I am a special education teacher who has a lot of students who are often hesitant to respond because of their learning differences. Ahaslides provides them a safe place to show their understanding and convey their thoughts. They find the countdowns fun and love the competitive nature of it. It sums it up in a nice, easy to interpret report, so I know what areas need to be worked ob more. Off-task technology use has greatly decreased because they can see my screen on their screen. The AI features through the specialized site on chatgpt are incredible, and I can have a 20 minute interactive presentation in 5 minutes. I highly recommend!!! The only thing I struggle with is my school is willing to pay for a subscription, but school cards cannot be used on foreign websites. AhaSlides allows for me to collect the data that I need before and after my professional development sessions. The engagement is much higher and the almost gamified formatting holds participants accountable for their reflection and participation without the survey fatigue. I am able to poll participants about their confidence level for each learning objective all in one question using a Likert scale. Participants can compare their answers with others in a way that is not vulnerable. I plan to use AhaSlides throughout my presentations to check for participant understanding throughout my presentations. It is so easy to pop the QR code in and participants can use their phone if they prefer. My participants are in the education field and I had many of them asking about how they can utilize AhaSlides to enhance their lessons. The free version is very limited, understandably. I wish that I could pull data. It is a bit expensive when budgets are tight, so I will have to show evidence of how much it enhances my practices before I can upgrade myself and ask for licenses for co-workers who would be able to benefit from it. AhaSlides is an excellent tool for creating interactive and engaging presentations. One of its greatest strengths is its ease of use — even first-time users can quickly navigate the platform and start building slides without any technical difficulties. The free plan has some restrictions that could be changed; for example, increasing the number of slides should not reduce the number of participants. In my trial attempts, I would have liked to submit my survey with 4 questions to more than 3 participants in order to get a better idea of the overall effect of a survey (effect of a pie chart).
