It coordinates AI agents, human team members, and existing systems (CRM, M365, LOB apps) under one governance model — with audit trails, RBAC, prompt-injection detection, and real-time risk scoring. MIT-licensed Community Edition (free, self-hostable, air-gap-capable), plus commercial Business and Enterprise editions that add ML-enhanced governance and risk scoring, multi-tenancy, federation, and enterprise compliance. Unlike tools that score or monitor AI risk (ModelOp, OneTrust, Credo.ai, Holistic AI), it runs the work — orchestrating AI agents, humans (as first-class agents with capacity profiles, not just approval gates), and enterprise systems under a unified governance model. Model-independent across OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, and local runtimes (Ollama, vLLM) with no reconfiguration to switch. A 6-phase Control Spectrum sets autonomy per workflow and agent. Ships 43 role-configured agent templates and 177+ workflow templates across 41 industry packs. Runs n8n, Zapier, and Make as nodes rather than replacing them. Supports HIPAA, GDPR, SOC2, and EU AI Act via design-time governance + audit-grade accountability. Access AICtrlNet three ways: a visual no-code interface (HitLai), a REST API, and the Model Context Protocol (MCP) — so business users, developers, and AI assistants can all drive the same governed platform.
