

**What problems is Aikido Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Immediate detection of security issues that could be leaked by dev.
